Sad news today that the remains of Émile Soleil have been found in the French Alps. No further details have been released at this time in regards to the circumstances surrounding his death. Our thoughts go out to his family at this difficult time 💙
Thank you for the update. May God rest and keep his soul. I hope we are able to uncover how this tragedy came to be and that any insight can be used to help prevent this in the future.
Hell yeah it is. That kid was taken in a car, removing his scent from the ground. He didn't just wander off, leaving no scent for the dogs. They can smell you days after you've passed by.
@@thehangmansdaughter1120 Or he had actually been gone longer than was reported with the family covering each other. Nasty possibility but one that should not be ruled out, especially in "very religious" families where discipline can be severe.
@@TrineDaely That's what I thought too. I'm sure the family lied about something. Whether it's serious (they're responsible for what happened to him) or minor (decreases the time of his disappearance, etc.) I don't know.
A 2 year old girl just went missing in Serbia,Bor county. She is missing from tuesday 26.03.2024.She is also 2 years old,and went missing from her grandparents garden. Her mother led her there with her little brother while house was empty to play in the garden. While shw went in the house to give water to her brother she was gone. There is also a forest and a stream and clifs nearby.Dogs, drones, whole town, police, rescuers, chopers are looking for her for more than 5 days now, they even dug up the ground suspecting she maybe fell into some water hole, they searched 8-10km field constantly with everything and they cant find her or even the trace of her. From day one they were suspecting mother foul play but that turned up to be untrue for now because there is no evidence against her.I don't know, can't understand. The only thing they didn't do is send a witcher to get her.How can this be?!
@louisacapell as prevalent as trafficking is, I don't let any of my kids go anywhere alone. I have four, 9-14. You just can't be too careful these days. My 14 year old is mature for his age, but he would have difficulty defending himself against a grown man.
I firmly believe one of two things happened: Either an accident with a cousin and family is doing a good job so far covering it up, or he was abducted. He’s not in the immediate area those dogs would’ve found the most minute trace of his scent. If he was abducted, could be anywhere. If it’s family, most likely slightly closer to home. But either way, he’d be carried out of the search area. So no scent to track. I think the police are wrong with their no criminality occurred here opinion. This case reeks of foul play to me, IMO. Poor little boy. 😞
@Tokuijin is right. I was in a situation 20yrs ago where a guy tried to break into my house and.. ahem.. me. Police brought in sniffer dogs and couldn't find him and because I was 7months pregnant, police put it down to a cat making noises and I freaked out. He didn't go far and had been watching the whole time because 2hrs after police left, he broke into the old lady's place across the road and tried to.. ahem.. her. I heard a window smash and the lady scream and called police again. 2mins later they came back with the dogs and flushed him out and got him. He later admitted to being on my property trying to break in. Police had to come apologize to me. So yeah, dogs don't always pick up a scent.
In my neighborhood (suburbia, USA), there was a woman that would take some pills, take a nap, and her 3 year old kid walked around the block unsupervised. Both parents were professional, he was an engineer, she was a nurse, beautiful house, but completely neglectful. One day this kid rings the bell in my house in the middle of an afternoon, saying he wanted to come into my house and play with my son's Legos. I'm a middle-aged guy and I was alone at the time, my wife was working and my son was at school. I said "NO", I grabbed the kid and took him back to his house. Had I been a sicko, I could have snatched that kid and nobody would have found him. Some parents/guardians are really that negligent.
I suggest that if that happens again, you keep the boy safe on your porch and call the police. Someone in authority needs to be aware that this child is being so badly neglected. One day he might not be so lucky at someone else's door.
A family member used to be drugged out and her two year old was found wandering near a canal. Police brought him home. Later she did six months in jail.
The parents are very fortunate you're a decent human being and took the little guy home. Just goes to show having money doesn't equal being a good parent. I work in child protection and would urge you to report these parents because this little one will do this again and may knock on the wrong door.
@@Ruth78620yep, exactly. My youngest bonus son used to get up in the middle of the night and get into food. He was 3. I put locks on the fridge, so he decided to use a chair to climb onto the counters and get into the uppers to get to the bread. After that, he was locked in his room from 11PM to 6AM (with a knob lock, not a padlock or anything). I was so scared that he would hurt himself in the middle of the night while we slept. We have an obligation to protect our children, even if it's from themselves. If the child in OPs story was an escape artist, they needed to take action to prevent him from leaving.
