I would DEFINITELY recommend watching Avatar: The Last Airbender. The show is so smart and it appeals to adults and children alike. One of the voice actors, Mark Hamill (yes Mark Hamill is in the show) claimed that he thought the show “wasn’t going to take off because it’s too smart”. Beyond that, it is an amazing show that you should definitely watch

Hey rick I am huge fan of all your videos your content is awesome. I was born in the 80's all of the stuff your channel puts out is what I grew up on so your content is right up my alley and that's what keeps me watching. Keep up the great work man I look forward to keep watching and what you put out.
I don't know how I found your videos? I do love the Atari, NES and VHS Tapes of my childhood, so this channel is a treasure trove of nostalgia. Although I have never played many of the games/consoles you feature, I love your passion, and that makes the show enjoyable.
Already subscribed! I just found your channel last week and is my number one favorite channel! Well next to Rhett and Link hahaha but seriously I love your videos! I think we are the same age, 34. So yeah, keep bringing that nostalgic gold!
Super Mario Bros. 2 on NES. It holds the most memories for me. Even just a few chords of any song from that game still takes me back today. Keep up the wonderful work on these vids Rick 👍
My bro-in-law put me onto your channel, and I subscribed. Really enjoying this content! For nostalgic reasons, SMB3. The music and gameplay is absolutely iconic.
I was born in 80 and a lover of retro stuff. I love cartoons still and Avatar is soooo good and worthy of a watch. I am actually in the middle of watching the series again. Well worth it!!
Mario galaxy is my favorite Mario game of all time! It changed the way I thought a Mario game could be played! I lost my copy a while ago and have been waiting to find it for a good deal!
Awesome video Rick. Had no idea Myth Busters had value. I passed up a few different seasons at the goodwill near my house. I'll go back and check if they are still there. Thanks for the tip. Oh, and Super Mario World.
"y'all, look at all the cool stuff I found" very relatable lol. Love watching your videos, Retro! Hope you get to that 60k, you deserve it! My younger brother and I bonded over Mario Sunshine when it came out on the gamecube! We would play for hours and hours and then couldn't get enough of Mario Galaxy a couple years later :)
My all time favorite Mario game is Super Mario Bros 2. I was in 6th grade. It was the first NES game I actually passed with the help of my 2 friends, Leeland and Ramon. We used to play it almost every day after school. I really liked how you could pick between Mario, Luigi, The Princess, and Toad. Truly wonderful times.
My Favorite Mario game is Super Mario 3 just cuz of pure nostalgia purposes. I actually have never completed it despite hours of playing it when I was a kid. It was really cool seeing ur buddy's collection and how we try to make the most of our spaces. I'm definitely gonna do a Game Room video one day as well. They are so much fun! Keep up the great work.!
I am also a new subscriber I found out your channel through retro rivals they mention your name in there videos so I decided to check out your channel and I am glad I did.
My favorite Mario game is Mario RPG. As a kid with no walk through, strategy guide or internet. Everyone should give it a shot. Definitely an interesting game
My favortie Mario game? I am still player of NES super mario brothers. I have a retro nes system and play it daily!! Great videos! I am 50 years old and your content takes me back to the best days in time!!
Mario 64 was a game changer and probably my favorite. Always was a literal pain in the neck looking up at the screen while playing at Walmart before I could afford a N64.
I’d say Super Mario Bro’s for the Wii is one of my favorites because my wife and I love playing together, she’s not big into video games so playing that with her makes it a favorite of mine.
Super mario world. Just a heads up for serious resellers P90x beachbody etc... are all VERO items in Ebay that the company does pursue cases with. They sell quick and for good money but could get your account suspended potentially permanently. Not worth the risk if you are making a business of it but probably not a big deal if you flip the occasional item to fuel your collection.
Omg! I just found this channel today and watching recent retro game videos on this channel and his buddy chuck I know him!!! He goes to the same church and is my nephews pastor. I live in the same town as him. Chucks a great guy, we talk doctor who stuff all the time.
My Favorite game was Mario Cart for N64. Growing up my father sold houses. His office was in one of the model homes that was fully furnished. The kids room had an N64 and the only game was Mario Cart. I would visit my dad at work on Sundays and while he was busy with clients I would play the game. I remember a couple times people touring the house would walk in while I was playing and they would smile at me and I would wave and just keep playing.
My all time Favorite Mario game is "Drum Roll Please" SUPER MARIO BROS. 3!!!! I remember being 8 and watching The Wizard in the theater. When Corey & Haley said, "A new game," my brain was WHAT, then the Host saying, "SUPER MARIO BROS. 3," my eyes were glued to the screen and I was like, this is the coolest thing ever. My parents bought it for me and I would wake up in the morning before school play the game, hit pause, "Keep that TV on Mom," come home and play all night. Love Super Mario 3!!!
