I think Strafe and Scorn appeared at the junkyard and when the Decepticons saw them they bailed. I think thay then joined Slug in fighting the TRF while Grimlock joined the other Autobots. During the battle with the TRF the other Dinobots where wounded and stayed underground and Grimlock stayed to defend them
My theory is that after the age extinction battle finished the dinobots went on their separate ways again but then Slug and Grimlock would meet again somehow inside a tunnel that they've dug. And then they were later on found by Kade and the autobots to follow them and hide at their place. So their could still be a chance that scorn and strafe could be hiding somewhere away from the TRF.
I belive straff and scorn whould have been anywhere where transformers are allowed like topspin while slug whould have been underground and the reason why grimlock did not join the final battle is because he could not be transported to the battle zone since his to big and the ship cant get to close
I think what happened was the Dino bots splitting up so it’s they avoid all being killed together and if on dies the others are in hiding avoiding the conflict. I think the reason why Scorn and Swoop were not seen was because one could fly and another could swim, giving them a huge advantage in hiding.I think why Slug was not seen were probably because he went to meet up with Scorn and Swoop and Slug gave the location to Grimlock, probably that’s why he was not seen.

I don’t like how they are shown as mostly serious ancient warriors in AOE but in TLK they are treated like jokes and pets. I wish they had a bigger role in the film as I loved how they looked and acted in AOE but TLK kind of ruined their characters
I dont like the fact that they are killed because they are freakin legendary warriors. And i don't know why but in my head the metal of the dinobots is more resistant than the other cybertronians, so being killed by humans and little drones is kinda meh to me. Also i love the design of scorn and grimlock, its a shame that grimlock is treated like a pet
I don’t think Grimlock’s friends were killed. I think they hid away because Optimus Prime left earth and they had no one to lead them therefore I think after the final battle, they went back to get the Dinobots

This theory is plausible, especially since the humans have gotten better at destroying cybertronians during the time of the last knight. If the theory is true it's quite depressing for the dinobots to gain their freedom from lockdown only for all of them but Grimlock to be killed.
I feel like the movies also had a perfect opportunity to have Grimlock do the classic G1 speech; he's still learning English. When he's speaking Cybertron, he's very well-spoken. When he speaks English, however? Classic Me Grimlock speech.
My own theory is that They just stayed in Their holes. Like, Prime said that They're free, so They didn't really had a reason to fight the Decepticons in the first place. Not only that, but I also don't like the idea of them dying.
I remember being bored in class and then Trans Theories pops up into my mind. Then I go onto docs and try to write my own WIIS. It was abt crowbar and how he survived: So when Crowbar jumps to get Ironhide and Ironhide pulls out a blaster on him, crowbar still has one last weapon of his on his back so he throws it and that hits Ironhide causing him to drop the gun and that was part of the story. I think after I finished it it turned out pretty well.
I know what happened to the dinobots. Scorn and strafe started a business and make dinosaur toys and made ss grimlock and ss grimlock. They're working on ss scorn, strafe, slug, slug, snarl, swoop, and sludge as we speak. Slug decided to change his life and not kill the remaing trf soldiers, but convince them that the autobots are good. He shared his passion of coffee making and the trf gave him money to jump start a coffee business which is very successful to this day. After tlk, grimlock became a musician and travels the world playing for everyone. He also takes care of the baby dinobots as the other dinobots left them with grimlock
After all these years I still wish we could've gotten a Transformers Prime treatment for the Dinobots, fully animated even if its just for a single arc in the series as the Cybertron games Prime was based on had them and they were great and fully characterized unlike the movies. I don't know if this is weird but I like their dinosaur and bot forms equally, it was a waste that they didn't give them action or speaking scenes outside of being monsterous animals.
I feel like they should have added at least grim in transformers prime beast wars, like, who wouldn't want to see a mech dragon and fire breathing mech dino throw hands? But then we got Robots in disguise grimlock.... So yeah, nvr happening
There was so much potential for the Dino bots but like most characters in the Michael bay universe, they weren’t able to live up to expectation because we needed to see humans run away instead of watching Dinobots and autobots fight
I think the two other Dinobots I just got seriously damage during the attack of TRF that makes them cannot take part into battle anymore but they didn’t actually die. So that Cade can settle down at the Junkyard and make the baby dinobots.
Or an easier explanation would be that they forgot about them half way and were limited with the budget which is much more plauseble when we talk about the bayverse. Bots just dissapear and thats it. The dinobots were shafted by these movies, so much missed potential
The fact the bay verse needs channels like these to fix their story just goes to show the horrible writing involved with them, bumblebee was without a doubt the best live action movie so far
My theory is scorn is under ground in stacis with his little dino strafe is flying and some times perched on the top of the little shed and sludge lays with his little dino bot
One thing that always confused me was how they had 4 of the 5 dinobots, grimlock, scorn, swoop/strafe and slug but not snarl (the one that turns into a stegosaurus) It seemed like a missed opportunity to have them turn into volcanicus. We have seen the constructicons combine, so it's not impossible. Either way, they did my boy snarl dirty
@Theorymus I think when they were in the junkyard Scorn,Strafe and Slug were underground in the tunnels and then afterwards when stalling the TRF they were behind Slug just the scene changed and then stayed back with Slug whilst Grimlock went to help in the town battle.

