Thank you so much for this tutorial! I do agree with other comments that it was a bit fast and not completely beginner friendly BUT putting it in .5x speed helped tremendously. Highly recommend this tutorial ❤ I just started really trying to learn how to crochet and only knew how to do chains and single crochets, thought I’d attempt a granny square but I watched two other “beginner” leftie tutorials and I kept making circles. Almost gave up out of immense frustration until I found this one and now I’m working on my second square!! Definitely will be watching other videos by you to learn more 🥰
Oh I am so glad, @NessiiBear! I made a new channel just for YOU! ✅ LEFTIES🌳 bit.ly/3UWNmoJ Please check it out, subscribe, and let me know what you think! Thank you!! 🌸👍🌺
I am so happy I came across your videos, I've been trying to learn how to crochet for years but it was tough being the only lefty in the family! your videos are very easy to follow...thank you!!
Loved! Thank you so much.. I wonder why my stuff looked funny.. I’m left handed I didn’t know it made a difference! My first work that I’m finally proud of!!!!!

Thank you very much! I had a lot of challenges when making the granny crochet. I observed the way everyone else does it but my beginner eyes couldn't pick up everything. First i used small hooks and tight tension, then I don't rotate/turn my work properly and the holes gets covered up from overlapping crochets. In this video, this is the only one where I got the advice to yank the yarn and my mind explodes upon realization. I didn't know that all this was happening and i thought i was quick to pick up on things

Hey Krista thank you for sharing like the idea of turning square ove to make it come out square never thought of doing that. I love hearing your birds in background very soothing.
I was a good granny square crocheter , so I thought , until I tried this technique. Wow what a difference it makes !!! Do you have a video to join all the granny squares ?.
@@SecretYarnery Thank-you. I will try for sure ! Love your color choices and floral designs. So glad to have found this channel. I am left handed , and taught myself from right handed videos. All the selections on your channel will keep me super busy!!! Thanks for sharing , us lefties are so appreciative . 😎🙏
For those that are having issues with the speed of the video, just adjust the playback speed on RUclips. It's a setting, and you can change it to move so slow it's painful to watch.
That's awesome, marissa wade! Also check out my updated tutorial for the granny square - you might like it better! ;) ruclips.net/video/1Nof-UItzzc/видео.html Thank you!! 🌸👍🌺
AS much as i tried and tried and tired i still can't get this to work right and i am left handed. I have a hard time reading instructions because i can't understand what the hell I am reading, I can't hear because i am deaf. So, trying to learn this is a pain in my butt...
the tutorial on slipping it through the “ring” in the first few minutes in nonexistent. I’m a complete beginner and have no idea what any of this means. Maybe have slow motion replays and more detailed instructions?
Thanks for your feedback, @krynnhanold6331! 🌴🍨✨ I have a beginner series that covers ALL the basics: bit.ly/3mTofkI Each topic is a separate video, so you can jump in to the exact technique you want to master. Let me know how you like it! 🌻🎀
I'm was looking through the comments to see if I can find the answer to this!! I'm using DK yarn, I'm wondering if thicker yarns or different colours show the stitches up with more definition 🤔 i like the ridged look

Wonderful instrustions
So glad you enjoyed it, Barbara Ray!! Thank you! 🌷🌺🌷
Hey Krista cute thank you
You are going waaaaay too fast. Slow down and pause, please!!!
Just slow down the video!
Thanks nice tutorial!
Why do some people chain 1 between gaps and you dont? Thanks
What size hook did you use
Hi, loretta kindsvater!! 5.0mm 🌻🌺🌼
Why do you turn your work after te rows? The middel is now on the wrong side isn’t it?
9:05 just making a time stamp for when i come back

You could slow down there this is for beginners. I don’t know half of what you’re speaking of
This is not working for me I have cried more that five times attempting this
SO sorry, Animal_Lover 123!! Granny squares are tricky. I will make another video in the future, and go really really slow. Hope that will help! 🌻🌺🌼
Thank you@@SecretYarnery
Why do you sometimes chain 3 and other times chain only 2?
Hi, Judith Johnson!! Chain 2 in corner spaces. Chain 3 to get your height and start a new row. (chain 3 = 1 double crochet). Hope that helps? xx
Thank you!

you also move way too fast.. for me to understand.. sorry
Thanks for your feedback, Laura Pruett! Sorry! 🌴🍨✨
@@SecretYarnery I just want to share that on RUclips you can go win to settings (the little wheel) and change the playback speed to slow it down.

It’s a good tutorial but I seem to be getting a circle not a square by 3:55
Hi, Virtue Frisk!! Have you got is sorted out yet? Corner have 6 double crochet into the SAME space. 🌻🌺🌼
Looking at your square, I see what looks like raised lines around each row which look so neat, but I don't get the same look, any ideas?