My favorite Mario Game is the Mario/Duck Hunt combo for the NES because it was the first video game I’ve ever played back in the 90’s and this got me into gaming.
My favorite is probably Mario 64 still. I am really loving Mario party games recently though and have always enjoyed kart racing. Just snagged a $30 gamecube bundle with a system, 2 controllers, 2 memory cards, and Mario kart double dash a few weeks ago and then today I grabbed a bundle of 9 loose gamecube games for $50 including Mario party 4, price charted out to $308 loose. :-D The deals are definitely out there, thanks for putting this content out Rick.
Rick were about the same age. Watch avatar. It’s one of the most profound writing I’ve ever watched. Watch it with the kiddo too. Lot of lessons taught. Love the content man!
Not sure if you realize it or not. But dvds can be shipped via Usps media mail which is very cheap. I’ve shipped 20+ pound boxes of vhs tapes for like 17.00 bucks. You really should use media mail if you don’t currently.
Favourite mario game had to be super Mario Bros 3 on the OG NES - soooo many memories. Loving your content across the pond. Keep it up Rick, you my guy! 👊
Gotta say, this may be my love of the gamecube talking, but I absolutely love Mario Sunshine. It's just the perfect mix of uniqueness and still the same. And the color! How can you not like it?
My favorite Mario game is Super Mario Galaxy! It was one of the first video games I played as a kid. I can play it over and over again and never get tired of it!
Favorite Mario game of all time is Super Mario land 2:6 Golden Coins! Thanks for the opportunity to win some great games! I’ve been a subscriber for a while now. Love to watch your thrift adventures!
My favorite Mario game is definitely Mario 64. Never gets old and my mom will never stop quoting it for all the times I woke her up in the 90s fighting bowser and to this day she can do a spot on “SO LONG KING BOWSER!” Impression. Also thanks for giving back to the community!
My favorite Mario game is actually my favorite game of all time. Super Mario World. I just adore everything about it from the graphics, to the gameplay all the way way to the music. I adore it so much
Super Mario World is my all time favorite. It reminds me so much of my childhood. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve played it. It’s definitely my go to Mario game.
My favorite Mario game is a controversial one, but Super Mario Sunshine definitely holds a special place in my heart! I've been playing Mario since smb1 at my grandparent's house but i fell out of the gaming world until i saw a speedrun of Mario Sunshine in 2015 and it blew my mind. I went straight to my local game store, bought me a copy and I've been playing and collecting games ever since!
I did a switch trade a little while back and managed to get a Wii and controllers, Ps2 and about 20 games and then the big one a Sega CDX. So there are some awesome trades in the Ozarks.
Mario RPG- was great to play a Mario game that was different. Glad I discovered your channel- love watching with my kids( thanks for keeping it family friendly)
Favorite Mario game is his first, Donkey Kong. I can remember playing for hours and as the game came out for different consoles I would always want to play and see the differences. Love the classics.
Personally, my favourite Mario game of all time is Super Mario Sunshine. I've loved the game from when I was a child and it is so nostalgic for me. I couldn't begin to tell you how happy I was that it was being re-released on the switch!
My favorite Mario game is Sunshine. Why? I grew up dealing with physical complications eating solid foods. Kids at school would call me names and on top of that I had autism (I was un aware at the time and assumed I was just defective). I went through therapy to help me become "normal" and the prize was a Gamecube with my game of choice being Super Mario Sunshine. That dumb mascot commercial alerted me on the game's release, lol! By the time I was able to digest solid foods, we went to K-Mart and got the console and game. It was more magical than taking a kid to Disney World/Land! When I popped in that game, I fell in love with everything about it! It's not only my favorite Mario game, it's my favorite game period! This game means so much to me! It reminds me of a time that it is possible to overcome your obstacles no matter how hard they may be. Sure, we may live with these complications for the rest of our lives, but we don't have to let them define or own us. Sorry for the long comment; I just wanted to share why this game means so much to me. God bless y'all!
My favourite mario game growing up was super Mario sunshine, i remember how much me and a friend struggeled to get through some pieces of the game. Gamecube was a great console.
My favorite Mario game of all time is Super Mario 3D World. My daughter and I beat it together on the Wii U and we are replaying it on the Switch. Tons of memories and good laughs.
