Thank you for your question. As far as the range finding capabilities, the Xero X1i can range large game animals up to 250 yards away. When it comes to setting up/sighting in the Xero X1i for your crossbow, sighting in the 20yard pin and inputting your crossbow speed will give you an automatic calibration up to 80yards. Those are great questions. Thanks for asking them. The Xero X1i ranges in the thick stuff well because of the "target lock" feature. Target Lock ensures you are getting consistent rangefinder returns from the target. Also, the Xero X1i is a pure optic, NOT camera based. So the low-light performance is extremely clear and crisp, and the ambient light sensor ensures the display does not overpower the visual scene.

Thank you for your question. The Xero X1i has two ways of calibrating, auto and electronic manual. Auto calibration is an easier process by entering in the bow speed, which will auto calibrate aim points out to 80 yards. If you want more/further aim points, I would recommend using the electronic manual calibration method, giving you absolute control of setting up all of your aim points. I hope this helps.

Because the scope that comes with crossbow knows exactly all the parameters of the bow and arrow so it has hardcoded points of impact and I just need to know the distance to choose one. How is this done with your scope at 100 yards for example? (by the way, at this price range the easy mode should have gong to a 100 yards - just a customer (and many more) observation)
How do you set it up for past 80 yards after calibrating out to 80? I can’t find any info as to getting past 80

so over 80 yards you can range but wont know where to aim? Thats smart lol