I find it really strange that there's absolutely no trace of him. I also can't imagine the pain his family are going through. I sincerely hope he's found soon.
Different cultures have different child rearing. Scandanavian parents leave their babies outside in strollers at anytime of the year. In Japan kindergarteners walk to school by themselves.
What is wrong with the people who saw him?! He’s 2!!! Just wandering around on his own?! That’s insane? Why was no one watching him? I understand kids can go walking off but it sounds like he was just on his own. Heartbreaking.
It's a bit like Jaryd Atadero, who was wandering around on his own, and was seen by people fishing in a creek, yet they didn't think it strange that a small child would be in the wilderness without an adult.
@@maxalberts2003exactly. And no scent whatsoever?? Someone scrubbed the scent clean obviously. My theory…they either had a hand in getting rid of him or they might have even sold the kid. No scent proves he didnt just wander off. Bloodhounds will pick up the smallest tiniest minute scent.
@@nicbro3831Where in the world do you live? I've never once known anyone to leave a 2 yr old toddler outside unsupervised. That's a ridiculous comment.
@@-LivingProofim sure you are American. Only yankees are so overly protective. In Switzerland for example its totally normal that kindergarten children walk alone to kindergarten and back. 😂
You simply don't leave a toddler to wander off by themself even for a few minutes because literally anything can happen to them during that time and some lurker could very easily snatch them away
@@Linda-in9nscertainly I would have Been the adult to get him off the streets Even taking him to the hospital is better than being with no adult. Or the fireball. Any place with not alone like this. I used to watch my girls like a hawk at all times. One daughter always wanted to get out of the house and sadly I slept through everything so I had a lock on her door amd told her hit the door with a toy and she would and then I heard her, I was so worried she would get out and me not knowing. I was taking a chance. The other daughter would come in and wake me up
The grandparents displayed complete neglect and should be charged with it. The statement that kids play outside with other kids is ridiculous, yes, kids do. You know who shouldn't be wandering around unsupervised? A toddler. How could anyone see a baby wander off and not walk with them to make sure they get home safe it's mind boggling. All these people are f'ed. Poor little guy!
Whatever happened to Emile, the strangest thing of all is that the dogs couldn't track him. Even the handler said that was unusual. This has similarities to the 411 cases. Also, from the facts given, it is odd that those neighbours who saw Emile walking alone, didn't do anything and seemingly didn't report this until a few days later. But those dogs not tracking, is very strange to me.
I’m tell you one thing, if I was watching my 2 yr. Old grandchild I would be with him or her every second. Watching over them like a hawk!!! Maybe they should question the people there. Something is very odd to me! 🤔hope that poor baby boy is safe and didn’t get hurt somewhere!! 😪
People were questioned, more than a hundred officers was on place a continue to investigate. Could sadly end up like for other, similar case, Gregory for example. If people here know, can be a local omerta preventing them to disclose their informations. Gregory is a typical case of something many people must know something but social pressure and ressentment prevent them to provide it.
Except for the neighbors seeing him, it's like he was never there. This is a very strange story. Thank you DH for bringing this to our attention and shining a light on this poor baby boy.
It’s always especially curious when small children go missing so fast. Their little legs can only go so far… it would seem. The “bird of prey theory” isn’t heard often, but even the thought of such a gruesome death is chilling. Whatever happened, I hope it happened quickly. I can’t imagine the guilt of the grandparents. Best wishes to Emile’s family.
Their have been cases of children wandering very far in a short amount of time. I often think parents' confidence children won't wander far by themselves is their downfall, beyond foul play or animal intervention...
@@janedoe4316 Usually those cases either later turned out to be abductions, _or_ remained missing children cases, but personally I think that the most common explanation for little Jimmy have strayed further than expected, is that little Jimmy was missing/ unobserved for _much_ longer than the parent(s)/ guardian(s) realised.
It's possible Émile was "snatched", it's more likely he wandered off, died in a fall, and his little body was simply never found. If you have done much hiking, you know how easy that is. Not long ago, the body of a hiker in a wilderness area near me was found in a crevasse near a trail. He'd been missing for several years.
An old man who lives near my in laws was found 1/2 a mile away from home by a neighbour, whose dog was barking at night. The Police search found nothing. The old man's dog returned home. Hopeless.
Oh the poor gawker. The humanity. Please lord let these cases be resolved not for the families sake but for the poor gawker that wants to know how the story ends. The travesty dear lord the travesty!
