- Join us on P&O Cruises Azura for our fully obstructed ocean view cabin tour in room E620, on deck 8.
Nestled behind one of P&O Azura's lifeboats, our obstructed cabins offer a unique perspective of the sea. We'll explore these cosy accommodations, where despite the obstruction, the space feels remarkably roomy and inviting. You'll be pleasantly surprised by the clever design that maximizes comfort and functionality.
In this video, we'll showcase the delightful features of our fully obstructed cabin, sharing our first hand experience of how they offer a perfect balance of comfort and affordability. Despite the obstruction, you'll find that these cabins still offer a charming view of the sea.
All cabins aboard the Azura come equipped with an array of amenities to enhance your cruising experience. From daily steward service to ensure your comfort, to essential facilities like TV, radio, and telephone. You'll find a hairdryer ready for use, along with a refrigerator to keep your beverages cool.
For added convenience, each cabin features a safe, tea/coffee making facilities, and air conditioning to ensure a comfortable environment no matter the weather. Whether you're catching up on work or simply need a place to unwind, the vanity/writing desk and chair provide the perfect spot.
Storage won't be an issue with ample wardrobe and drawer space available for your belongings. We were onboard P&O Azura for 14 nights and still had extra space!
You'll find the same style cabins on P&O Ventura, Grand Princess, Ruby Princess, Diamond Princess, Crown Princess, Sapphire Princess, Emerald Princess, Caribbean Princess, Pacific Adventure, Pacific Encounter (all Grand Class and Crown class).

After comming home yesterday after 2 weeks around Malta Italy Croatia Turkey and Greece never smelt any bad smells staff were great!!
Good to hear! Fingers crossed a temporary/intermittent issue! Yeah, we found some of the best staff on there, a happy ship 😍
First ship we cruised on lads, have to say like, the last one we cruised on, Ventura. It’s old and tired, and needs a refit. Thanks a lot lads.
We didn't find Azura too bad, some areas needed a little TLC or modernisation but overall she was clean and tidy, to be honest we think our room was better kept than when we were on Iona in the summer but that could just be down to staff as we noticed on Azura the staff were far more friendly, speaking to them they prefer this size ship over Iona or Arvia as they find them too big and too busy.
Hi guys great vlog of your cabin 😊there’s nothing like a bit of natural light , can’t wait to see all your adventures onboard Azura 😊
100% - it’s not a huge amount of light but it makes all the difference
What a nice little cabin 👍
We thought so too, perfect for us 😀
thanks guys
Our pleasure!
Love it 😂can be split into two twins if travelling with a friend… or perhaps just if you’re fighting with each other 😂
Hahahah and that 🤣
It would be perfect for me. I've found I rarely used the balcony in previous cruises but couldn't do without some natural light in the cabin.
Yeah agree, so nice to get some natural lol that, even if just a little it really makes a difference!
Hi guys, we often book a restricted balcony on deck 8, on The Britannia! It's definitely cheaper,didn't realise The Azura had restricted, thanks for your clip
Oh yeah, those balconies on Britannia are good as in most cases you’ve a cleave view over the lifeboat. 👍
@CruiseMonkeys
Enjoy yourselves boys,
Azura, has a special place in my heart ❤️, I feel it as soon as we board on her, welcoming, plus we did get married on there!!xx
@Sally-lg1vn awww how wonderful, Aurora is the same for us but because it was our first cruise. One think we noticed on Azura was how welcoming it felt and how happy the staff were, something that you get less of on the massive ships like Iona and Arvia.
@CruiseMonkeys
The staff on the Azura were exceptional regarding our wedding, you two will be next 😉 xx
Had P&O obstructed cabins that had a view full of the hull of the lifecraft and another where you only see the top of the lifecraft if you looked down, looking straight out, it was completely unobstructed. Chosing one is a bit simpler nowadays if you have the cabin number and find a video of it on the internet. 😊
Ah yeah, think Britannia had them where the obstruction is up to the railing but straight out above is clear. There’s a website out there now where they link to pictures and videos of rooms which is handy for things like that.
Yip there's a website and for the life of me I can't remember it's name! 🤣
@stephenm8818 here you go: www.cruisedeckplans.com/ships/index.php
@@CruiseMonkeys you are gentlemen and scholars ! ! Thank you.
Thank you for the review. Im booked in a standard ocean view cabin on Azura next May. My only gripe is why do P&O have those teeny tiny tv's?!
Oh fantastic, you wont be disappointed. Yeah, those TV's are so weird, hopefully during the next refit they will mound a large flat screen somewhere instead, it does make it seem so dated being so small.
Hi Guys was the hair dryer good Luke?
Dries the beard beautifully 🤣
That matress appears kinda thin…or is it the angle? I am use to Princess beds😂. Thx for the tour🙂🚢
Not on par vs princess for sure but still comfortable 👍
Can they assign obstructed view room without you already having chosen it? Presumably it’s cheaper?
It’s one of the grades you are able to book, so they are more expensive than an inside but cheaper than a standard ocean view. So you would need to choose this type or be lucky to receive a complimentary upgrade from inside. In our case this was the only room left as the cruise sold out once we booked.
Are ull still on azura?
No, we got home 2 weeks ago.
Looks like a room on Princess , Emerald etc
Yep yep, more or less the same class of ship, very very similar
Shower curtain is a big no no for me.
Lots of people dislike them - thankfully they seem to be a thing of the past on new ships! Not sure if we’ll see them replaced on these older ones unfortunately
