The live Scraps video from 96 might be a good one to check out, imo it's one of his best live performances ever and not at all like he plays the song live now
Hi Brian, I’d be on to other stuff than Muse too after so many reactions to Muse and your concert and what not. But I need to see your other stuff too to expand my horizon and guess what: Zappa seems to have had a mindset I can relate to. I am discovering him solely because of you and I literally quoted him when busking and someone was interested in my music asked me what I can do on guitar. I said I don’t really know what I’m doing in theoretical terms and the quote was „I have a basic understanding of the instrument and a lot of imagination.“. That really struck me when I heard him say that and I thought I’m stealing that :) I like this song too, buckethead is the kind of gateway I need to appreciate metal. Much like Muse. I didn’t know he has such straight forward, less complicated stuff. Pretty great. Best wishes
I can think of no higher praise than helping another player find Frank's music. Frank's music is vast and sometimes with modern hears hard to get on with. I really find after decades of listening to frank I really like 1968 to 1978 with many exceptions to be my sweet spot. Buckethead has so many records, I wish it was less. I've had people email hundreds of songs in order of preference and its just too much. If you have time, go back thru some of my older reactions of Buckethead videos and that might be a great place to start. Good luck on your musical adventure. Keep playing, Brian