I don't know if I've posted this before but the intro music is so Haunting. Each time I hear it I feel like I'm walking at dusk down a path way lined with Giant Oak Tree's and something unknown lies further ahead just out of view. Thanks for the video.
The authorities may not believe any criminality took place but I disagree. His grandparents certainly showed a criminal degree of neglect when they let a two year old wander off and not notice for hours. As for the neighbours, who would let a unaccompanied two year old child wander by without checking on their safety? This little boy was let down by every adult in his life that day.
I read about some smackheads who took their toddler to go score some gear. Surprise surprise, they forgot about him and he proceeded to wander in busy traffic... for fifteen minutes until a driver finally stopped. I'm assuming the hundreds of other drivers weren't addled by heroin, they're just cut-rate third chimpanzees.
@@anonymoose116 Yes, I don't care where in the world you are, if anybody would see a child that young on his own, you would check around for an adult with him, before you took your eyes off him again. Nobody would walk away from an unaccompanied toddler.
This is so bloody tragic. I really hadn’t heard about this poor boy. He deserves the media attention that beautiful Madeleine McCann received. Heartfelt hope and love to all families, whose babies are taken from them in such awful circumstances x ❤
I wanted to say that exact thing - if the investigation into Emile’s disappearance even got half the attention and resources that was (wasted) on searching for Madeline’s (imo non-existent) ‘abductor’ I would be very pleased.
@@mortyjansen399 Indeed, same here in Greece, where I live, and in Germany, where my mum's from. The disapppearance been heavily scrutinised and even some journalists were sent there to report back on the investigation. My mum especially was very disturbed by the incident.
Why would a 2 year old walk by himself? It's ridiculous. A 2 year old needs protection not walk alone to be abducted. His father is crazy and could have enemies.
France is different than the US. Children are less supervised and more capable at a younger age. There are still strange things going on here, but you have to keep that in mind .
@@louisacapelleven for France, leaving a 2yo out is not normal. Maybe more normal than in the US, but not normal. Especially in the mountains, unless the kid is with other kids or with brothers and sisters.
@@amogusenjoyer yes, that is true . I don't mean to say they just put babies in the street and say go play. I'm more replying to people saying how they don't even allow their teenager to be in their own yard alone.
Something happened at the family reunion, maybe by another child & covered up to protect them. The family are the only ones who know the truth!!! Not a bit of evidence??? Not possible!! This poor little boy, someone needs to speak up, this is creepy & so cruel.. how does he just disappear completely???
I did not expect to see this case covered here so early after the disappearance of the young boy. This case has baffled France, as we have no clue as to what could have happened to him
Oh that poor child. Horrific parents, horrific grandparents, and most likely a terrifying and agonizing death. The "adults" in charge should be locked up for criminal negligence. Also, vultures don't attack people.
The area is heavily wooded, mountainous and has numerous canyons. And there is a steep ravine with a river on the opposite side of the road to Emile's grandparents home. The area of the village Emile vanished from is as you've mentioned essentially a cul-de-sac, so it's unlikely a stranger would risk driving down a dead end abduct a child and then have to drive past possibly locals who may have spotted the incident and be waiting for them to exit. In villages like this, any 'strange cars' are immediately noticed, as are any pedestrians. I'm putting my money on Emile wandering off and either falling into a ravine or river, or succumbing to the heat. To illustrate the issue, several years ago, an elderly gentleman with Alzheimer's wandered off from his home on the edge of Snowdonia national park and vanished. His skeletal remains were found several months later in a drainage ditch less than 25 metres from one of the busiest paths in the park. The area wasn't wooded, he was lying in the open and he was only discovered by a fell runner.
@@juliemcgugan1244 If he fell down the ravine to the south of where he was last seen and into the stream in the bottom, his scent would be washed downstream too. Also the local fields were being mown, this takes a lot of the grass he came in contact with away when the grass was taken away for feed. (And also masks any remaining scent with the smell of cut grass- the smell of cut grass and any smell of disturbed earth caused by footsteps would be hidden by the scent of soil disturbed by farm machinery.)
The family are the ones at fault for not watching him, but who in their right mind watches a 2 year old wandering alone & doesnt either try to find the family, or stop the child & call authorities! Had they done so he wouldnt be missing!
Omg, such a heartbreaking story!! How could nobody be watching a 2 year old baby!!! I think the grandparents had something to do with his disappearance!! If not, they would've been watching him!!
