We stay there (Hilton Garden Inn) every time we can coming thru London - fantastic rooftop view (and nice rooftop restaurant, with outside seating option on nice calm days).
If your ATC sounds squelchy, I'd say look into a different antenna. When I'm at the airport I've got a clean and crisp response from both sides! I've got a Uniden Bearcat UBC125XLT and a Comet AB-1230 antenna.
I live close to LHR. Their tower rebroadcast on UHF is better to listen to then AM, which is used for the airside ops vehicles etc. The 125 is one of the best scanners for airband along with the AB1230
I listen to LiveATC in the US all the time to listen to aircraft coming in where I am picking up someone, and I believe it is delayed by about 10-15 seconds (or that’s just the lag time). Do you mean you cannot rebroadcast it on your feed?

the engines on the 380 sound so chilled out
flew in at 7am from Miami - really quick 7 hr20 hope on virgin, nice tailwind behind us but was very bumpy

It is illegal to rebroadcast ATC live in the UK.
