And you should have pulled the spark plugs out when trying to spend the motor over by hand because you could have a compression lock which is practically your motor locked up but if you take spark plugs out sometimes it'll free it up and allow your engine to spend over or another thing I've seen happen the flywheel will chip a tooth and the starter will jam it up
The simple fix for the axle shaft issue pulling out (because mine had the same) was I just simply put a tack weld between the gear and shaft to hold it together instead of relying on the c-clip to hold all of that weight. Also, longer cv's was unnecessary. I just bought some universal 6 lug cv axle spacers from some big brand company and ran those to push the cv's out. It's quite entertaining seeing someone have the same exact issues I had years ago lol
you got an open diff there my G a posi or limited slip both wheels would spin the same direction when it is up in the air. turning opposite directions means open diff
Pretty sure that sound was the pistons hitting the heads. When your bearings are wiped out you have so much play that the pistons are able to contact the head. I’ve seen it happen before. Time for an LS swap. I’d go with a simple rebuilt 6.0 with cam and heads.
Tim Harrison is right ya just need CV spacers they go in between the CV and front dif they come in different sizes with longer bolts or else you will be breaking axles from being over extended
I’m 100% no expert but I’ve put a couple vehicles in the water, if you would have taken all the spark plugs out at once then tried to start it, it would have kicked all the water out of the cylinders and you would have been Gucci
i am curious what do you guys do with all of your suspension parts that you change out and change? do you sell them? gift them to fellow people in need? im just curious because are the parts designed specifically for your lift or all trucks?
Uhhh I’ve got a 2004 Chevy with a rc 6 inch lift and I had to get spacers for the cv axels soo it wouldn’t so that also be carful with an actuator if you have to change it you can not get it dirt clean the area good uses a clean rack to stick it where it’s supposed to be I change 4 brand new one bc it was dirty
Yall need to get a Bubba rope or a yank em rope. The rubber band effect helps a bunch. A stock pick up with street tires would have gotten it out. So yall and that rope. No problem. I yanked my 3500 on 22 x 37 stuck to the frame out with a 1500 street tires.
Truth be told a chromoly shaft Dana 60 with a locker and hydro assist steering would be high on priority list so find a junkyard replacement engine to keep it running for now
Truck is killer dude I love it! Should put some long tubes on her if you didn’t already keep the x pipe duals with some 8” chrome tips axle dumped 😂 I’m about to get a 12” FTS put on my 2020 trail boss 6.2. Can’t wait keep it up man!
Dam. It prolly would have been fine if he pulled the plugs before ever trying to start it. It prolly hydro locked and all the pressure from trying to start it bent a valve or 2 or 8 then once it pushed the water out from that point the bent valves wouldn't move and everything got screwed after that. I wanna know how you have a ovs extended cab with no rust. I can't find one and been looking for a year now
damn i was really cheering for that small block when you got it back in the pond. was hoping it would come back and show that mud puddle whos boss before it gave out. regardless it died with its boots on, a respectable death that will earn it its place in automotive valhalla im sure. maybe im weird but i get attached to things, if its the original motor the truck was born with it and should die with it. i would rebuild it and do a few mods out of respect. go too crazy with power and you are going to start breaking a lot of things anyways.
What motor would yall like to see us drop in here? 👀
12 valve or lb7
LBZ duramax with 2 smoke stacks in the bed
383 stroker 🕺🏽
8.0 duramax killer call it a day
Everyone does a 12 valve🤦🏽♂️ …. Me totally “not” putting one I’m my crew cab 😬 ….a duramax would be nice 👌🏽
Stroke it! 383 would be a real good combo and you could add a shot of nitrous!
Why not 427 hell.
If you are going to stroke it ,go big 427 small block, not the biggest but goid combo.
Stroked is nice but I'd rather be blown SON !!!!I😂😂😂😂😂✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
427bbc or 454bbc. If you have the chingalay$ get the 496, 502, 572 or 632. The bigger, the better. You need a high revving torque monster!@@spankitout
Why was it still running? It’s a 350 boys that’s why. 454 would be sweet or go big and drop in the 572 or 632.
