      @Dats a paddlin only those who are lazy and entitled will want such. MJ, just like EVERY great leader believed in his teammates and his team. He believes that they can be better and he prepared them to not only be better - skill wise BUT he also prepared them to be as strong willed as him. The reason is, MJ knew that to be champion his teammates must reach a certain standard... that is why MJ's Bulls became THE juggernaut. That is a testament to how great a leader he is. LeBron basically smiles at you BUT wouldn't work with you.. he isn't patient and will trade the cogs away in order to get what he wants.
      LeBron does shortcuts... he either trade his teammates for others... or will leave and form a super team. MJ DEVELOPED his teammates... as hard as he is... that is tough love.
      Only the lazy, the one who wants a free pass will ask for a trade.

      @@normanlee725 Well put. Couldn't have put it better myself. As tough as MJ was on his teammates, I would rather go through that than somebody smiling in my face then turn around and say stuff to management about me without saying anything to my face. And we saw also that Michael's style won, and as you so eloquently put it, his team became a juggernaut. That's on him as the leader. LeBron has been given every advantage to succeed with management kowtowing to him and bending to his demands, paying over the top for mediocre teammates like Tristan Thompson and JR. Smith, both at LBJ's behest. Trying to get Kyrie traded was unforgivable in my opinion, confirming what we all know... that LeBron is a terrible GM.

Can I remind everyone that in 1989 when Jordan was asked to play as a Guard for the Bulls as an experiment that he made 10 straight tripple doubles............ so MJ the 🐐 CAN in fact pass the ball very well and I wouldn't bet against the GOAT if he lined up with Lebron on a passing skill test. In 1989 Jordan had to play Point Guard for 11 games because of an injury to another player. Jordan recorded 10 triple doubles out of 11 games and 7 straight triple doubles. His stats for the 11 games were as follows: 33.6 Points per game, 11.4 rebounds per game, 10.8 assists per game, 2.9 steals per game, 0.8 blocks per game and shot 51% from the field. Indeed. Impressive. How about career wise? Chicago did NOT need MJ to pass the rock. The triangle offense made sure the rock was touched by everyone. Otherwise, MJ would still be shooting the ball today (joke). My point is, they needed MJ to put numbers on the board and score. He was a natural scorer with instant amnesia and no conscious. He was going to go out shooting. He was NOT a facilitator like Magic, Bird, Lebron, Kidd, Nash or Stockton. I admit he learned to pass more as he matured, but I think Phil, Tex and the triangle offense made sure of that.

Once that happened, his crew decided to change the narrative and do the one thing Jordan was criticized about not being an "Activist on social issues". All he's doing is trying to sway people with off the court moves. It's great! But it doesn't change that he's not MJ on the court. Had he won 8 rings in Miami. That’s the #1 thing that I had a problem with Lebron that Rob states right off the bat, Jordan was not anointed. Lebron before we stepped onto the NBA court, they dubbed him the “chosen one”. And maybe it’s his embracing of that. I really do enjoy watching Lebron play. He is awesome! All out awesome. But we’re nitpicking because we are discussing best of the best, see MJ in his interviews and his humility, just wanting to be in the conversation and that the eras are incomparable. It’s literally on youtube. And Lebron just brings out, I’m the best ever. Bruh. Jordan has to earn his stripes. He stayed, and he got over the challenges. Lebron literally ran to not just a star studded team, but a superstar team. He lost me there. I wish he just stayed with the Cavs, bled and won with his hometown team.

      The main reason I watch first take more than undisputed is because at least they use reason in arguments n they don't change them to support a different like Skip saying one thing about MJ and changing the basis of his argument just to argue how great Brady is...plus nobody wants to listen to Skip talking about the cowboys in almost every segment when they haven't done jack

      @cyber6sapien 4 года назад

      Agreed.

