Catching (BIG) Red River Channel Catfish

Today I went out on the Red River of the north to target Channel Catfish.
There has been a severe drought going on in North Dakota these passed months.
I was using Cut Goldeye for bait. I"ve been finding the larger catfish hanging out in deep bends, and near current. I Appreciate Everyone for Watching! Have a Great week. Go out and catch some fish!

My brother floats a big bobber up that trib at the waterfall and catches monster chans and even walleye and Northern. Absolutely love that spot!!! Great catches sir!!!!

Having the same problem here to NW Illinois on the rock river. Its not as bad as 1988 but it sucks here too. The water level is very low using cut bait I've had luck but the turtles like it too. LOL

I use a plain hook with a worm and a clip on bobber. If you watch my video “how to catch monster channel catfish” I detail how to catch goldeyes a little better.
