    I don't have a 3d printer for 2 reasons
    1 I have quite a bit of unpainted models
    2 the longer I wait, the better the printers will get (although I'm very tempted by this video)

    Thanks for the video! Have you used it to print some of the Ork models you’ve already printed with another printer? I’d be curious to see how this one compares printing the same model as a more expensive printer.

    Be good to see what you do in your 3D process. What puts me of is space and what seems a lot of faff n safety needed to use one.

    For those worried about the toxicity and smell of resin, there are resins that are low odor and made of a more friendly material. Just Google "non toxic 3d printer resin".

    • @dwarfy2k264
      @dwarfy2k264 3 месяца назад

      All resin needs PPE, low odor just means it's not stinky. All resin produces VoC's as does FDM.

    Can you make model comparisons between this and other entry level resin printers? Would love to see the differences and if it is worth going for more expensive entry level printers.

    Looking for an entry level resin printer and came upon his one, Googled it and found your review. VERY HELPFUL! I want one. Would love to see a direct comparison to models made with a higher end printer if you could manage it (gonna have a quick look through your other videos in case you've already done one) but otherwise.... Thank you for doing the video and sharing your opinions.

    Thanks for this video and your time, depending on what users want to print this might be to small but probably perfect for miniature printing. Apartment dwellers and the likes living in small quarters safety should be of concern. Great review !

    I do find it frustrating when Geeetech sends my 3D printer with missing or wrong parts. When I reach out for replacements, the process takes too long and sometimes they send the wrong parts again
    Geeetech should be the last option for 3D printer

    Just bite the bullet and buy a decent printer in my opinion ( any elegoo would be my suggestion). Decent printers are actually pretty cheap overall nowadays you can easily find one between 2-4 hundred whichsounds bad but is still way cheaper then it was years ago. Wash and cure goes spend 50 for uv cure station and use pickle jars for the wash. So yeah 300 would get you a pretty nice setup and last way longer then that will

    Ive veen using an Anycubic Photon Mono for two years now. Cost me 189 dollars (around 165 euro) at the time. From the looks of it, its a similar footprint to this one.
    Interesting to onow is that the successor to the Photon Mono is now available at around that same price, but is has a 4K screen.
    Does this one have a monochrome screen?

    • @bigtom6443
      @bigtom6443 11 месяцев назад +2

      Not sure if you ever got the answer but any source of UV light is good - the sun being a free, reliable source (unless you're in the UK).
      If you're after a really cheap solution, there are small UV curing stations for gel-based nail varnish. You'd need to rotate the model a few times but it's better than nothing

    How does it smell? That’s always my concern with resin printers.

  • @funguy398
    @funguy398 Год назад

    What about smell? Can you sleep in a same room with a working/idle printer with open windows? Price and dimensions are juicy tho

    • @ecyor0
      @ecyor0 Год назад +1

      Generally no - the smell *does* disperse relatively quickly with open windows but UV resin is ultimately a toxic chemical that needs to be treated as such.
      Basically, use the same logic you would use for aerosol spray paint. Would you set up a spray paint booth in your room next to your bed? I mean, it won't *kill* you but it's probably a bad idea.

      This one with a bottle of resin and a wash station is cheaper than the Leviathan box set.

      @@Enja_Near I did buy a PLA printer and so far I find it very beginner friendly compared to a resin printer. I may get a resin printer one day if it packs up. I do find the assembly process for the Geeetech challenging. Even with clear instructions, it takes over an hour and involves many small parts, making it easy to make errors
    Also, I do struggle to remove prints from the Geeetech rubbery-coated print bed. It sometimes breaks my prints or damages the bed when I try to release them. Shrotly, I will NEVER BUY a Geeetech again. I don't reccomend