  • @megadrive6573
    @megadrive6573 4 года назад +15

    Well, obviously MJ didn't litteraly always took the last shots...but he did it like what...90% of the time...he would just take over the game at some point and played like it from the beginning till the end...in 1998. Even with the Wizards at 40...he would still do it most of the time. That's not even worth mentioning it.
    I want to talk abour the passing...Lebron is a great passer for a big man and a great passer, period but not better than Jordan. First of all, assists were not counted the same way. In Jordan's era, when you passed the ball to a player, if he'd take one dribble and score, it was not considered an assist. In today's game, when a player takes 6 dribbles after receiving the pass and score, it's still being considered an assist. So, let's not get carried away with the stats.
    Second, Jordan played in the triangle offense for most of his career and it took away from his assists numbers. When he played the point guard position only a full month in 1989, he averaged 32/8/8/54%. So, having the ball a lot and playing a different position changes the numbers. And back then, players were playing their positions. The game was more rigorous/organized from that perspective.
    Third, and for some reasons, it's probably the most overlooked aspectof Jordan's career but he had poor offensive help.
    With Jordan's teammates struggling offensively, it obviously made it harder to get assists. In the 1996 title run, the 72-10 Bulls became the only championship team since the 1964 Celtics where the 2nd and 3rd scorers both shot under 40% for the playoffs.
    Can you imagine that?
    Even better than that, in the 1997 title run, Jordan became the only player to ever lead a championship team to the title with only one double digit scorer for the playoffs. Pippen had 19 ppg on a sub-par 42%, and all other Bulls failed to reach 8 ppg. That's absolutely unheardof.
    Moreover, the 1997 and 1998 Bulls have the two lowest scoring supporting casts by a winning team in the NBA Playoffs in the shot clock era.
    So, like Rob Parker would say...there is a context to it. But go back and watch the video "Michael Jodan's playground" when players talk about Jordan being in the category of Magic and Bird as a passer (with the highlights). It's nothing new, he just wasn't marketed this way. Go watch on his wikipedia page, when MJ talks about how the nba marketed him just as a scorer instead of an all around player. Nothing new really...

    • @anthonyzarate9807
      @anthonyzarate9807 4 года назад

      ...also, Lebron is the most overrated passer in NBA history. Many of his assists come from him having the ball in his hands well over 90% of the time. Don't get me wrong, he is a good passer but this foolish notion that he is anywhere near the level of a Magic or a Bird is absolutely LAUGHABLE!!!

    • @anthonyzarate9807
      @anthonyzarate9807 4 года назад

      P.S. and while MJ was every bit as good a passer as Lebron, he is nowhere near the level of a Bird or Magic. Jordan was a much better scorer than both Bird and Magic but Bird was way above Magic as far as scoring and shooting. Bird was actually a better all-around player than Magic, Magic just had a longer career and more accomplishments because he was a little younger and stayed healthier longer. Not to mention he had the better team and more talent 90% of the time they played each other.

    • @anthonyzarate9807
      @anthonyzarate9807 4 года назад

      P.S.S. and Bird was by far the superior defender and had a higher basketball IQ as well.

    • @peterstark4562
      @peterstark4562 4 года назад +1

      Preach! MJ creates double teams in crucial situations and pass the ball to an open team mate for a WIDE open jumpshot or dunk. The steve kerr shot in the finals and wennington's dunk in double nickel game happened bec of jordan's ability to create a double team and pass the ball at the right moment. On the other hand, you have a big point forward with a mismatch on top of the key, didnt create a double team, decided to pass it to a cutting role player/point guard then gets fouled underneath the basket. As a result, pg was forced to shoot crucial free throws. Also this big point forward had a foul troubled defender on him, attacked the basket, wasnt double teamed, but still passed the ball to a spot up 3 pt shooter that was challenged and missed the shot.

    Younger folks know Bron a crybaby, faux woke, great player but not close to Mike on or off the court business wise.
    Jordan is a billionaire 2 times over. He gave way more money to the community and not for a Nike promo shoot or for Twitter. MJ employs way more black folks than Bron ever will with his Jordan brand alone not to mention the NBA players. Let's count the executives for Charlotte also.
    Fred Whitefield, James R Jordan, Donna Julian, Seth Bennett all BLACK EXECUTIVES on the hornets.

Why are you hating on the man. He keeps his nose clean and plays ball and is still vilified for it. I don't get it.

    Jordan has a much more story book career and resume than LeBron. Iconic moments: the 63 points in Boston Garden playoffs, the 88 dunk contest, game winner vs Cavs, flu game/squirts game and the Last Shot. Lastly, LeBron should have never worn number 23. He's a one of one all-time great but constantly being compared to MJ is not fair to anybody.