Hey Retro, just a pro tip on shipping DVDs and VHS tapes through USPS. Look in to Media Mail if you haven't already. It's a great way to ship DVDs and Music CDs and Books without paying alot to ship them. May take a little longer to get to then but it's cheaper for you that's for sure. Love the videos Man👍
FAVOURITE MARIO GAME - For me Mario 64. The N64 was a game changer for me here in the UK. I had the SNES but to run around the Mario world in 3d was just something I had never seen before.
Super Mario 64. It marks a very peculiar time in Mario history - one of analysis, and one of change. Traditional Mario gameplay is reasonably straightforward - traverse the environment and use power ups to navigate to the right and complete the course. You press A, he jumps. This was Mario. It makes sense. 3D changes all that. First, we rethink Mario. We've got a controller with an analog stick. That means we've got 360 degrees. We start thinking about momentum. Friction. Inertia. We have different jumps. Long Jumps to cover horizontal distances. Triple Jumps to practice timing and momentum. Side Flips and Backflips for vertical height. Punches and Kicks to compensate for the difficulty of aiming Mario's jump onto a Goomba in 3D space. Oh, let's make him swim. Let's make him climb. Let's make him slide. It's all about movement, and slowly but surely, Mario comes to life. We rethink the terrain. Courses. Isolated spaces with stories, context, living breathing worlds. Nothing so bare or sterile as a numbered course! We're not talking about "2-1" or "5-3." We're talking about Whomp's Fortress, Tick Tock Clock, Rainbow Ride. We have battlefields filled with cannons and mountain traps. We have tranquil coves, with the watery crevasses filled with manta rays, eels, and clams. A snowman ruling over a kingdom of ice blocks, frozen lakes, and igloos. All wrapped in a beautiful hub world, with magical paintings acting as gateways. Go take a stroll in Peach's Castle and notice how much simply goes...unexplained. It's a mysterious, magical place, isn't it? We rethink game design. We answer questions like: How do we quickly familiarize the players with the terrain? (Answer: The first star of a course takes the longest, most scenic route.) How do we recontextualize powerups, now that Mario's moves are what combat is centered around? (Answer: We make the cap system oriented towards exploration and navigation.) How do we include Luigi? (Answer: We don't.) Reader of this comment, stop for a second. Take a moment and think about what I'm saying here. No Super Mushrooms. No flagpoles or end level markers. No Luigi. No Buzzy Beetles nor P-Wings nor Tanooki Suits nor Koopalings. This much deviation from the norm is a serious risk to Nintendo's flagship franchise, and it shows how strongly they believed that in 3D, you must think differently. This is hard stuff! Considering technological constraints, the pressure of delivering a Mario title for the new generation, and most importantly, answering questions about 3D game design that have never been tackled. Go back and look at the standard mid-90s, pre-SM64 3D platformer. You'll see how hard this stuff was to get right. They had to get it right, the first time. And they did. Super Mario 64 is rebirth. It's effortlessly capturing the soul and spirit of a franchise, and recontexualizing everything about it while leaving the familiarity intact. Nothing had come before like it, yet... it feels so Mario, doesn't it? It's not like the Marios before it, yet as any kid in 1996 would tell you, it feels perfectly like how a 3D Mario game should. And to me, it will always feel like pure magic, from start to finish.
My favorite Mario game is Mario 64. It was the first game I've ever played growing up. Bob-Omb Battlefield legit brings me back to being a 5 year old kid. Finally got 120 stars this last month.
My favorite Mario game has to be Mario Sports Mix on the Wii. I have so many memories of going to friends houses and playing that game for hours and hours. Dodgeball has to be the best sport aswell!
For me, my favorite Mario game will always be Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door. That game will never leave my collection no matter how much its worth on ebay.
my copy of super mario bros./duck hunt is in my NES 75% of the time so I guess that's my favorite...I see you have 4 of the 6 funtastic colors on the shelf..where are your smoke and jungle green N64's kept?
My favorite Mario game of all time is Super Mario World. I was so surprised that the world changed colors and themes when I found all the secret exits!
My favorite mario game of all time. Hmm, that's really tough. I'd have to go with the first one. It was the first console game I've ever played ( the first game I've ever played were pacman table top that was at a retailer called Woolworth, back in the 80's). If it wasn't for mario, things could have turned out very different or not. Guess we will never know. It was amazing and I had no idea 37 years later I would still enjoy collecting and playing video games. Keep up with the great content Rick! 👍

My favorite Mario Game is Mario 64. I still own the copy we got for X-mas back in the 90's.
(Answer: We don't.)
Reader of this comment, stop for a second.

I gotta go with Mario 3. Seeing Mario fly as a kid....blew my mind. Hands down my favorite. 🤯
The Venture Bros was such a good show!
