Honestly I’m loving the hate on the 6.0!! People like you are the reason we can get these things so cheap!! So thank you! 😂. Any good diesel guy knows as long as a 6.0 is done right. They are just as reliable as the rest. I never pulled a valve cover on my 6.0 mud truck for 5 years!!
I daily a tuned 6.0. They are excellent! This is my second one. I tried the EcoBoost thing in between..... back to the 6.0.... I ran the SCT canned tunes on my old 6.0 and never had a single problem. I went custom tunes for my current truck.
lol sorry you watch a bunch of losers but there's plenty of channels like this one. You young folk don't have a clue what it means to be educated. Influencers ain't it.
as a 6.0 owner i wanna see more 6.0 content JH, these trucks are slept on and HATED for nothing. People just dont know what they are doing with them and dont take care of them. Lets see what you can really do with them from the basics to a full blown build man. COME ON JH!!!
Lovin this cheap mud build.. Something must people can actually do.. I know all about the market place finds.. when those good deals come up with have to jump on em..
not a ford guy but im a JH guy and your partner in crime ! nice to see some budget stuff being done , economey is shit i work 70 hours in a week still cant catch up , this kind of helps my motivation to be able to have some fun, thanks guys
Man it just felt right seeing the hood and the hood stack off the old mud truck on that truck. Instantly brought back memories to the first time I seen the old mud truck at the truck pulls at cowboys the old tug spot just burning the tires off. You’re killing it brother on the videos!
Love Justin he is the bigger version of George. brings great Energy to the table. Ill stop calling the Shop if you do daily vids for the month of may.. We love you JH Diesel
Some of the best times I've ever had was getting an old cheap decent running 4x4 truck, lifting and trimming the fenders wells, sticking some larger mud tires on it, and hitting the weekend mud event. You don't have to have a high-end high-dollar truck to have a good time. Having a truck that you can care less what happens to it is the best. lol.
I dont know nothing about welding a Diff, is that safe for road driving or just off road only. Always wondered about that, heard that it can blow it up driving on pavement.
Or, it wasn’t the IPR, turns out it needs 8 injectors, a ficm, nipple cups, oil cooler, high pressure pump, a stc fitting, and head gaskets and studs, but while the heads were off we noticed the cylinders were all worn, and the bed plate was leaking, so because the cab mounts were shot, we pulled the cab, and sent the block for machine work, and if your doing the block, mise well send the heads out, You know 6 liter crap, but once this is all fixed THEN it will be “bullet proof “ untill we find out that because it would not start to flush the cooling system first, as soon as we fired it up, the oil temps went through the allowable 12 degree delta, and needed the brand new cooler “back flushed” untill that proves useless, and we slap a third cooler in it, only to find that because we cranked it so long on low batteries we burnt the new ficm up, so now we’re buying a new ficm, and two new batteries., trust me, I love the 6.0 too, but you best have two things, or maybe three things, 1st a buddy with a tow truck or trailer, 2nd a complete set of tools, 3rd patience, oh and 4th deep pockets….
If u want some tractor tires for mud truck I have stock 89 f250 & I went to a tractor salvage yard got 4 rear tires & centers off farmall cub 8-24 measured 37” & cut center out then cut out center of some steal rims wielded them together. I think I had $300 in them. I wouldn’t drive down road but did excellent in mud. I live in Wisconsin so have a lot of tractor salvage yards idk how other states are.
You can get in the mud cheap! A good 4wd truck with a solid from axle, cheap small lift, weld the diffs, and some good tires on some cheap steel wheels can get you out there!
Man… my 03 6.0 was $500 ready for war lol. My 2012 was less than your truck in cad too. this is such a great example of what’s possible to get into bogging I love it! Hell ya!
i loved the power from those tuners on my 7.3l. but it tears up the transmission, and the damb thing wouldn't start in the cold. had to remove the tune just to start the truck. but with 100hp tune i smoked a new ram in a 22 year old truck with almost 300k on it.
Been waiting on this video! Bulletproofed 6.0's are some of the strongest diesels out there! Being a diesel mechanic myself I've put stage 1,2, and 3 kits on many 6.0's and I have rarely seen a bulletproof six-o come back to my shop! Nowadays there's alot of aftermarket kits specifically made for these engines. I always use apr headbolts new water pump that has the aluminum impeller instead of plastic factory crap! New egr tubes, oil pump, a 4 pin fcim , and
God damn Justin, the body of tbe truck is in decent shape. Try keeping it as close to that shape as possible! Look for a used turbo(go from twins to a decent sized single) or look for some coilovers with more travel. RTV/Plumbers Caulk the shit out of the OUTSIDE OF the front cover to keep the oil in lol
Hey Justin, I'd like to see this 6.0 last and taking it to truck pulls sounds like a bad idea. Also is there a better grill on any of your other 2000s 6.0 trucks the one on the new one looks faded and or paint it but maybe chrome.
That truck would easily sell for twice that up here in the northeast. The rockers would be completely gone and it would still fetch $12-14k all day long.
You can do more. Besides have the truck bed. With a crd jeep liberty. Do a front axle swap. So its not ifs. The jeeps under 5k all day anywhere. I bet you could do more for under 10k plus have a reliable 4x4 system. My dads had mine in mud upto the shift knob. An mines only the 3.7 v6 haha there 100% street legal side by sides lol
So i see you know how to hook a proper ground wire up dor what your welding. My question is do you unhook the battery? Personally i think its a waste of time.
The best way to get into mud bogging, go to your local bog, someone probably has an unfinished project that about ready, or knows a guy getting rid of something, and figure out what kinda bogs are around you, is it mud drags is it an obstacle course is it an open pit is it a trail ride, then build it to that
I love the 6.0 they sound the best to me, But every 6.0 i have looked at had issues unfortunately. went to go buy one and his piping kept blowing off so i walked away not looking for a project, looking for one i can jump in and drive it across the country.
Does the og shop truck come with the random assortment of stuff in the bed? I remember there being a Christmas hat in the back of it with a load of cans at cleetus and cars 2 years ago 😂😂

