Thanks Arpi! Did you got this kit with Mersawa wood? Now they make it only with poplar wood. Maybe they are saving wood for a new “Starclassic Mersawa”. Agean make great cymbals, like it a lot. Cheers!
Nice demo sir... have you use double bass pedal with the kit? If yes how does it handle.. I am into rock music and cannot afford a full size for the moment.. Would you recommend this kit for a rock practice? thank you sir
Bushun Dyal Hi thanks! Never used double pedal on this. I think the Tama HP50 pedal is essential for this kit. The beater can hit lower, close to the center of the drum. This is great kit for the working drummer. Easy to go, lightweight, small, and really sounds good. I don’t think it’s great for rock practice or to put on the road for heavy hitting . It can handle a rock gig in a small place for shure, but it’s not for the the loudest stage. I think you could invest the money in something better for the task. If you already have a snare drum, go for the Pearl Decade Maple 3 piece shell pack (24/13/16) at $559. But I think the best choice is the Yamaha Stage Custom Birch 5 piece with snare (22bd or 20bd, 10t, 12t, 16ft or 14ft, and 14x5,5 snare) at $650. The difference between the Tama Club Jam and the Yamaha Stage Custom its only $250 and maybe the Yamaha it’s a better solution for you. Buy once and have a great drum kit for everything you want for the rest of your life. Practice, small venues, big stages, even studio. It’s a great kit. This Tama Club Jam is great “backpack “ kit. I really love it. Could rock but I think you’re better served with at least a 20 inch kick. Thank you
Nice drumming. I have a question. I have this kit and can't play it right because of the bass drum beater not hitting the center. I use a dw5000 pedal. I read on another video that this bass drum doesn't need a raiser. What I'm doing wrong or indeed needs a raiser? Thanks
Hi Mojica. Nice name! Thanks! When I was thinking in buy this kit had the same question. Even in the vídeo from Drum Center CZ, played by Patrik Benek, you can’t hear the bass drum very much. He is using an Pearl Eliminator and not hit the beater at the center of the bass drum. I notice that on their video, so when I bought the Tama Club Jam, also pick their newest “The Classic” drum pedal (HP-50). It has a height adjustment and you can make it hit at the center of the drum. If you got this drum kit or any other small bass drum, I highly recommend get this pedal. Sorry about my english, just learn from music and movies...my native language is Portuguese from Brazil. There is a similar pedal from Rogers (actually is the original that Tama copy, the Dynasonic I think), seems to be better because of the spike anchors but it’s a $200 pedal and the Tama (no anchors spikes) it’s about $100. I got the Tama Classic Pedal and put some velcro holding the bass drum legs on the carpet. Works great! Thanks Mojica!
@@alexalja Thanks for the answer buddy. On the video of Patrick playing this kit somebody ask him the same question of the raiser and he answer back saying that this bass drum doesn't need a raiser. I was like, how in the world this bass drum doesn't need a raiser??
Cristian Mojica For this 18 bass drum it’s really a great move getting the HP50. I use a Pearl Eliminator on 22, 24 and even on a 20 bass drum. But for this tiny 18 bass, this pedal is the way to go. You won’t regret. It’s Xmas time! Give yourself a gift, or better, ask someone to do it! Cheers!
Great video man, I have this kit too! I just wanted to ask if you have had any problems with the snare wires/throw off on the snare drum. Mine are messed up!
Catholic Mommy Thanks! This kit is really nice but the snare not so much. The resonant head on my snare didn’t make a week. And it’s the only bad thing that happened because I take a lot of care. It’s kind of fragile for a snare drum. Not meant for high tuning for shure. Mine still ok tho. Thanks again for you comment!
Catholic Mommy When I go to a gig, always take an spare snare. The Yamaha stage custom are a good and not so expensive snare. But I think it’s only come in 14 size. In 13 sizes it’s difficult to beat the Pearl Modern Utility snare. Highly recommended the investment in this kind of upgrade.
@@christianochris7564Oi Christiano. As fitas velcro no tapete ajudam a manter tudo no lugar.
Kit sounds good and I like your drumming. Nice job!
Thanks Geoff!

What bass drum head are you using?....any muffling?
Remo Powerstroke 3 Clear. No muffle, no hole. Full!
What head for the Bass drum?
Remo Powerstroke 3 clear
The snare is out of tune, out of this good sound and technique.
It happens. Thanks for your comment!
