My tip…I don’t like to pack things that have one use…like a sink stop. What you can use is your dry bag. It’s water tight…put a few cup of water in it from the sink with a couple of item of clothing, seal it up, agitate it, squish it around, shake it, take clothes out wring them out, hang to dry. Empty the bag into the sink and hang it to dry wrong side out. It’ll dry way before your clothes do.

If you're going to be spending more than a week in the Amazon, especially the rainier Peruvian/Ecuadorian/Colombian part, bring a spray bottle with vinegar because things get moldy super easily in the rain forest! I work months at a time in the Ecuadorian Amazon and it's a life saver. I usually include a couple drops of eucalyptus and lavender essential oils so that not everything smells like vinegar 😂

Evergreen videos are smart. I find it hard to believe that 45L is enough. Having lived overseas for years at a time. Unless living in the same place it was always important to have a little extra space.

I love your videos man, I’ve been watching them for a few years now and I’ve finally booked my flights to Colombia! I’m wondering how you got on with your belongings while travelling? Can’t figure out whether to bring a small dslr or not? You seem to be happy having your valuables with you.
I got off the plane in Columbia and for the next 4 days toasted in the heat, so humid! Traveling up too Costa Rica it became mild, really odd. Luckily being from Canada the temperature swings summer and winter are normal just not in a day.

Quick question, the 40L bag gonna be your carry on luggage. But how about your day bag ? It’s too big to take as a personal item ? Or do you check the 40 L and take the day bag as a carry on ?
If you are trying to travel light packing cubes are a bad Idea. When I traveled to Nepal (5 months) weight was a priority for me and when I weighed my packing cubes and extra bags it came out to about 2 extra pounds which is a lot of weight especially for something that is not needed
I've actually been travelling since 2015 but been in lockdown for a while so now I watch your vids to remind how amazing travelling is (even the packing before the trip!). Keep up the great work dude! Love the vids
I always say, we guys are dead meat without our girls. The first aid kit is in Lindsey bag, right? Let's wait for her packing video to see all the remedies for gastric problems, headache, fever, pain killers, tweezers for pulling out teeth, electro cardiac machine, instruments to cut a foot and to sew an open chest..............etc.
South America should include Brazil. In fact, for most, Brazil is South America.Peru is Peru, Chili is chili Argentina is Argentina. But Brazil, that's South America..... Should check Mike Horn for preparing backpack for South America.... As for future travels.... Be prepared for big change.. that won't fit in a backpack....! If it does like it looks it will, you will have to do quarantine for every step you will want to do. The world is changing and if nobody react, freedom is dead.

If you ever make it there, I will be curious to see what you will make out of it. People made me scare of it when while in Dominican republic, all the locals were looking at my bike and asking me how it works. A few tourists who have been in Brazil told me that Brazilians will stole my bike in 5 minutes and figured out by themselves how it works.!! That added with the security reputation of the country, kept me away from it. Even Gabriel traveler hasn't been there because he doesn't trust the security. So, yeah, I'm curious to see you open the road for me or indeed, closed it. But you're ain't there yet !
I don't quite understand what you meant by "Brazil is South America", the whole continent is South America, so what's the difference? Anyway, I'm Colombian, so I can confirm that the weather really varies from one place to another, if you go to Bogotá it'll feel like cold autumn, the coast and plain land is like summer and they call Medellín eternal spring.
@@laurispinni4890 Weather varies with altitude. you have snow in Hawai ! Panama is the frontier between South and Central America. North America is the US and Canada..Central is from Panama to Mexico.
Actually it’s not a bench. It’s called caballito de totora and it’s an ancientnPeruvian indigenous boat, just used for decoration and a bench in his hotel i guess
