@2:26 "...so we must be some crazy mother fuckers or something, cuz we can get along real great for a moment and then we can't, so that's insanity... you know cuz we must be good all the time, if we can get good for a little while." Something about that quote stood out to me, so beautiful, it's so easy to get caught up in the darkness and divisions in the world forgetting that we can all come together and laugh or sit in awe at a piece of art or music. We're all human at the end of the day and deserve to treat each other with love, compassion, and dignity for the sake of everyone's benefit. A society where we look and care for our fellow people and instead of the rapid descent into polarization, division, isolation, and mistrust that is currently spreading. It's in all our best interests to come together and yield that collective power to help change our society for the better instead of focusing on arbitrary banners and descending into a dog-eat-dog, everybody for themselves nihilism while the pieces of the pie are gobbled up mercilessly by the 1% of the 1%. Black or white, gay or straight. whatever it be you have more in common with your fellow citizen navigating our society to survive than any of the ruling class who uses politics to keep us divided and focused on division than realizing we can come together to truly enact change. I wish we could collectively remember we all have more in common than we think, moments just like this quote. that reinforce and propel that faith in humanity.
I watched him when I was little (10 or so). I'd sneak it on cable after parents were asleep. I laughed so hard then even though I didn't understand all of it. I laugh just as hard now. Richard was priceless.

the fact his quote about all you have to do is let someone know you have a b@mb . not even use it. learning today the hiroshima at 3 miles away ( this just the first incoming wind. ) - would take 6 seconds to reach someone, at 60 mph. and as many other videos have said.. its not the heat, so much as you know.. the wooden telephone pole that came from 2 miles away to see you !

Story just showed up in the news yesterday, it explained how the so called "trickle down" economics hasn't worked, and has created problems we're experiencing today in 2024. But inevitably, his apologists will respond to this. It's amazing how people will always defend rich people who don't care a thing about them, and will screw them (and all of us) over.

We had a nuclear shelter a ten minute walk from my house as a kid. They demolished that old grade school 30 years ago. This area was mostly farms then. Richard was making a real point then. The farms are gone, too. Funny how they take for granted we probably won't need that anymore. Too many people to fit in it now anymore. We will just have to put our heads between our lags and kiss our buts goodbye.:)
@RedTheManalorian I doubt it was LBJ, as he was out as of Jan 69. In this bit Prior did briefly mention Superman II, which he had been in, which I think is more likely Ford, but I have not looked it up.
Wanna find the nearest fallout shelter? Easy. Just find the nearest Federal Government owned facility. Military bases. NASA facilities.....etc. they all have one. Guaranteed.
It's like you are just saying not funny at all on all his videos. He's arguably the best comedian the world has ever seen so much so I scoured for his videos and I didn't get to meet him at all. He died way long time before I was born. My guess is you are just plain racist.
