Hey holdy :). I use a Hakko FX-888 soldering iron that I've had for about 10 years now. They have newer digital versions that are similar. I am not experienced with soldering really small components, like BGA chips. When I've seen others work at that scale, they usually used solder paste and a reflow oven or a heat gun type of soldering operation. This is very cool! It makes me want to set up my aquarium again and integrate some of this stuff in with the automation end of it.