383 stroker would be badass or a good ole 454
It’s just an open differential upfront you are correct you do not want a limited slip or locking front. It’ll grenade it in a heartbeat.
What the diff up front I got one in the back no problems
its definitely an open diff.
They do make some adapters for the cv shafts. You could just get them. They bolt up to end of them to the front differential
350s are by far the toughest motor ever built lol . Turned bearings and still going
And you should have pulled the spark plugs out when trying to spend the motor over by hand because you could have a compression lock which is practically your motor locked up but if you take spark plugs out sometimes it'll free it up and allow your engine to spend over or another thing I've seen happen the flywheel will chip a tooth and the starter will jam it up
You mean spin over? I don’t think motors are capable of spending.

A friend of mine had a similar truck with a lift that actually had cv spacers in the kit
@@angiesmith9196 most of the spindle style lifts come with them such as thr Fabtech kits
Looking forward to seeing a engine teardown video.
what causes that bird chirping noise?
She was eating till she blew🤣
Now i don’t feel so bad about blowing up the transmission in my 96 the other day lol
I’m surprised lift didn’t come with cv spacers
It’s time for 383 stroker with a nice cam not too aggressive you have big tires you don’t wanna start breaking stuff.
Bro how the hell are y’all gonna swap that out at that height? You gotta document it. We need to know lol
Yup. That's why you are gonna need a bigger diff, bigger axles, bigger transfer case...etc . 😂
383 stroker dynode at 5 to 6 hundred horse 💯👍
572 next i aint gone lie this is easily becoming one of my fav channels
It looks like you might have a limited slip or open differential on the rear.
All that money put into a base model? Make it make sense 😄
Idk about obs but ik roundbody and cateyes cv axles are the same as nbs cv axles the 07-13 axles are just a little longer.
you got an open diff there my G a posi or limited slip both wheels would spin the same direction when it is up in the air. turning opposite directions means open diff
That was a real uh ohhh moment at about 8 minutes in going through that pond pretty epic though
Nice truck👍.. They make spacers for cv shafts for your truck, cheaper than having to replace with longer CV shafts.

You've never seen the piston hit the head due to wiped out.
Maybe piston hitting valves but not heads
keep it a chev engine forsure, 454 is cool but everyone does that, maybe an 8.1 gasser or even a duramax??? not sure i’ve seen one in an obs.
dang that is crazy! and i remember last video somebody said the motor didn't sound healthy, i guess they were right
I think they ran it low on oil, he said there was smoke coming out of dipstick.
Good ol 350.any other motor wouldn't have took all that
So if the 350 won't be missed. what engine are you going with now or next? 632ci?
Why didn’t the black one use the 4x4 to pull u out?
Need a Texas Speed 427 in that thing
Dirty South standards you gained a new sub
Perfect reason to build a 383
Exactly. Pretty much bolt in
6.2 with a manual 6 spd behind it. Do the throttle conversion
Nothing behind it would hold up. Lol
wondering if you're going to do more videos.
All u need is a couple CV spacers. Oh and my vote is 99-00 7.4l vortec big block.
Tim Harrison is right ya just need CV spacers they go in between the CV and front dif they come in different sizes with longer bolts or else you will be breaking axles from being over extended
Let me guess the shitvy's front Bluetooth drive shaft wouldn't connect. Bet you wish you had at least a limited slip in the rear lmao
“ My CV wasn’t connected ” 😂😂
I’m 100% no expert but I’ve put a couple vehicles in the water, if you would have taken all the spark plugs out at once then tried to start it, it would have kicked all the water out of the cylinders and you would have been Gucci
Beautiful truck man can't wait to see you try it again hopefully within the next few months
i am curious what do you guys do with all of your suspension parts that you change out and change? do you sell them? gift them to fellow people in need? im just curious because are the parts designed specifically for your lift or all trucks?

