Her acting in the glory was incredible! It’s so much fun to see the actors from The Glory in interviews like this, when you see how different they are from their characters you get a shock from realizing how good their acting was.
And she only have like 8 yrs since she debuted, I watched her in movies where she can demonstrate her range in Obsessed being her first movie she was great and then in the Treasorous with Joo Ji Hoon she debuted with 2 of my fave actors.....and then she stole the spot with Park Hyung Sik in High Society from main leads, like I could careless of main leads i was so immerse in her story with PHS she is so good glad this kind of characters give her more exposure, she is a sweet heart in real life that's why this roles she play them so good.

주말드라마에서부터 오랫동안 탄탄하게 쌓아와서 잘하는 편이였는데도 새로운 여배우라 그런지 그때는 괜한 악플 너무 심하게 받는다 싶을 때도 있었는데
이번에 좋은 작가, 작품 만나서 확 명성 더 얻으시는 기분 ㅜ 최고다... 열심히 달려왔으니까 얻은 거겠죠 이것도??.. 임지연 배우님 보면 자극도 받게 됨
사실 인상 자체는 순한 편이죠. 그래서 주말극이나 미니극에선 착하지만 좀 고구마스런? 역할을 맡았던.. 대표적으로 미풍이가 있겠네요 ㅎㅎㅎ 그러다가 타짜3,종이의집에서 다른 모습을 보여주면서 연기포텐이 터진듯 합니다.

This lady said she was on a mission to make everyone despise this character as much as she did and boy did she deliver. She was honestly one of the best actors in the entire show and nailed every single damn scene she was in.
She’s soft-spoken and such a sweetheart IRL, totally the complete opposite of her character! That just shows how brilliant of an actress she is. Her performance, especially the last episode, could easily get her a Best Actress award! She deserved to be Yeonjin!👏
I'd love to see her use the Yeon-jin character traits in an anti-heroic fashion. That would be a very interesting story. Hope the concept of an anti-hero isn't already played out in ROK.

Imagine The Glory pt 2 or 3 being about Yeon-jin's road to redemption even though she clearly still uses bullying and other villainous tactics against clearly established villains to where she does some form of good through her journey.

임지연 배우 인간중독으로 데뷔했을때 관계자들이 5년안에 대형배우가 될 재목이라고 기대 많이했던 기사들이 생각나네요.. 그 시간이 조금은 오래 걸린듯하지만 이제서라도 임지연 배우의 존재를 크게 각인시킬 수 있는 역할을 만나서 너무 좋네요~
솔직히 그땐 이정도로 뜰줄 몰랐음ㅋㅋ 이번작에서 완전 연기 포텐 터트려서 앞으로 기대되네요

@@카리스마-n8t 베드신이라는게 선입견으로 보면 그렇게 볼 수도 있지만, 저 씬도 연기의 일부라고봐요.. 대부분 여배우들이라면 꺼릴 수도 있는 베드신, 목 졸리는 신..등을 연기라면 적극적으로 임하는 배우니까요.. 그런면에서 임지연 배우는 못하는 연기가 없는 배우죠^^

저는 개인적으로 박연진을 연기한 임지연씨 연기가 제일 인상깊었어요. 파트2에서는 특히 더 그랬구요. 저는 깜방에서 일기예보 하는 장면이 정말 소름돋았습니다. 인간중독도 보고 상류사회도 봤는데 정말 이 작품에서는 다른사람 같아요. 앞으로 기대할게요. 좋은 작품 많이 하시길 바래요

I always have a deep admiration for actors and actresses who manage to convey characters that are just so damn unlikable. Im Jiyeon is so talented, her interpretation of Yeon-jin’s character is incredible.
She is really perfect for the role. She nailed it best villain for me. Hope she won lots of awards she deserves it.
Lim Ji Yeon deserves an award for this. She stood out entire the show without her it would be nothing. Her outfit she slay! She killed her role perfectly! Anyways, congratulations to all casts.

I can't believe Obsession was her debut movie. She nailed that role 100%. She acted so well that it seemed like she had many years of experience in the past. Even she was the bad guy in The Glory but i enjoyed watching every scenes of her. She really is a great actor!

After watching "The Glory" I think Jiyeon got the most difficult character in this series. She has to portray how Yeonjin's character looks like, feels like, and act like. Every character expression and movements reflects on one's character. Everyone does a great job on this show. I enjoy so much of each cast members every scene and every lines they had built together to create a memorable overall result.
Agreed, because despite her villainy, she still had to portray a whole range of emotions due to Dong Eun slowly destroying her life.
The scene, where she realized her Mom betrayed her. Also, the prison scene where she had to read the weather forecast. Those are some powerful scenes. Plus, there’s a lot more.
Her shedding a single tear while reading the weather report has stuck with me for weeks! She’s a powerhouse!
That was such a powerful scene. I nearly felt bad for her.
I actually laugh during that scene. It is meant to be a dark humour scene, that is just my opinion. One thing i love about k drama is the dark humour that is implicate in their films and shows however i am not a huge fan of k drama, shows and movied because there is just too much romances in it for me.

She was a terrific villain. She scared the absolute hell out of me. Not the slightest bit of remorse. Evil, ruthless and smart. The way they set up part two to have her using her cunning and money to fight off Dong-eun’s revenge plot was so effective
Was she really smart though? I think she was so used to her money and connections doing everything for her that she made a lot of mistakes. She didn't consider everything thoroughly. Or maybe it was just her arrogance that was her downfall. But arrogance and stupidity often go hand-in-hand.