Very similar to the case of little DeOrr Kunz Jr, also 2 years old & left in the care of a grandparent in mountainous terrain. He’s been gone since 2015. 😭💔
Also Deorr was wearing loose fitting boots that came off easily at the time of his disappearance. If an animal took him you would think they would have found his boots or something
Re the locals thinking the village is cursed - if there are only a couple of hundred residents, odds are three tragedies are going to happen within a few years compared to a huge town
None of the theories sound "likely", and I was sceptical about the bird of prey theory, but it would explain the anomaly of the bloodhounds not finding any scent or trail.
@@randomcomment6068where I'm at (Texas), a 2 year old would be prime for a big cat, coyote, or wolf. All of which I've seen in the city. We have mountain lion, bobcat, and ocelot here.
@anonymoose116 Any ground-dwelling predators would likely leave a blood trail and/or "remains", and/or torn clothing, not to mention, as RC6068 said, a scent trail for the hounds.
Always especially tragic when children go missing they're so vulnerable and really are at great risk of getting harmed especially from adults who want to inflict harm onto them and toddlers simply aren't capable of defending themselves against such people which is why you need to be extra cautious when it comes to children to ensure their safety
Not very responsible i would say! You don’t take your eyes off a 2 yr.old. This happened sometime ago I heard a child that small wandered off and drank poison and died because he wasn’t being watched!! ☹️
The dogs not finding any scent of his, makes me think he was taken from there somehow. I know dogs, and it's very unlikely they wouldn't have detected any kind of scent of his, especially knowing there were more than just one dog used. I pray his family does get that miracle!🙏🙏🙏
I don´t aggree with the parents´politics, but I still feel the disappearance of this baby is just horrible. I truly hope that some justice is found for them, and for him.
My boyfriend is from La Bouilladisse where Emile is from. I had no idea this has even happened and I don't think he and his family are aware either, I hope the poor little boy gets justice 😢
Why was no one at this family reunion watching him? How did his disappearance go unnoticed for so long? Why won’t the neighbors say if he was with anyone when they saw him? So many people failed this little boy.
You are right. But it could be an explanation, that everyone thought someone else had an eye on the small ones. - and in the end no one did any watching whatsoever. - - then add maybe alcohol to the mix as it was some sort of party. - make people pay even less attention.
Believe it or not, the more people present, the more likely it is that a child will go missing. I certainly agree that he should have been watched but no one can watch a child every second.
That makes me think that the boy was never there or he never left the home under his own power. Otherwise, the scent dogs would have found some trace of him, outside of the property.
I have a two year old niece and whenever I visit her and she plays in her garden and I always have my eyes out for her. Like come on why would anyone think it's perfectly normal for a toddler to be outside on their own!
I totally agree. Three yrs old and letting him play outside alone. Kids have short attention spans and dont know they arent supposed to stay where they are. Someone should have been out there with him.
Honestly, the family, or the community, being "deeply religious" isn’t exactly something that makes one think "then they must be innocent" - au contraire!
@@itchyandscratching1434 Exactly, and I honestly feel that them being "deeply religious" if anything, should only make alarm bells start ringing! Conservative Religious people have a history of being in favor of corporal punishment of children...
@@gorillaguerillaDKI think the father also went to court over rightwing racist violence. So yea, there is your answer. Would not put some type of twisted disciplinary measure that went too far past them. The police is still investigating the family for a reason.
@@m00nrac00n Nope, hardcore right-wingers have a tendency to favor corporal punishment and strict discipline over positive behavioural support and restorative measures.

He was such a beautiful little boy it's my opinion that someone saw him wandering alone, picked him up and is raising him as her/his/their own. At least I pray that's what happened. I would never allow my two, four or seven year olds to wander off like that. If they're outside I'm right outside with them. And I have a fenced yard.
Hang on...people criticise neighbours for seeing him walk off...? Erm...at least SOMEONE had their eyes *ON* him!!! Where the fuck were the Grandparents??? They shouldn't have taken their eyes *OFF* him! Beautiful baby boy. ♥️
Yes the grandparents are at fault. I think that most of us are shocked that they would see such a young child wandering arpund by themselves and not check on him. However it could just be a difference in culture or a false sense of security based on where they lived.