Keep making them mad lol. I’ve always been a fan of these. I wanna see an excursion next!
most people that talk bad have never really owned one. Got a 7.3 and a 6.0 but I'd prefer driving the 6.0 anyday
How about a video on what to look out for and how to identify proper mods on the 6.0.
I daily a tuned 6.0. They are excellent! This is my second one. I tried the EcoBoost thing in between..... back to the 6.0.... I ran the SCT canned tunes on my old 6.0 and never had a single problem. I went custom tunes for my current truck.
Lol it doesn't matter if a 6.0 is done right they will still blow 😂😂.nothing you can do to make it a good engine.
Big respect. One of the only youtubers making relatable content.

What a better way to end the video other than with JH smiling as the truck cranks but doesn't start.
We need to get back to important content like the amphibious Prius. The world needs information like that.
Summertime project. Lol
Is it not always summer in Florida?@@JHDieseland4X4

Im loving this style of video. Sharing the knowledge
Great video you should do more budget builds

JH and Justin, y'all rock! That giveaway truck is MINT! Glad that truck didn't start before y'all left. Peace

I’m confused 🤔. Wasn’t the CUCV the budget mud truck build ? I miss that ol square body 😔.
Well when you have money and need views etc etc things change 😂😂😂😂
That duamax so clean. Definitely bringing it to Texas
I dont know nothing about welding a Diff, is that safe for road driving or just off road only. Always wondered about that, heard that it can blow it up driving on pavement.
Any bets the title of the next video is “we blew up our budget mudtruck” 😂

Dang I need those running boards for my 07 250 6.0
I’m fired up for this one
Depending on the tune he put in it, I see head gaskets and studs in it's future
Awesome giveaway Hell ya Brother
Jh is in the running for my favorite channel
That sounds like the dreaded "6.0 Hot No Start" budd. Hope it doesn't end up being stand-pipes/dummy plugs or high pressure oil rail problems.
Those are stupid issues to fix! I can have stand pipes dummy plugs and injector orings done and back together in a couple hours
@@rayhendricks7379Nobody looks forward to having to do it. Never said it was hard to do
@@TrevorFrazier331 I don't mind it at all. I'd rather fuck with a 6.0 over a lb7 or lbz
The Ole 6.0 crank no start really makes it a 6.0 mud truck lol
Yo JH any recommendations for my Lb7 on turbo and injector set up?
This is AWESOME.
I knew I should of bought that truck when I seen it listed 🤦♂️
If you really dont want to trim the bumper you can shim it ahead like 3/4" of an inch on the stock bolts too.
Can't wait to see it in the mud.😊
20:42 😂😂 damn diesel should’ve bought a Chevy😂😂 that sucks

Does it have head studs and EGR delete?
What tune on the SCT??
Hey I have a 6.0 it’s tuned not sure what tune I use it for work and it’s only getting 11 mpg would it be because of the tune
SHOW US HOW TO SWAP IN A 460
6.0 on the Chevy rims looks so good
That truck would easily sell for twice that up here in the northeast. The rockers would be completely gone and it would still fetch $12-14k all day long.
Absolutely add materials into the budget. Saw blades, welding wire ect. Not everyday stuff people have laying around
That tree trimming truck looked sick 😂
When I saw the crank no start man it made me feel great. Instantly knew ipr. Good ol 6.0 haha
What all do you do to your 6.0’s?
Can you do a video on why you should be buy a 6.0 & why not
I filmed you spinning donuts didn’t even know it.
That batman smokescreen lawnmower event was awesome by the way.
Get done with the weekend, you going to slap an off the shelf lift Kit on it?
The way you said freebie reminds me of monster garage 😂
You’ll get that on them big jobs
The lack of rust on everything sure make me wish I lived somewhere down south without rust

Let me buy the old wheels and tires.

it's funny to me when he plugs his merch he shouts out cleet
He sells it through Cleets website!🤪
That Limo was banged up bad by Saturday! If it was the same one.
My 6.0 does the same shit if I try to crank it before the glow plug light goes off. Lil shot of starting fluid straightens it out
Had a 6.0 bulletproof studded and deleted Econoline van filled with tools and that thing was more beat on then i can say 😂but never left me down
6.0 or 7.3 for the mud?
The wheels and tires that are on it there fine
I love the 6.0 they sound the best to me, But every 6.0 i have looked at had issues unfortunately. went to go buy one and his piping kept blowing off so i walked away not looking for a project, looking for one i can jump in and drive it across the country.

Your buddy is a pretty decent welder
The price breakdown reminds me of “Monster Garage”
Didn’t see her on the tug pad so I’m guessing she kicked the bucket after you went hood deep in the main mud hole. She was definitely bogging good tho
I think you should eventually turn that limo into a giant lol. Muddin party wagon lol
Bd makes a tap shifter like for the 6.4 and 6.7
His math is blowing my mind! 🤯
I spent more than that getting my Powerstroke ready to go fishing 🤦🏻♂️
Gotta love proper Lyft!!
I love it!!!!!
U know I’m buying something. Such a sweet ride
That rust free shortbed would bring 3 grand up my way in Massachusetts. Lol I need one bad they all are rusted out up here

I need 40" ground hogs. Tires like this, but bigger. Somthing like 17", or 18" rims x 10"- 12" wide, or somthing similar.
do a 7.3 build
what is ipr ?
Hope those lug studs hold up lmao