My theory: after the dinobots where attacked grimlock told them to to splitt up because then they would less likely be found strafe and scorn went together and grimlock and slug Went together they eventuelly found the junkyard and also found strafe and scorn Then cade made mini dinobots with them and because Perry was oldest he learned triks before topps and sharp t Strafe and scorn would be under ground because when they got attacked by the trf because they got damaged in a later fight and cade didnt have the parts to fix them so when grimlock and slug went to fight the trf they won but slug got orders to retreat because he was to damaged grimlock Went to help the others. Maybe Slug didn't die, and Grimlock just got to the town first? And then, maybe both of them didn't want to get on the ship to go to the last battle because they get reminded of all the years they where imprisoned on it, and they didn't want to go on it ever again. Dinobots are kinda stubborn like that.

I also have a theory, We all know that Grimlock is most likely alive judging by him in the junkyard in The Last Knight. Slug could’ve dug under ground because I believe in the Last Knight he appeared after coming from the ground. We saw In Age of Extinction he went in the water. Two other ideas are did shockwave kill jolt and is that why prime got angered when he saw shock. Also a vid what happened to each arcee sister since chromia went missing and Elita one was on the kill cards? Also what if ksi studied jolt cuz of his electro whips and guns in the movie. This theory is plausible, especially since the humans have gotten better at destroying cybertronians during the time of the last knight. If the theory is true it's quite depressing for the dinobots to gain their freedom from lockdown only for all of them but Grimlock to be killed.

I feel like the movies also had a perfect opportunity to have Grimlock do the classic G1 speech; he's still learning English. When he's speaking Cybertron, he's very well-spoken. When he speaks English, however? Classic Me Grimlock speech.

I remember being bored in class and then Trans Theories pops up into my mind. Then I go onto docs and try to write my own WIIS. It was abt crowbar and how he survived: So when Crowbar jumps to get Ironhide and Ironhide pulls out a blaster on him, crowbar still has one last weapon of his on his back so he throws it and that hits Ironhide causing him to drop the gun and that was part of the story. I think after I finished it it turned out pretty well.

