This is correct, however, not everyone is attempting to manipulate, love bomb or are able to be successfully charming and / or imitate my own personality back to me in the ways that many con artists are, and this is the part that is hard to adjust to-- at least for me. I get what you mean, but I wouldn't equate someone 'real ' with 'rough around the edges' .. I think there are people who are real, but also sophisticated. They are able to be authentic, but also are educated, cultured, able to flirt, acommunicate.. Sounds like you met someone who didn't have those other aspects. There are a lot of guys who don't wear masks, but also are completely 'undeveloped' and so not the best example of what authentic can be..
