Hi Gert! This sounds like a very interesting scotch! I have actually never had any Glenlivet! I am so happy that you were able to track down a sample! It sounds like it was really enjoyable. My worry would be the cost because this Glenlivet 21 is about $370 before taxes so it would come close to $400 Canadian. I think for this price I'd grab the new Ardbeg Traigh Bhan Batch 5. It's very pricey and slightly higher but I have just gone in with a friend to buy a bottle because we are huge Ardbeg fans! I'd have to pass due to the price but it does sound lovely! I agree it's best not to add water with a 43% ABV. Mellow can be especially nice and this one sounds good. I enjoyed this review a lot! I'd definitely try the Glenlivet 21 if I was in a bar and they had it available!! Cheers!! 🙂

@@christinecamley it is a nice dram but would not chance it at that price.

Good review Gert! Yeah this is a good one, definitely a tasty dram but at that price point one always searches for more abv. Regardless though, it's always a good day when you get to drink a 21 year old whisky, cheers!