I know what happened to the dinobots. Scorn and strafe started a business and make dinosaur toys and made ss grimlock and ss grimlock. They're working on ss scorn, strafe, slug, slug, snarl, swoop, and sludge as we speak. Slug decided to change his life and not kill the remaing trf soldiers, but convince them that the autobots are good. He shared his passion of coffee making and the trf gave him money to jump start a coffee business which is very successful to this day. After tlk, grimlock became a musician and travels the world playing for everyone. He also takes care of the baby dinobots as the other dinobots left them with grimlock
After all these years I still wish we could've gotten a Transformers Prime treatment for the Dinobots, fully animated even if its just for a single arc in the series as the Cybertron games Prime was based on had them and they were great and fully characterized unlike the movies.
I don't know if this is weird but I like their dinosaur and bot forms equally, it was a waste that they didn't give them action or speaking scenes outside of being monsterous animals.
I feel like they should have added at least grim in transformers prime beast wars, like, who wouldn't want to see a mech dragon and fire breathing mech dino throw hands? But then we got Robots in disguise grimlock.... So yeah, nvr happening

There was so much potential for the Dino bots but like most characters in the Michael bay universe, they weren’t able to live up to expectation because we needed to see humans run away instead of watching Dinobots and autobots fight

I think the two other Dinobots I just got seriously damage during the attack of TRF that makes them cannot take part into battle anymore but they didn’t actually die. So that Cade can settle down at the Junkyard and make the baby dinobots.

My theory is scorn is under ground in stacis with his little dino strafe is flying and some times perched on the top of the little shed and sludge lays with his little dino bot
One thing that always confused me was how they had 4 of the 5 dinobots, grimlock, scorn, swoop/strafe and slug but not snarl (the one that turns into a stegosaurus) It seemed like a missed opportunity to have them turn into volcanicus. We have seen the constructicons combine, so it's not impossible. Either way, they did my boy snarl dirty
You would need slog for that as well and the last time they did a combiner, devaster, it was taking up too much space in the storage

@Theorymus I think when they were in the junkyard Scorn,Strafe and Slug were underground in the tunnels and then afterwards when stalling the TRF they were behind Slug just the scene changed and then stayed back with Slug whilst Grimlock went to help in the town battle.

What happened to Mikaela’s mom in the first two movies? She talks about her dad but not her mom. Did she die? I always wondered what happened ever since I saw the movies. In ROTF, we see her dad, but we never saw her mom.
I'm glad someone gave credit to how deadly of a foe the Dinobots are cause in the lore The Dinobots were one of the strongest Transformers in Combat.
My theory: after the dinobots where attacked grimlock told them to to splitt up because then they would less likely be found strafe and scorn went together and grimlock and slug Went together they eventuelly found the junkyard and also found strafe and scorn
Then cade made mini dinobots with them and because Perry was oldest he learned triks before topps and sharp t
Strafe and scorn would be under ground because when they got attacked by the trf because they got damaged in a later fight and cade didnt have the parts to fix them so when grimlock and slug went to fight the trf they won but slug got orders to retreat because he was to damaged grimlock Went to help the others.

Maybe Slug didn't die, and Grimlock just got to the town first? And then, maybe both of them didn't want to get on the ship to go to the last battle because they get reminded of all the years they where imprisoned on it, and they didn't want to go on it ever again. Dinobots are kinda stubborn like that.

I also have a theory, We all know that Grimlock is most likely alive judging by him in the junkyard in The Last Knight. Slug could’ve dug under ground because I believe in the Last Knight he appeared after coming from the ground. We saw In Age of Extinction he went in the water. Strafe could even be alive because he can fly, he could’ve flown far far away from all the action! So, just my theory!

I know how he feels about that in my dream only I am the last deverstator since all the others are dead I am the last deverstator so I been found by the trf and I emediantly go identified as a deverstator and grimlock helped and he got attacked and I needed back up and they found out I'm a ultrabeast as well so the ultra guardians showed up and I space bridged out of there and yes I can open space bridges and ultra wormholes and grimlock is on oddsquard side and he needs help one of the trfs shot his tcog so he's stuck in dino mode so I found out that there’s one in the shadow Midas base where it’s in the shadow zone so I found it and he can transform again and I did hugged him
