There is more natural rap talent sat at that table than the entire top 50 in the charts. Wether these sit downs are written freestyles or not is irrelevant, the wordplay, cadences, flow, unique sound to each of their voices. Sure corporate halfwits and posers tried to make as much money as they could while keeping talented and superior artists sidelined....but that doesn't mean Hip Hop ever 'went' anywhere. It was born 'in the streets' and true hip hop lyricists never left (even those that became 'commercially successful', for the most part) The underground, grass roots has always been where 'hip hop' resides. It produces the most creative, lyrically dynamic, and prolific artists out there.
For real....your 'favorite rapper' is someone you just haven't heard of yet. These dudes, without a doubt, have the talent to become a 'commercially successful' group.....but never forget that there are a dozen younger, equally as talented youngsters developing their talent behind them.
