Its crazy to see how little people actually delve deep into the glass beach album. seeing these experimental tracks have so few views compared to bedroom community, classic j, neon glow, glass beach, and cold weather is insane, because personally I love this track. I love forever, i love bone skull, i love rat castle and dallas. As a glass beach super fan who has delved into casio dad and all of the history of glass beach, even listening to the original glass beach's first ever track, I cant see how people can pass up these beautiful tracks in favor to the popular tracks. Soft is my favorite track because it really sounds like the musical embodiment of emotional pain to me. Every note is so thought through in every glass beach album song and I really hope the band relives this absolute musical masterpiece in their future music. Glass beach will always remain as my favorite band of all time.
I think it’s because the glass beach audience is more into upbeat songs than ones portraying “emotional pain” Unfortunately, most people aren’t into this kind of music :( and it’s quite a different vibe from the others
I cried so much to this song during high school when I wasn’t sure I would make it through. The stress of everything and the creeping dysphoria was killing me. Listening to it now feels so bittersweet and nostalgic.
I was recommended this band on Spotify a couple hours ago and by far this is my favorite song next to Yoshi's Island off the album. The whole thing is an experience, literally. Like I would recommend someone sits down and listens to the album froom start to finish and not just separate songs because it flows so well together. Basically i really fucking love it lol
As much as i love this band, they're never gonna be mainstream. Mainstream likes 4/4 4 chords, this band has crazy songs with incredible music theory and their fusion of genres is ultimately going to keep them out of mainstream.
@@Fat3Distr0 As much as I like being a fan of a small band I feel that they’re going to blow up soon just like how a couple of their songs have gone viral
This song popped up randomly while I was listening to music and instead of skipping songs I don’t know like I usually do, I kept listening cause i loved the style and I’ve been hooked since :)
[lyrics] Yeah I know Know what you're thinking It seems like I Just can't stop making Everything about myself Time goes by And nothing's changing But I stay here And I stay waiting All the time I'm out of my mind And I tell you I'll be better But I can't guarantee it 'Cause when you say that you think I'm perfect I really just can't see it When I'm standing in the bathroom And I'm crying in the mirror 'Cause I just can't stop wondering How could I get so soft? (Who’s else can relate to these lyrics lol)
The experimental tracks on this album are incredibly underrated imo, I'm looking forward to their next album where J said there's going to be more experimental tracks

Glad I got pretty good fucking taste fr fr
How did you find the "original glass beach"? I remember j mentioning it in the documentary, but I haven't seen any of the songs.

i do too, but i listen to it and it makes me feel better ❤
the ambiance that this creates is so hard to describe yet so familiar
Never realized how sad these lyrics were. Jesus this album brings a flurry of emotions
the chord progression from 1:05 to the end is so beautiful

[lyrics]
Yeah I know
Know what you're thinking
It seems like I
Just can't stop making
Everything about myself
Time goes by
And nothing's changing
But I stay here
And I stay waiting
All the time
I'm out of my mind
And I tell you I'll be better
But I can't guarantee it
'Cause when you say that you think I'm perfect
I really just can't see it
When I'm standing in the bathroom
And I'm crying in the mirror
'Cause I just can't stop wondering
How could I get so soft?
(Who’s else can relate to these lyrics lol)

my second favorite song yippee
awesome
Want to smoke a joint with me in Portland
Great song :)))))
Cool
Real
This song literarily sounds like its form a VR game called Boneworks! The lyrics even work its so crazy
I’m a big fan of the SLZ games, I’m going to be honest this fits more as a Bonelab song with the actual uses of lyrics and the more abstract tone
This song makes me think of vash the stampede 😢
💗💛💙
