Max is definitely more goth than emo. Goth is black clothing and heavy makeup; emo focuses more on the accessories--belt chains, bracelets, piercings, etc--and on the hair, though the clothing plays a large role. Emo clothing is more of a costume; goth clothing is a bit more laid back.

The sweatshirt filter was hidden beneath the pop up color filter! Argh! There is literally a hoodie with skulls on it - came with cool kitchen I believe, it just doesn't show under the black filter, it has black tshirts but the hoodie itself doesn't have a pure black option. Although Max DOES look like he is trying WAY too hard to be emo. So good.

You apparently just need a botox injection to weaken the muscle that in normal people relaxes when eating/drinking. Only 20% of people needed a second injection.
You should see if the mother can get an agent. An agent can help sell painings for more money. I recently found that my sim could get an agent but I don't really know yet how it works exactly. I also don't know if it works for all sims or just for sims that have the artistic career.