@@faithoverfear1722 yeah, it's an assumed responsibility even if they did nothing wrong in that sense. Like if a kid gets hurt at school, it's the school's responsibility because you entrust your kids to their care. Even if your child brought it on themselves, then an adult should have been watching and stopped them. It's just standard that anyone looking after anyone below the age of 18, is responsible for their safety and behaviour whilst in their care. If it had been me...and I glued my eyeballs to my grandson to keep him safe and he still managed to get out, I know for a fact that I would be blaming MYSELF! There's incidences during my own kids lives where I still feel like at the time I should have done something, should have known something...things that no parent could or would forsee. Things that people said to me "you can hardly blame yourself, you weren't even there!" Like when my daughter was being bullied in school, it didn't matter, I still felt "guilt" that I hadn't sensed it in her or that I couldn't take that pain away from her. I think that's what most parents, particularly Mums, or the females in general, Grandmother, or could be an aunt or sister, tend to feel guilty for the child, more so than the male family members would. You know? Not trying to be sexist or whatever, just saying women are MORE likely to feel shit for something they played NO PART in, yet their child is experiencing pain or fear etc. I don't know, that's just been my experience, or I've witnessed in other mothers. So it just seems odd to have the attitude that "it's not our fault" and trying to insinuate it's the neighbour's fault or whatever. That makes me feel more suspicious than reassured. It's daft that we do feel guilty including for things we weren't even there for...but daft or not, it is a more natural reaction.....being like "I don't feel guilty cos I did everything I could" makes me suspect that person more. 😘
With all the obvious dangers around there, they let a 2yr old out to "play" alone??? This happens alot. Still. Older times people say oh it was a different time. Not this time. If he just got lost. Dogs can't find him. Very disturbing. Reminds me of William Tyrell. Everything you said. About neighbors and people just leaving the child to continue wandering alone. Exactly how I feel. And we HAVE had a two year old riding his bigwheel seemingly alone down the sidewalk. Stopped him until Dad/Grandad came strolling along. Thank you DC🙏💔🕊️🦌
I try to NEVER judge when it comes to missing children. But what kind of grandma leaves a toddler outside alone in a home located in the Alps near a cliff? I can almost guarantee law enforcement and emergency personnel wondered the same thing. 🤦♀️
Yep, the fact that a stranger pedestrian or in a car would be noticed by the neighbours and yet they saw nothing, would suggest that he didn't get abducted. And yet, the bloodhounds picked up no single scent of him, so that would rule out the possibility that he just wandered off....So it is very strange.
Reminds me of that case in the US - DeOrr Kunz, totally vanished on a camping trip, no trace again. Poor lil 2 yr olds both of them, no 2yr old should be allowed to wander anywhere! They need constant supervision!
I do believe he was kidnapped. They would have found something by now if not. I’m sure his family will live with regret the rest of their lives. It is tragic.
The area is too rural for a strange person or car to go unnoticed by locals. They are digging up a recently laid concrete slab next door to the grandparents place
Were the other family members, the ones visiting that day, interviewed? What time did they leave? Where do they live? It was stated that some of Emile's Aunts and Uncles aren't much older than him and at one point in the video, some were described as teenagers. Could one of the teenagers have accidentally hurt Emile, causing his death and the adults covered it up? I think the reason the dogs couldn't find a trace of his scent is because he never left that house walking anywhere, I think he was carried out. I think the search should have extended out or at least included the areas around the relative's homes and the route they would have taken on their way home.
I know all about traditionalist Catholic families (personal experience) and I can say confidently that they would have had a metric shedload of aunts, uncles and cousins of all ages to interview. It feels impossible for them to have gotten conclusive proof that every single one of them was excluded.
Sometimes I really do believe that little kids (2 or 3 yrs. old) are picked up by big birds of prey when they go missing and their bodies (and clothes) are never found. That's why a lot of the times these sniffer dogs end at scent. They just stop at a certain point and cannot find the scent again. Because the scent went up and not forward. I wonder what would be found if a drone was sent up into a "bird of prey" nest. As gruesome as that sounds, I believe it can still be a reality. If that is something that could possibly have happened here then my heart just breaks for this family 😢
my mum lived in a small village in germany and when she was about 5 her and 3 other small toddlers were playing in a yard owned by one of their mums and a massive golden eagle swooped down and tried to carry off the smallest boy,the mother heard the screams of the kids and ran out and began hitting the eagle with a broom until he let the boy go,he had deep talon wounds on his shoulders for the rest of his life,he was so affected the family had to move to a town nearby as he was terrified of the eagle coming back.eagles would take lambs and piglets when their food was scarce.
