    I am speechless ! The serenity of these beautiful people is so intense ! I can only praise people like these who treasure mother earth and not destroy nature by the greed so many people are after ! If only we can learn from these people and once again enjoy the simple things in life, which after all are the most beautiful ! Thank you for sharing this video and may these genuine people and their families be blessed with health and happiness ! Money does not make you rich.....living the simple life and being one to one with mother nature is the wealth we should look for ! Sincere Thank you Lorraine Saliba 🥰🤗

    I always admire simple and honest living of tamilnadu rural people (definitely not educated and civilized had a bad experiences). Recently means 3 to 4 months ago I lost purse in bus at Tirupati busstand while getting down. After sometime I realized that my purse was missing and I went in search of bus as it was at alipiri to get my purse back. In the midway I got a call from one of them that they have my purse with them which has abt 3000 rs cash and ATM card, adhar etc. I went back to Tirupati bus stop but all 15 to 20 people were there. I collected my purse and I tried to hand some notes but they refused and said always careful about belongings. Such a honesty. You know what how they called me, they took it from my business card. I wish god keep his blessings on them to fulfill their life with health, happiness and prosperity.🙏

    So beautiful. I lived in a village in the early seventies. Kabistalam. I was a Peace Corps volunteer and love that area. I miss India very much I have been back a couple of times to visit my friends and family in the village. I received and learned more than I gave. The most beautiful experience of my entire life.The Indian people there are so ingenious and creative with wonderful ideas. No wasting of the any materials everything seems to be used. I wish, now that I am 70 years old that the Indian government would let me come back to live my final days. I will always have the most fond memories of The Beautiful People the whole area the culture and of course especially the wonderful food. I enjoyed the idlis, dosai, and sambar more than anything. Thank you for sharing this beautiful video. And peace and love to all of you. Signed, Joe Mamma.

    Good effort. To be honest, we come a long way from huts to modern buildings. From primitive architecture to modern architecture. Humans always try to build dwellings to better suited for their livelihood. I am a big fan of modern architecture and building methods. Today, there are so many options available to go green. This is one of them!

      1.What is Thannal team doing presently?
      a)Due to the coronavirus situation, it is not possible to have a workshop on campus. We will be starting with a free video course online - the Back Home series - through which you can learn about mud construction. This course contains all aspects needed to make a home - foundation, wall, roof, plasters and flooring.
      b)We are releasing videos one by one, at a pace of 2-3 videos in a month. You can see links in the respective section, work in progress. Kindly go to the page ‘online Video course’.
      c)To get updates of ‘Back Home series’ on your phone, if you are not part of our Whatsapp group, join Thannal news whatsapp channel through this link.
      d)We are trying to do the series in Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi, so that more common people can also understand about such construction methods. This is our main priority work till June 2021.
      e)We have started with an interview series ‘Natural builders around us’ - about other natural builders all over India studied from Thannal and continue studying by themselves. See updates in our RUclips channel playlist Natural builders around us , kindly wait until and follow the upcoming videos.

    my grandfather and his brothers lived in a small town in telangana, and they had a row of muc houses that were roofed with baked earthern tiles (the half cylindrical ones, which are alternately placed facing up and down), with a wooden fram under the tiles. They had sky lights in the roof, and enclosed couryards, with a well inside the courtyard...they must have been buil around 1930, and were still around in the 1980s......this style was common among common folks who were not really poor. the better off folks built with lime and had 'madras roofs' - bricks laid with lime mortar on strong wooden beams...

    Waw. I like the way they built the house. So simple and very earthly. This kind of lime morter we used when we were renovating our home back in 1994s. That time slab was also made up of mud, limestones, aloevera, cow urine and milk. Still that structure is very stable and even cool in summer days. But nowadays cement and iron replacing building materials. Good to see our ancient method still surviving and evolving slowly. I appreciate the builders of this house and associated people for this effort.

    Hello sir, this is great idea, very helpful in all the aspects, how can we find workers to construct new house like this.
    Santhosh, Hyderabad.

      Namaste, you can attend any of our workshop, like 2 day, 1 day or 10 day etc and teach your worker. You can read how we help others to build their home here thannal.com/build-a-natural-home/

    Lots of great ideas. Very nice. But the roof isn't going to work. Should have made a regular roof and covered that with leaves. The way it is...once the rain comes...its going to leak everywhere.

    • @ThannalNaturalHomes
      @ThannalNaturalHomes  4 года назад

      Namaste Graceji roof is coconut leaf, it will only last for 2 years then we have to change it. But in our case with out a leak our roof lasted for last three years and we have changed it with sandwich roof with bamboo, lime and terracotta secondhand manglore tiles you can see that video Earthbag reloaded here - ruclips.net/video/Wo-04BCUGUo/видео.html 🙏
