@@marty3469 two rolls for what I built Marty. But I built mine before they had had an XL version. The Z axis is different on their XL version but two rolls should still work for you.
I found the Jds garage XL the other day super impressed and as soon as they have metric plans I'll order it. The cheap Michigan 40 amp from total tools I've been using does a good job up to 5mm plate.
@@vrrealimmersions8833 yeh I know right. It took me a month to build because I had to work it all out myself. Plus his amazon links are to amazon US which doesnt ship much to Australia. I had to copy the descriptions from his BOM and paste them in Amazon Australia to find stuff. Not everything was the same and took some research. Some things I bought through Amaxon Australia, ebay, some through jaycar. Be careful with lead times, especially for the shielded cable. It took weeks to arrive as did the z axis drive. I asked JDs garage if they would upgrade my plans to the XL as I had only just bought their small version weeks before the announcement of the XL version as I wanted the limit switch info. They said no i had to buy another set if plans. Also fyi, they won't send the THC over to Australia which sucks ass. Thanks for tuning in.
@@allangoodger969 Hey Allan, my plasma is a cigweld easy cut 35. Im only using it bacause I already had it. I tried it on a small cnc plasma cutter I made out of a laser engraver, one of my other videos. Seemed to work ok.
I have a crossfire with XL kit and thinking on building the JD XL table now. Cool video.
@@cutweldngrind thanks, just ask if you need more info.
I recently bought the XL table plans, metric version. Just wondering how much 3d print filament was used as I'm about to buy some rolls

They have metric plans.
@ClintWilcoxen I bought metric plans, but they didn't have an XL version till I built mine, they only had the toy size version when I bought plans.
G'day Mate. Video is looking good. I am just down the road from you (50min). Just wondering what plasma machine, you are planning on using? Unimig?

@SullysRodskustoms. I was looking at CIG but the sales dep did not want to talk to me about the conversion whereas Unimig were very helpful.
@@SullysRodskustoms. I have been using a Unimig Viper Cut30 MKII with a CNC torch(SCM80R) it seems to also work well.
Where did you get all your plates laser cut and how much were they to get cut and delivered?
