The legs stay in place while moving which is definitely a good sign. The arm motors have a surprisingly smooth movement to them for being mounted on top of a hexapod. The spiderpi and pro seem like they would be helpful robotic and programming platforms for a wide variety of applications. It's versatility grants many different programming opritunities outside of the preset apps.
It’s stride length seems very low, that will probably make it quite slow and inefficient. That could maybe be fixed with software but a lot of the time a low stride length means the motors are underpowered.

Is that the longest stride length it can manage? It is very short and short stride lengths make it slower and less efficient. Could it be fixed in software or is it a mechanical limitation?

Sounds like a good fit for the project I am planning. An automatic robot that can pick up, sort and drop off trash from my daughter's room. OpenCV can do the sorting. Robot can walk around and do the pickign up and dropping off. Hope Pi 4 is powerful enough for openCV sorting. Any idea if Pi4 can be easily replaced by Pi5 ?
