Ende der 90er sind sie immer am 25./26. Dezember in der Batschkapp in Ffm aufgetreten. Da musste man sich nicht mit der buckligen Verwandtschaft treffen 😂👍 Das waren tolle Konzerte!

Was very popular in Germany, where the Bates are from. Pretty much everybody above 20 knows and likes that song there. Just recently saw a coverband that cover this cover... no kidding!

Ich war 22 oder 23 Jahre alt, als das Billie Jean Cover erschien. Zu dem Zeitpunkt war ich schon lange Fan von The Bates. 2nd Skin war das letzte Album, das ich als CD gekauft habe. Es gibt bis heute keine andere Band oder Einzelsänger, von der/dem ich mehr Alben besitze als von The Bates. Bei Wiki steht eine Live CD, die ich habe, als "Video-Album" drin. Zumindest vermute ich, dass der Live-Auftritt im Outpost in Göttingen damit gemeint ist. Des Weiteren besitze ich eine der wenigen CDs, die als Promotion an DJs von Rock-Diskotheken in der näheren Umgebung abgegeben wurde: Independent Love Song. Um es mit den Worten von Sheldon Cooper zu sagen: ich besitze die DNA von Zimbl! Der DJ meiner damaligen Stamm-Diskothek hatte mir die CD versprochen, da er wusste, dass ich ein The Bates Fan war. The Bates kannte man dort nur wegen des Billie Jean Covers. Der DJ sah The Bates nur als unbekannte Band an. Zu etwa derselben Zeit erhielt er auch eine CD von Fury in the Slaughterhouse. Die hat er für sich behalten :D

this is no question an INGENIOUS video! it's based on the classic horror movie "Psycho" from 1960 and was shot in original rebuildings of the Psycho house and Bates motel in the desert of the USA. it was surely more expensive and more elaborate than the original video...!!