Incredibly unlikely as it's scientific fact that raptors can only carry a specific amount of weight. Heavy prey will be injured and left on the ground. The birds aren't magical beasts, they are birds.
@@bostonsandatot4948yes, but even a smaller bird of prey, the red tail hawk, can take off with a large cat. 15 lbs is about right for a toddler, so a larger bird of prey can certainly take off with a small child.
In Australia in 1980 we had the sad case of baby azaria chamberlain, taken by dingoes (native wild dogs). Never found. Her mother was arrested and tried as they were so sure she must have murdered her baby. Later, she was as exonerated.
Toddler's disappeared just down the road... village in lockdown... everyone a suspect... I know, NOW's the time to lay down a big concrete slab outside my home! Great idea 👍
So many people failed this boy. Leaving a 2 year old unattended is straight up negligence. The fact that the dogs picked up absolutely nothing is very strange as well. It would suggest to me that he was abducted, he didn’t wander off.
Neighbors saw 2 years old wandering and did not approach, it’s a shame. I saw a 7 year old girl in the street alone, crossing the street. I waited a little bit, observed if she was really alone. Then came to her, she could not find her home. We went to police nearby and they managed to find her parents
Such a beautiful place for an utterly heartbreaking tragedy to occur... I can think of nothing worse than to lose my child and to never know what happened to him... It's 2 months since Emile disappeared... For those who pray please pray... For the rest of us let's hope in what we believe in that this dear little boy will be found...
I find it odd that the parents are reported to be church goers who have their faith yet the father is a racist, and a violent one too! This whole case doesn't sit well with me, he wouldn't have just vanished into thin air
What is odd about that? Plenty of deeply racist Church goers.... Heck, some of them even use their religious beliefs as a defense of their racism - especially here in Europe!
It claims two neighbours last saw this 2 year old walking away from them down the main street did they not thing to ask this toddler where he was going or where is guardian was. I WOULD if I saw a toddler alone. What kind of freak villiage is this.
If wolves live in the area as mentioned in the video, and one of them took the boy, the remains of the boy, such as bones, would be found in a small cave or a burrow. Wolves are known to dwell in these spaces. Finding small human bones in burrows, underground tunnels or small caves must be rather difficult.
@@maylie2396 You comment without knowing or researching the subject. Wolves may recognize adult humans and be afraid of them. No because they are humans, but because their instincts tell them they are bigger creatures. Despite that, there are recorded cases of killings of adult humans by wolves (check the internet). Now, imagine a 2-year old boy alone!!! 😳😳 He may look as an excellent piece of meat to a wolf. There is a recorded case of a wolf that preferentially looked for children. It killed and ate 22 children. Look here in RUclips for a video on the subject entitled “This wolf attacked and ate 22 children,” published in 2022. Obviously, it is very unlikely for a child to be alone in a forest, but children have been killed by wolves in Russia. They do not leave blood 🩸 🤦🏻♂️ because they take the bodies with them.
Heartbreaking. 😢 Little Emile is SOMEWHERE out there, whether it be that he succumbed to the elements, was murdered and disposed of, or was abducted. I pray that he is found alive and unharmed, but, unfortunately, the odds are against that at this point. Prayers for this precious little one to be found regardless of the circumstances.
Wasn’t this posted some time ago? Very sad story. I get the feeling he was abducted, despite what the authorities say. Otherwise, why wasn’t he or some evidence of an accident found?
That is astounding that the bloodhounds couldn’t pick a scent!!!! The only imaginable things are (as Lisa stated below) a bird grabbed him or he never walked out of the house.
With absolutely no trace by the bloodhounds or later by the cadaver dogs, it does seem he was snatched. Two year olds can't go fast or very far. Not for an extended period of time. It's easy to blame the adults but you can lose sight of a two year old in the blink of an eye, especially when there are a lot of other people around. Poor baby
This reminds me of the De Orr Kuntz case. I don't think either of these little boys ever made it to any camping grounds. But if you were a monster and wanted a cover story, that's a good pick, eh? Until the scent dogs say otherwise. Look, if the child has left zero evidence of being somewhere, logic would dictate he was never there. I believe that whatever happened in both cases, happened long before the families left their respective houses. It is also no coincidence that the parents in these cases have less than stellar moral compasses in other areas of their lives. Whether meth addict or white supremacist, there is something wrong in these people's brains.
