You should also react to some of the other members solos wile you are at it, Chen (also one of the main vocalists in the group) realized an album not that long ago, and I prefer the way he uses his voice in his solos, as it’s less of a show of of what he can do. (He is able to sing impressively high without using mixed or falsetto) anyways, my fave is “good night” on his last album. Baekhyun (the one you commented added style to his singing) is also one of the aim singer and also has a solo a album recently, and my fave track in “stay up” featuring Beenzino. D.O. Is the adlib king hahaha i hope you can watch their concert performance for Peter Pan, Lucky, XOXO when they were dressed as gnomes. Because those early EXO songs were very rnb and that’s why he was given a lot of parts as that is his forte. But in that performance, he was having a hell of a good time so he just went for it with additional riffs and runs in the background haha. EXO has 3 main vocalists who have very different styles. D.O. has an rnb tone, Chen has a tone suited for rock, and BH has a very emotional singing style.

Fanchants are a kpop thing. Lol random thought but would bet they started with an SM group (probably H.O.T.?) just like how bluetooth lightsticks started with SM groups particularly EXO (they were first tested in EXO concerts). It’s part of how kpop is like a very polished production-centered industry. SM has been around for such a long time so they’ve contributed some good things and some bad things to the industry.
