Superb skills and quality of work I really admire. To the commenter who said that the sign artist had painted over the gold and silver leaf; the paint the artist used is Flamboyant enamel which is like tinted varnish that is semi transparent and allows the underlying colour to reflect through the transparent top colour giving the effect of what custom painters call candy apple and gives a rich deep light reflective colour. My friend Paul Wright was a prolific fairground artist using airbrush and spray techniques to create his creative art, sadly Paul passed away but some of his artwork still lives on on fairground rides. I and another friend of mine still airbrush today after doing this type of art for many years, but like fairground art, and signwrighting there are not many people doing this type of hands on work these days, but it is good to see some younger people are now taking up this type of art and interpretating the art into there own styles but still using the traditional techniques.
Brilliant, I tried signwriting years ago during my time as a coal man where I lettered the lorries, and the odd shop front, but just basic lettering, shading etc, but I was cursed by not having an artistic eye, I could only do basic and plain lettering, but this is something else, top class signwriting, even in bricklaying you can tell if someone is artistic, their brickwork, pointing etc is immaculate, because they have the artist in them, and it shows in the work, BLACKPOOL PLEASURE BEACH,signwriter you're work is amazing.
Not only did they restore some of the artwork round the top boards, they also replaced the lamps in the amusement lights with warm white LED's, and earlier this year they replaced the lamps there above the horses with LEDs as well🙂
I have got a real admiration for the dying art that is now airbrushed and does not come close to the craftsmanship of the work you create!.respect and I never thought I would find other people interested in the talent and I would be interested to know more about how you became involved and if you are interested in teaching an apprentice?. I've always been interested in cartoons and graffiti but I'm wanting to be trained in the style of sign writing you are excellent at,respect from Huddersfield
Beutifull work,Ive watched this several times ,Ive been sign writing for 3 years now. I was wondering why you painted over the gilding. Does it provide a certain affect ? Or does it increase durability or lifespan? Thankyou love your work and would love to see more. Cheers, from America.
The paint applied over the leaf is called Flamboyant, it's slightly translucent. This allows the leaf to show through the finish. There's a bit more too it than that but I hope that explains the reason.
What the hells with the serial killer music? A lot of these videos have creepy slit my wrists in the desert music! WTF? Good work though.Beautful actually 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Wow... Máster 🎨👍
Where did you train?
Beautiful work but the paint seems to obliterate all the silver foil?
What was the point of the silver leaf if it was painted over.
The paint applied over the leaf is called Flamboyant, it's slightly translucent. This allows the leaf to show through the finish. There's a bit more too it than that but I hope that explains the reason.
Wats name of this letter design
What is the rod with the know on the end used for? Just balancing your hand?
Yes, also so the edge of your hand doesn't rest on your work. Artists use this too.
Please what is the name of the font
FAB !
অসাধারণ
Are those Handover 2112s?
What the hells with the serial killer music? A lot of these videos have creepy slit my wrists in the desert music! WTF? Good work though.Beautful actually 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Man got skills
Very nice
Why waste all the Gold and Silver leaf by brushing over it?
I AGREE However the paint could be transluscent to show off the silver underneath
Its a technique called Flamboyant painting....a very cool technique of painting transparent glazes over the aluminum leaf to make it "glow".
Super
Wow...
