Thanks a lot for this video. I was hesitant to try this until I watched this. And that dragon looked awesome.
Thanks!
Lol I was looking for a translucent resin video yesterday, thanks a lot! 🤣
You’re welcome 😊
Great video , congrats 👏👏👏
Nice! I will definitely try this once I get a resin printer
Go for it!
Really cool video! I appreciate anyone documenting adding pigments to 3D print resin since I'm really curious about the process and the results.
As for the weird color change, certain kinds of alcohol ink pigments are sensitive to UV light and purples are unfortunately infamous for this, they're known for either fading away entirely or burning in to a darker color. It's probably the cause of the weird color shift in the resin.
that blue though............man its fire.....thanks for the shout out!
You can tint it after you print in clear. However, I am having an issue printing clear on the plate with articulated prints. Some light bleed perhaps.
Anyways, that green/blue shimmer affect looked very wicked! I was staying away from glitter but you pulled me in!
I suppose that works really well when you aren't using a large format printer. My Forge takes around 600g minimum just to cover it well enough to print.
they would be some sick glasses frames
Tons of stuff you can use it for.
Really awesome dragon. I'd sure like to try it out myself using tinted resins. Where did you find it? Great ideas for tinting clear resins. Thanks!
They're everywhere. Mainly cults3d.com
@@TheCreativeCollectorThanks! Very new to this game.
G'day m8.....this my first vid of yours ive seen and its bonza m8. All i can get is CMYK inks from my local Resin supplier "Monocure 3D" its a bit more expensive but its designed for Aussie climate and come in some awesome Resin Types Like... Tensile, Flex100, Tuff, and rapid for consumer. Then there is their specialised resin for the Dental industry. I mostly work on Parts for my Rc Trucks but have got into making various busts and figures for friends and fam. But my weak point is painting, ive some airbrush's (chinese knockoffs) a booth and paints but ive never done intricut painting before. Cheers from A M8 Downunder....p.s. ive subbed and liked thats all i can do as im on a disability Pension cant afford luxurys like patreon
For smoky black siraya tech what do you recommend for bottom exposure and normal exposure settings? Just looking for a starting point to calibrate
I would check with what Siraya has on their web site for recommendations. I've never used that particular resin.
@@TheCreativeCollector do you change your UV Power % on your mono X printer for any translucent resin?
Hot damn happy accident working perfectly!!! ❤
Alcohol colors fade far too quickly.
Haven't had that issue
