  • Palm oil monoculture farming has removed at least 14 million acres of rainforest in Borneo, uprooted thousands of families and killed over 50,000 orangutans.
While making this film in West Kalimantan (West Borneo), it was apparent that many individuals were not aware of the international usage of palm oil.
Borneo is the third largest island in the world and produces three-fourths of the global market’s palm oil (alongside Malaysia). Jobs have been created, but at what cost?
Please pay attention to the ingredients in your food and know where the ingredients are coming from. Here on TracingThought, my mission is to get A Deeper Understanding for all of us.

This production presents the reality of the situation in Kalimantan from the perspective of the indigenous people and illustrates quite clearly the choices between the current model that will continue to destroy the forests and with it the Dayak culture or the alternative of preserving the forests and one of the wisest , most beautiful cultures on the planet. Thanks Ash for your dedication, time and helping us in our hope that the second option will be achieved.

Thank you for producing such a moving scene of what is truly happening in front of our eyes! This hard work has only been viewed by thousands which make me feel not fair when unimportant content on RUclips got millions of people's attention. I put my high appreciation towards this mind-blowing project. Carry on, guys! Don't hold back!