I think the black truck needs big chrome wheels but I'm guessing that's not buddy's style
Nope
Not
No
After watching this video bro I had to subscribe 😂 even after getting the engine locked the 5.3 still lived a little longer
You mean 5.7
Yall need to get a Bubba rope or a yank em rope. The rubber band effect helps a bunch. A stock pick up with street tires would have gotten it out. So yall and that rope. No problem. I yanked my 3500 on 22 x 37 stuck to the frame out with a 1500 street tires.
What brand lift kit is that, how much was it, I want it
Truth be told a chromoly shaft Dana 60 with a locker and hydro assist steering would be high on priority list so find a junkyard replacement engine to keep it running for now
7:56 I thought the video was buffering till I heard “uh oh”
You Give a better tire
Where that solid axle at?
That tiny pumpkin just scared and ready to blow any moment
That noice your hearing is a mix of things i think you starved it for oil you should put a 12v or a p pumped 24v in it you can adapt it to your trans
454 probably would be the easiest
Prolly water on top of the pistons. Pull the plugs turn the key, shoot the water out and put the plugs back in and bam it runs
We did in the video, the spun bearings still would barely let it turn
Where did you get the washer? I think that’s my problem too
Truck is killer dude I love it! Should put some long tubes on her if you didn’t already keep the x pipe duals with some 8” chrome tips axle dumped 😂 I’m about to get a 12” FTS put on my 2020 trail boss 6.2. Can’t wait keep it up man!
That’s such a pretty truck
did you regear it when you went to large tires
Yeah it has 5:13’s
Build it brother. Ground up. Crank everything. Build it to about 600 to 800 hp
I can't find one and been looking for a year now
Perhaps solid axle swap
Just throwing this out there, it's cheaper and better to get rid of the IFS and go straight axle
5.9 swap with a hood stack would be killer
Nd I was gonna say yall trying to kill that motor????
i need friends and weekends like this.
time to go LS!!!
Check transfer case switch
What tie rods r them ??
We built them
@@dirtysouthstandards that’s what I might do or might order kryptonite
Solid Front Axle FTW!!!!
Always pull your plugs out before trying to turn it over you could bust your pistons to pieces been there done that
What would that lift run ?
2wd trying to pull a stuck 4wd.. “I’m not stupid..”😂
You sure it’s not just hydrolocked?
What size lift is on it
1000hp Chevy motor
383 stroker or lsa
Ngl I’m not really into trucks like this jus my opinion but this one is really nice🥵🥵🥵 done right 💯
Time for a LS swap 👍🏿
It's a crank bearing! Same thing happened on my 97 305 vortec
Why are you playing music over that dope ass drone view I wanna hear the motor while I see the truck in a cinematic setting. No music tho
Nice time if you think you hydrolock something and put that much pressure on it with the plugs in you’ll bend a valve
Also bend rods, crack pistons, they dont like water.
Going to start watching the whole video before I put a comment did you ended up pulling out the spark plugs lmao
350 never dies 😂
Been lifted with 37s for a few years with my abused 220k 350. It’s about to go
What size lift kit?
20 inches total
If you put a diesel in it you should put stacks on it
6.0 with a 4l80e beefy transfer case and dana 60s
omg such a big nice truck with half ton running gear and a stock 350 i guess im used to whistling diesel cmon bud least go with 2500hd/496
6.0ls, 4l80e?
Dang man that sucks . Time for an LS7 !
I’d say that’s an open front diff
Atleast them 350s are easy to change out j got pretty good at then
beautiful truck bro
Same engine rebuilt with a cam and a holy sniper EFI
Don't forget the x-pipe 😉
12 valve swap?
where you make your money???? :)
P pumped 24v or a 12v Cummins
Buy this 406 I have put your vortec setup on it with a cam and itd be awesome.
damn i was really cheering for that small block when you got it back in the pond. was hoping it would come back and show that mud puddle whos boss before it gave out. regardless it died with its boots on, a respectable death that will earn it its place in automotive valhalla im sure.
maybe im weird but i get attached to things, if its the original motor the truck was born with it and should die with it. i would rebuild it and do a few mods out of respect. go too crazy with power and you are going to start breaking a lot of things anyways.
