    This is the best colour variant of the Marinemaster in my opinion!

    Rob I took your advice and contacted exquisite time pieces and bought what I thought was a used watch . It came with all the stickers , tape and tags 🏷 on the watch . Never sized or worn for under 2K . This watch is beyond amazing 🤩. It arrived today and can’t believe the quality of this beauty .

    Have one of these out for delivery today. Will be waiting for me at my office when I return from vacation. Also ordered the Hexad bracelet to swap onto it. A little concerned about the girth but the comments stating that it wears smaller led me to take the plunge. Found a great deal.

    Great watch, its everything its cracked up to be. It was my grail, but i acheived it a year ago. Absolutely no regrets, I love it. Is it a cure for the watch obsession? Almost, maybe? Could've been?? I messed up Rob. I went into a Cartier boutique after getting some new sneakers yesterday and tried on the Santos. Wow😍 it fit so nice. I think I like it even better than the Omega Planet Ocean I slipped on the same day. The madness continues.

    I have had one for about a year now. Every time I wear it it feels special. It really is a great piece. I did swap the bracelet for a better aftermarket oyster style. I kept the original clasp and it makes it great for finding the best fit....great vid

    I’m thinking about buying another Seiko. I picked up a SPB 143 a few months back. It’s the first Seiko I’ve bought in years and I love . I’m thinking about waiting on those new GMT’s . I do like this a lot but 44 is just too big for me . Exquisite is a great dealer . I always enjoy my buying experience.

    I have this piece in my own collection, albeit in its JDM costume of reference # SBDX043. Mine runs +1.5spd when worn. I had lusted after an MM300 for the longest but always waffled back and forth on the expense because I also have a Spring Drive GMT MM600 (SBDB011). Then this Iriomote Island colorway dropped and I had to have it. 😊 As yourself and other respondants have noted the bracelet certainly isn't awesome for the pricepoint (easily cured via a Strapcode super engineer). It's definitely on the larger side but if it's Dimensions work with your wrist it's also one heck of a watch

    Getting close to Tudor prices. Still it's a nice diver. Pre owned price is worth getting if you want one, might even be able to get a few hundred off..

    • @Killua_Overwatch
      @Killua_Overwatch Год назад +10

      Tudor doesn’t have any soul though. Only reason I would even consider Tudor is for the nice bracelet. Doxa and Seiko are true dive watches.

    • @jonathanstoddard2081
      @jonathanstoddard2081 Год назад

    I’ve owned it twice now and that’s enough for me. I prefer a thinner watch nowadays. I’ve still got an skx009 and an skx031 and I wouldn’t mind a Willard but I think I’m done with the brand as I think they’re getting too pricey. Great vid rob 👍

    To be honest at this price I would stick with the citizen promaster BN0158-85X with eco drive movement though I’m not an expert in automatic watch movements. It’s much cheaper I got mine in a sale for 300$usd, but I doubt it would be the same now. It’s much thinner and really close in specs with the seiko, it’s a beast of a watch really. I don’t see that much value to the seiko compared to it really.

      @@tomdolan1071 I get your point. I saw it from an everyday diverwatch perspective, the seiko is a beautiful timepiece but not ideal in my opinion

    About 41 at the bezel though.

  • @Greenfig85
    @Greenfig85 Год назад +1

    Really nice looking watch but let's be honest, watchmakers are talking their consumers for a ride now. The prices are getting out of hand.
    I watched a watch reviewer a few days ago justify a quartz tuna costing 2k and his explanation was because it has sapphire. Are you kidding me? Lorus and Orient are owned by Seiko and have sapphire within their range. Do they add multiple 100's of dollars for a sapphire variant?
    These watch companies are treading a fine line.
    There is a reason why certain microbrands sell out within minutes.

    IMO über boring design and professionals use dive computers nowadays and that's coming from a colleague working in a professional dive team in a huge harbour where under water visibility is very low 😉 Anyway thanks for the review as always, great job 🙂
