Goldlewis is *so* American, many people reacted to him being added with "Wow, finally an American in Guilty Gear!" even though there were already at least three Americans in Guilty Gear (Sol Badguy, Chipp Zanuff, and Johnny)
While's he's the Secretary of Absolute Defense, he particularly likes to specialize in the hunting and capturing of UMAs (cryptids) - Funny thing is, despite him carying around a captured creature that seems to be an alien, he actually does not believe in aliens and insists the creature is some kind of cryptid. He's dead-set on explaining any sightings of sci-fi like stuff as being caused by magic instead (which is a bit of a funny reversal of how American agents are usually portrayed- and makes sense in the world of GG where magic as replaced science as we know it)
Fun fact, that breakdown towards the end is 51 seconds long, which is GoldLewis's favorite number
He is absolutely the American that Japanese people think we are lmao. He's the US secretary of (absolute) defense, and he also collects cryptids as sort of a hobby. He'll blindly follow whoever is in office loyally, for better or worse, currently I'd say for the better cuz fictional President Colin Vernon is pretty damn based. He's a total badass but he also comes of like that cool sweet uncle, he can play nice even with his enemies. He's one of my favorite characters in general, and also one of my favorite things about him are his interactions with my ABSOLUTE favorite character Bridget! Bridgets story is mostly about her gender identity and she resolves to be her true self by the end, for her own sake rather than for anyone else, and she gets to that conclusion partially through a heart to heart with Goldlewis, and partially through a heart to heart with Ky too. Currently he doesn't have too much story other than that, he's a newcomer in Strive, but dang he's cool. I used to main him alongside Bridget but now I do Bridget/A.B.A, but I still like playing him sometimes and watching him in tournaments

I honestly wish I was half as cool as Goldlewis. I can never live up to the Japanese view of Americans if this is what they think.
