Another amazing job! You made it look so easy! Now if only I could do that 😂 someday!
Thanks!! You can and we will be here to help if ya need it!👍🏼
FREAKING SICK!!!! Love it!!!
As a cigar smoker for almost 50 years, we NEVER stub out a cigar! It's not a cigarette. It will smell nasty. The cigar will go out on it's own. To make this a pipe ashtray just replace the metal center insert with a cork pipe knocker. Very nice ashtray. Well done.
Ladies and gentlemen, a 50 year cigar smoker! Thanks, Don! 🙏🙏
And this is beautiful
O.m.gee. gorgeous
Right tools, skillful hands... nice job!
Felicitări, o adevărată artă.
Îmi place foarte mult cum a ieșit. Calitate 100%.
Bravo.
merci beaucoup. nous apprécions vos aimables paroles. 🙏
I had no idea the circular center piece is called the striker, now I know!! Great work!!
Thanks so much!!👍🏼👍🏼
Where can we order the strikers?

I’m from IG! Such an inspiration!! Love your work!
Thank you soo much!! Appreciate you! We’ve got so much more to come! 👍🏼👍🏼
Wow, that turned out great well done 😍 Thanks for sharing :)
Thank you! You are most welcome! More to come stay tuned...😀
This is badass, just so you know, in cigar culture, the rule is, you don't ever snub out your cigar. You just put it down, let it turn off alone, since it has no accelerants. They usually turn off after 1-2 minutes. They may be warm up to 5 minutes in my experience, nonetheless it's frowned upon to just smush it in the ash tray. Now in pipe smoking they have a tamp that they'll tap the pipe to empty it.
Good to know! Thanks Creep Life 🙏
Would you mind sharing what sealant you used?
I found you on Instagram, glad to see you on RUclips. You do beautiful work. I love wood and resin and I’ve done quite a few pieces, only on table. I’m on youtube too
Thank you so much!!! I will definitely check you out!👍🏼
Beautiful Cigar tray. Because of this video. I invested in a circle guide kit. Thank you! But did you use the bit that came with it or replaced it with something else? Depth? Thank you!
My question is, how do you prevent a bunch of little bubbles from forming if you just pour it in like that? Or is there little tiny bubbles we can’t see in the video that are in fact there and no biggie? Also… what do you do to control the temp of the epoxy? I have never done anything yet but watched a lot of videos and always learning so this could be valuable info for me if I one day try something out. Thank you by the way, amazing video.
In order to minimize bubbles the room has to be between 70-80 degrees and ur heat gun or torch are your best friend! 👍🏼
So good!! What are you using for the stud to extinguish the cigars?
We use a standard knob lol for the Striker! 👍🏼🤙🏼
Wow great video. I’m starting a project today with a chunk of walnut I have. Want to coat it with epoxy but was wondering how it would take the heat from putting joints out. Any issues you see with the ash/cherry burns?
Of you use the Stryker in the middle to put out the joints u don’t have to worry bout the epoxy! The epoxy has a flame retardant mixed in ...
May I ask where you get your strikers?
Ive been looking everywhere, where did you get the center striker?
Looks fantastic! You mentioned a fire-retardant powder mixed with the sealer - what specifically did you use? The heat/flame issue is what has held me back from trying this in the past.
Its the powder form of a product called FX Flame Guard, they make a liquid version now which is much easier I bet.!
Did you stabilize the wood prior to the resin pour? Beautiful ash tray!
I was wondering my self the same thing
I love all of your work! I'm trying to get my small wood shop going, I follow alot of your stuff for inspiration. Where do you purchase your strikers from?
Get ur strikers form hobby lobby!
@@refinednatureofsantafe I'll definitely check that out! Thanks for taking the time to reply!
@@ABeardedPanda Always! :)
Awesome. What kind of sealer do you add the heat resistant powder to?
FX flame guard
Where do you get your strikers from? I can’t find them anywhere?
What do you use to hold the pieces of wood in place in your mold
Hot glue!!
That is fckng gorgeous!!!! Thanks for sharing brother.
You bet
Hey Nice job... wondering where i can buy the strikers you placed on your ashtrays?
We didn’t do anything special to those strikers! We got it from a thrift store.
What did you put inside the ashtrays like this gold metal, what is it called please? By the way that’s a great job
We got that piece of metal from a thrift store and thought it would make a cool decoration for putting out cigars!
What do you use for the striker
Where did you get the striker
Where did you source the striker for the bottom of the ashtray? Great video
If you ever the answer please let me know too
If you have an alternative would be great too
@@christiantardieu7561 Another video said they used a drawer pull handle from a hardware store. FWIW.
Also how much retardant powder do you add to the sealer, rough guess? I’ve made a few ashtrays and don’t want them to get burned. I did find a high heat sealer that I was going to try, but haven’t yet
Where did you get your hdpe mold materials?
Any plastics store should have em
what size is the ash tray
How can I get that mold?????
hello, what product do you use at the end of the video to clean everything, that clears de transparency of the resin ?
That’s another coating of table top epoxy!
Hey, do you mind sharing the fire retardant powder you used?
where did you get the striker from?
We found these at a consignment shop! You can really use any type of striker you'd like. :)
Do you have any of these ciga ash trays for sale?
I don’t at the moment but I do take custom requests
Lol that’s not a standing sander.
That’s your work stool.
Where do you buy your strikers?
Simple knobs! 👍🏼
I did it with the Woodglut plans.
$$$ how much
the center piece striker is really unnecessary, any premium cigar or remnant there of, that is left alone in an ashtray will, in short time, stop burning then be able to be discarded in any trash receptacle. Smashing a cigar to put it out only makes an unsightly mess.
pipe ashtray on the other hand, should always include a striker, but a striker made of a soft material, like cork or other soft wood. The pipe striker is to insure any and all ash is dislodged from the bowl of a pipe while preventing the pipe from being chipped from the tapping on the striker
u let a cigar burn out u not put it out 🙄
Oopsie!
