Manikbabu knew French? At least he understood? Never aware about this. The feeling came, by listening, how he starts responding immediately after the question was completed, in French. There's a second interpreter, who apparently was interpreting from his English to French for the interviewer.

Correct. There was a French Interpreter for translating his English to french and probably Mr Ray was using a language translating device too.

@@soorajitmukherjee844 I doubt if there was any language translating device in 1983! Dictaphone was available that time. Automatic language translator is an invention of last decade or a little earlier, as far as I know.

My dear Bengali elite community, I just found out that the name Somnolin pill invented by Satyajit Ray's Professor Shonku is being used by several firms for business, they even put trade mark (TM) on it!!! Metagenics, PromoFarma, Bravacorp. I am furious to see this. All his inventions and discoveries are so unique, Miracurall, Annihilin and many more. Perhaps those were not protected by copyright. But still, isn't it theft and hence against the law? Is there anything we can do to report this shameless act? Where to send our complain to? Please tell me.
