Power in truth "your current state is only in relation to your desired state" the desired state is artificial that you cooked up based on what you have been fed through society, various gurus/teachers and other things/people you admire. 1:25 to 2:30 that explains the vipassana meditation class I experienced. The teaching was to not attach to the pleasure or the pain, and yet the amount of pain in the meditation room was writhing in misery. The vipassana teaching is that the more your observe the sensation it goes away. But, here UG explains it in a way that makes sense to me. The technique already provides the division that it seeks not to have; which in turn provides pain. No wonder he said meditation (of this type) is evil. Chasing after observing a sensation through non-atachment, but still going into the meditation with the purpose of observing the sensation now seems insane. Millions of vipassana meditators and the world hasn't changed a bit. Millions of christians, buddhists, sages, and the world is still the same duality. hmmm.

Without Duality, do you expect world to exist? This world of duality exists only because YOU (Absolute Reality/ Supreme Self) that is pure potentiality (I Am) desires to experience itself as “I am This” and “I am That” .. It’s so beautiful that You the blissful immaculate One without a Second Perfect Infinite Self imagines and brings about an existence of duality spontaneously out of nothingness and experiences particularity for sometime using Maya altho being the Indivisible Whole.. How amazing is it.. The only problem lies in forgetting yourself as That and identifying yourself with thoughts and unnecessarily creating havocs of suffering and desires not knowing you are the Source of it All.. If you are just Aware and in sync with your Self, imagine your life just as you want it and it manifests as you imagine for you have imagined your body, mind and entire existence in the first place! If everyone realizes Self, all become Buddha, who will marry? And how will divine play of Self (creation) continue? Why bother about others.. There are no others.. Be aware of yourself.. Your own Self Realization will be the biggest service to existence! How you see world is reflection of your consciousness! Don’t hold negative feelings about your universe for it becomes as you feel about it! That’s your own super power!

I don’t man, I know for sure that the brain much more powerful when there no thought and there is silence, you become everything around and there is love every there, decently there that experience to be discovered, you don’t know about this state because nobody told about attention, when there is attention to the thoughts the mind becomes quite, it just happens,what is the point to be lost in thought, the thoughts are nothing but just response to memory

I'm not convinced animals are not self conscious. They've just done studies on flies that show they do feel pain and once they experience it they spend the rest of their lives trying to avoid it.
They are self conscious, there is a video of some primate looking in a mirror. At first it thinks there is another primate in front of itself but then after some time realizes it is only its own reflection
@@kaz287 Exactly. And U. G. blasts all the scientists in his Frustration video, but then conveniently uses the theory of evolution when it suits him. I'm not saying he doesn't have some insights, but he's bullshitting half the time and won't give people long enough to really question him. He just talks over them and tells them they don't have to stay and he doesn't care if they are there or not. There's nothing particularly profound about the willingness to doubt everything, except that most people are not willing to do it, but even U. G. doesn't doubt everything.

@@willissudweeks1050 Absolutely. I agree. I sit here and I am in love with the man for the insight and perspective. I think it is life changing and life saving. He is probably the most honest human being I have ever met. I'm just glad we got to record him because can you imagine the bullshit that would have spread up around him without the camera? I know ultimately we all interpret but it has to be admitted that less interpretation can take place when we can sit in the very conversations. Can we do that with Jesus or Buddha or Muhammad?

1) When you have no self-consciousness, what happens to the social agreement you have with others? For instance, if someone has angered me, I could simply end that person's life, or, worse, inflict bodily harm, without any consideration for the law or even for the other person's health.
2) Isn't self-consciousness important for the advancement of esoteric fields like mathematics and theoretical physics? Without rigorous thought, how could these fields have been developed in the manner that they are today?

The word self-consciousness is used here carelessly. Before we ask the questions, the fact of self consciousness would have to be explored... And if we did contemplate this fact fully, then I don't think we would be asking these questions.

That moment is anger itself.. there is no you that is angry in that moment.. It’s when the moment has subsided, the stale memory that is knowlege hits you when u get out of that moment and say I was angry! The question simply arises here that who is this “I” that was angry? Who does anger come to? What is the source of this thought and from where does it arise and to whom is it? These are crucial questions one must ask in Self Inquiry and then the real discovery starts.. beyond words, beyond knowledge, beyond any concepts and imaginations !

