Revisiting a piece of history: The two bit calculator

I built this thing almost a year ago and I am delighted to fire it up again. It is a calculator capable of adding two 2-bit numbers and it was one of my very first digital logic projects.

what if you plug the answer wires into the question holes 🦫 will it auto calculate up to 3??

I am not completely sure what you mean. The wires only set the number, and depending on the combination of wires in the holes, it will solve different expressions. All holes are connected to the 5-volt rail, so it doesn't matter what holes the wires are plugged into. The wires go straight to the inputs on the logic chips, and they do not care what holes the wires are inserted into. All they care about is the voltage on their inputs.