Father is a violent hate filled racist?? It shows a lack of mental maturity and possible generational abuse. Probably committing violence against his own family. Hate for someone else is usually a sign about yourself. And these people make enemies wherever they go.
One disagreement, being an addict may mean that you’re sick or that you have a mental issue but that doesn’t make you a criminal and CERTAINLY doesn’t make you an abuser or murderer. Maybe it can drive you to committing theft or fraud to get more money or to hide your habit…. But being a drug addict doesn’t automatically make you immoral or a violent person
I disagree with you. As stated in a comment above being an addict doesn’t necessarily make you a murderer. I would add that neither does being a white supremacist. Also, you didn’t listen to the narrator who said that there were two witnesses to the child walking by himself in the area on that day. Your theory stinks of prejudice and a rush to judgement.
It just makes me suspicious when a child goes missing and the parents aren’t screaming from the rooftops about finding their child. If my child went missing, the whole world would know about it and they would never stop hearing my voice or seeing my face until he was found. I’d be organising constant searches, I’d be out day and night wanting to search houses myself. I’d harass the media. I’d hire private detectives to trace every cellphone that pinged in that area. Id look into every neighbour in that area. I’d have posters up everywhere outside every house. I’d be wading through lakes, raising money to hire multiple search teams, look into pedophile rings and traffickers. I’d give interview after interview in the hope of pushing information out of someone. You would do whatever it takes. When they are quiet, and they make not one appeal, not one appearance to appeal for help, that just really makes me wonder. If I’m wrong and they genuinely have no idea where their child is than I wish them strength and pray they get answers. But something doesn’t sit right with me.
They are "deeply religious" and the father had to go to court over rightwing racist violence...So yeah, they are sus. Would not put it past them to hurt him in some type of twisted "disciplinary" action.
I wish people wouldn’t rush to judgement so voraciously. This happened in a culture we just don’t have enough information about, to fully understand. The narrator of this story explained that in this cul-de-sac community it wasn’t that unusual to see children out by themselves on their way to another child’s home. Emile may have been tall for his age and the neighbours may not have thought him too young to be out on his own given their culture. For heaven’s sake don’t judge people so quickly and harshly lest you find yourselves in a similar appalling situation. You don’t know until you’ve lived it.
Let me tell you one thing tho, even in village Europe we don't see it as normal for such young kids to wonder around alone. 5y old ok, but toddler that can barely talk, not so much.
@@randomcomment6068 You're right. I know people in the area (not this village, but the same area). No, it's not. Even 20 years ago, your neighbor would have gone to yell at you for that.

Hell yeah it is. That kid was taken in a car, removing his scent from the ground. He didn't just wander off, leaving no scent for the dogs. They can smell you days after you've passed by.

Agree. Then the house burns....more suspicion.
I agree.
To be a bit fair, canine sense of smell is layered, so, if something confuses their sense of smell, they won't pick up on it.
He is not abducted, come on.
@@Geronimo2Fly: Good idea. They moved to a different state now so this hasn’t happened again.

Such a tragedy. A 2 year old should never be out of your sight. 😢
If you take your eye off them for a second it could be all over.

The grandparents displayed complete neglect and should be charged with it. The statement that kids play outside with other kids is ridiculous, yes, kids do.
Kids, especially toddlers, can be remarkably quick. They have little legs but so much energy.
The bird of prey theory would explain why the bloodhounds found no scent trail to follow.
Grandparents need to be in prison for neglect.
It's possible Émile was "snatched", it's more likely he wandered off, died in a fall, and his little body was simply never found. If you have done much hiking, you know how easy that is.
The neighbours conduct was absolutely ludicrous!

Two years old and they didn’t realise he wasn’t there
Oh that poor child.
Yes, Emilie clearly just wandered off and had an accident or died of exposure. There’s nothing nefarious about this case.
But then why did the bloodhounds pick up no scent of him? That is what perplexes me.

A car picking up the kiddo would seem much more likely than a giant eagle from the sky, to explain the lack of scent on the scene.

It seems with so many people there, perhaps everyone believed that someone was watching him.
That poor little angel 💔🪽 Thank you DC🙏
Many blessing to the family and may he rest in peace.❤
Reminds me of that case in the US - DeOrr Kunz, totally vanished on a camping trip, no trace again. Poor lil 2 yr olds both of them, no 2yr old should be allowed to wander anywhere! They need constant supervision!
