Amanda Seyfried is a great actress. To see her play characters like Karen Smith, then jump to a more sweeter role like Sophie Sheridan then make the jump into playing Ruby, a waitress who doesn't feel like she's good enough and is a self harm survivor. That speaks volumes.
I haven't seen this film, I don't know what genre it is or what this scene is meant to be. But this is beautiful, the music and the acting from the elderly was incredible.
When I saw this movie Im fall in love with Amanda Seyfried bcz she looking very innocent n sad beauty that's is type of girl I'm looking for marry but unfortunately I'm still searching 😎😎😎
I can’t believe I need an explanation for a Christmas film, but why zoom in on Amanda’s cut? Is it supposed to be self harm? Or just a cut? Is it like a representation of her vulnerability? Or is it self harm.. hence the whole bravery speech? Am I overthinking this.
I think its because in the movie John Goodmans character and Diane Keaton character mentions how they had a daughter that died. And the daughter with the fake boyfriend mentioned she had a sister that died due to a broken heart if I remember correctly. I think that implied that she died by her own hand and Buddys character (the grandfather of the family) noticed the cut and didn't want to have a repeat of events with someone he cared about. Its not really 100% explained but this makes the most sense to me. Hope that helps.
This movie is exceptional
I love this scene 😌

Charlie McShane watch it, is funny and so much drama
U definitely should watch it
It's a small scene in a Christmas Movie called "Love The Coopers". All star cast and narrated by the family dog, voice acted by Steve Martin.
Wonderful scene. I love the music.
Amanda is a gorgeous beauty.
Yes, this comment should have way more likes!

This movie is ok but Amanda Seyfried should have had more screentime and more lines.