If you have really understood JK then tell me is there a observer? JK said about observe your self and change? I am assuming if you have being observing your self and life around and doing things the way they are being told .. you will STILL see the misery inside and outside the world.. so point I am trying to make is observation/attention cannot be seperated as they the activity of brain.. so that's why UG said he stumbled into the situation and reason being he saw that acquired intellect is really not the instrument and there is no other instrument hence there is nothing to understand.. this conversation is not with to condemn JK but just trying to point out certain things and if it make sense then accept or else leave it .. There is a video of UG in his elder years mocking how JK used to sit and talk. He is a bitter and despicable old man. The truth is that UG deceived himself in following JK and all the other gurus. They didn't deceive him. And that is the truth for all of us.
Possibly he may have stumbled into the light himself later on but then he goes on condemning all those who came before him who say the same things. A lot of it is quite despicable.
I believe most people find comfort in UG because of his cynical nature which reflects their own in this journey.
I still find that listening to him clears up a lot of the illusions.
@@nileshkhatri3909 People put it different ways. Hindu's called it false and true self. Buddha then said no, there is just the self (which is untrue), and the truth which is that there is no self.
The more you look into it the more it becomes clear all these people are referring to the same thing.
Infact UG puts it best in this video. Because of our brain's inclination of interpretation of the things we perceieve, NO OTHER teacher no matter how much they understand can guide you to the truth.
That doesn't make them wrong.
JK knew that all his efforts were futile. However, he put it clearly that, "You dont do something for it's result. The right thing must be done because it is the right thing to do".
UG could have decided to not speak either. He could have decided to not add to all the "Bullshit of other gurus". But he felt compelled to because of "basic courtesy" or whatever he called it. Because of this, he created a cult behind him. That is clear when you see these youtube channels calling him "greatest man ever" or whatever. He would in fcat be the first person to shit on these channels if he were alive lol.
Using the same logic, he could have remained silent as many yogis chose to, but he didn't. So whatever he says about the other gurus is really hypocracy if we look at it objectively.

that is true, but he is still part of the culture itself. he is like that because as he said he is bored, because he doesnt want to use violence to bring about a change. so he eats what is necesary and rejects the culture because he prefers to see it as the enemy, because there is no reason for him to fight. it ended up not being his problem in the end but like with his son dying there still was frustration there with the indian and american society, and he vaguely pointed towards china because he admired some of their ideas when the cultural value system rejects copying them. this is why the cultural value system fails, there was no war fought with the soviets, so no victory at all, only some economic sanctions, because of these as you can see on koreana jones kim jung un conspired with xi despite his fathers will stating explicitly not to trust china, because the people want north korea to go away while at the same time stating that its literally all the fault of kim that the people are starving, when it is only partially his fault. his father said that he cant have allies and has to reunite with south but its usa land, so thats not possible, so his only choice was to be used as a pawn to live a bit longer while china uses them in a disposable way.
Suryanarayan.. agreed that self consciousness is really extraordinary and it has created this world....but at that same time if you see with this great world we have to ALSO see the havoc on the planet we have created with various forms of life on planet is being distroyed and with other forms of life we are making of human species also difficult to survive on planet.. beautiful concepts we have come up .. they don't operate in life of people.. this just talk.. so however extraordinary this self consciousness may be it's worthless as it born out of fear and it has become pleasure moment now.. i don't know if I make myself my clear
Self consciousness is the beginning of all the misery which is in the world... how can you ignore this?
J Krishnamurti in his video with Bohm put it clearly. Thinking is useful, it is what let to technological evolution and modern medicine and what not. However, the false thinking in regard to the "self" is what is causing all the misery in the world. Misery due to self centred thinking. Nationalities. Religions. Me versus you.
Consciousness exists without a self... and that is healthy consciousness. That is all we must realise. Self-consciousness is untrue and false.
Sam Harris put it well scientifically as well. There is no section of the brain which can be attributed to "self" which controls all the other sections. It is just thoughts. Thoughts has made the idea of the thinker or self. And operating from that, we are causing great misery to ourselves and those around us.
He isn't saying nonsence, it's just that he has no knowledge about awareness. He is saying that there is no such thing as pernamence, but awareness is pernament- timeless and infinite. All he is concerned is biology of life, but life is not just about biology. It is way beyond the boundaries of physical phenomenon.

All of them have different words to describe the indescribable.. UG calls it life.. JK calls it Choiceless Awareness.. Hindus call it Brahman.. Buddhist call it Buddha mind or emptiness .. bla bla and so on! But these are mere words and just like the word sex is not an actual sex.. It’s irrelevant to discuss abt it to those who have not had it.. Those who had it need no discussion!

UG in a nutshell : we are organic beings
Knowledge of the content of self and knowledge of the content of the world has origins in memory as it appears. Dementia sufferers loose self awareness(knowledge of content of self) and knowledge of the content of the world. The first objects that were created by humans were simple tools to facilitate survival and may of been the first physical objects in the world to be ascribed an abstract mental designation and eventually verbal designation via patterned sounds and utterances.