Rev Donna seriphina, has a RUclips channel, she has a video of deorr kunz
I do believe he was kidnapped. They would have found something by now if not. I’m sure his family will live with regret the rest of their lives. It is tragic.
Why would they have found something?
Not necessarily, if there is a lot of foliage it can actually be pretty hard to find evidence or even a body
@@eadweard. he was small and his legs only could bring him so far, not so far they can't find anything in the neighborhood..and no scent was found
The area is too rural for a strange person or car to go unnoticed by locals.
I wondered about that too. Were there too many little children to keep track of effectively?
I know all about traditionalist Catholic families (personal experience) and I can say confidently that they would have had a metric shedload of aunts, uncles and cousins of all ages to interview. It feels impossible for them to have gotten conclusive proof that every single one of them was excluded.
Or caused it _not_ accidentally, imo. An older boy, probably a teen.
I hadn't heard of this case before. Hauntingly it reminds me of the disappearance of little Ben Needham in 1991 -- very similar circumstances.
Right but they could have had it already planned before he wemt missing
From what I can tell this was all kept quite hush hush for some unknown reason 😥😥 Shame it got such low coverage, 🙏🙏🙏 for his family .
Update: his remains were recently located in the Alps. Rest in peace Émile Soleil :(
There's been an update today - his remains found in the Alps.
Emile Soleil was just a young boy with so much to live for. These unfortunate incidents are preventable nonetheless. My condolences to his loved ones.
The horrid white supremacist family that didn’t even care enough to watch or then search for a toddler?
"Was" ?
He might be still alive.
@@jareknowak8712One would hope so, but unless he's been abducted and now being cared for by somebody else, it does not look likely. I pray I am wrong.
This is so heartbreaking. My thoughts & prayer 🙏 go out to the family friends & the town of Vernay😢🙏❤️🇨🇦
Exactly.
True!!
What kind of freak villiage is this.
why would they leave him on his on to walk off
If wolves live in the area as mentioned in the video, and one of them took the boy, the remains of the boy, such as bones, would be found in a small cave or a burrow.
Little Emile is SOMEWHERE out there, whether it be that he succumbed to the elements, was murdered and disposed of, or was abducted.
I pray that he is found alive and unharmed, but, unfortunately, the odds are against that at this point.
Prayers for this precious little one to be found regardless of the circumstances.
If the boy had been run over by a combine harvester, the dogs would have picked up the scent of his remains.
Wasn’t this posted some time ago? Very sad story. I get the feeling he was abducted, despite what the authorities say. Otherwise, why wasn’t he or some evidence of an accident found?
Sounds like he was snatched by someone in a vehicle. If the dogs couldn't find any trace, it's the only feasible answer.
Surely the dogs would have found his scent prior to the vehicle?
If I remember well what I have read in the press, dogs found something but the trail brutally stopped near a laundry
@@passant6623 Brutally?
Not necessarily. Dogs aren’t 100% reliable.
brutally is perhaps not the better english word. In french, "brutalement" mean "abruptly".@@eadweard.
That is astounding that the bloodhounds couldn’t pick a scent!!!! The only imaginable things are (as Lisa stated below) a bird grabbed him or he never walked out of the house.
Someone picked him up and put him into a vehicle. Scent avoided.
@@randomcomment6068in such a rural area strange people or cars would be noticed easily
Or he met with foul play somewhere else and was never in that house. His arrival at and play inside the home was fabricated.
Poor baby
Something happened at home. Simple. Leaving a 2 year old outside alone is insane.
All very very Suss. Who are these people? Unbelievable
Prayers to this little angel boy that the Lord will be merciful.
It’s TOO strange that the dogs got NOTHING.
I hope they tested the house for blood.
I am not blaming anyone, I just can't imagine seeing a little 2-year-old toddle off alone and not running after him
'they were packing up their car for an outing', that's when they realised he was missing, total neglect.
This little boy was clearly taken. Someone driving by saw him and took him. I don’t even want to imagine what the parents have gone through.
Yea I agree with
I concur.
I agree, too many similarities in both cases.
@@maddieb.4282Word!!!!
I really enjoy the no-frills narration.
Emile is adorable
@@m00nrac00n I wouldn’t either, I just pray the truth comes out.
He was obviously snatched outside his house.
