Most of the wild animal footage was filmed at the San Diego Zoo. We were there all the time when I was a kid. The producers could have at least gotten the names of the animals correct. A Big Horn Sheep is not a goat and a Thompsons Gazelle is not a deer.
It’s ironic that the educational film came off like some half assed school assignment where you had to go way off topic to even get enough padding to make it an acceptable length
Vic Perrin is the narrator. His voice immediately put Star Trek Original series in mind (voice of Nomad/Metron...etc.). He did four episodes. He also did countless TV/Cartoon works.

@Dean F. You bet. Frankly, it's hard to find any movie or short that doesn't have an entry these days. Busy Bodies has 5 entries. The first is from 1928. Then there is the Laurel & Hardy short from 1933. The Busy Bodies shown here is from 1969, and the latest is from 2012. IMDb is pretty much packed to the rafters with useless information.
I'm trying so hard to figure out what this is supposed to be teaching anyone. it's like something you'd show an alien that comes from a planet where nothing moves.
anybody else notice how in every single one of these educational shorts the kids are always drinking milk? I mean Big Dairy truly had a moooonopoly back then, huh?
@@shuttittuppitt9355 well that's part of what I meant, they really don't. okay, their thighs are very short. but if you look at the skeleton you'll see they have nice long shins and long feet, like any regular bird.
Oh dear, the short maker decided to make the whole thing about his depressing ass trip to the zoo. At least we have our riffers to comfort us through this hellscape. Lol, I swear people misunderstand and project things on cats. I don't think they feel contempt or indifference. they might find humans bizarre but we kind of are.😹
No, they don't feel contempt or indifference. They have no ability to imagine what other creatures are thinking or feeling (including other cats). Other creatures are just things to them.

I'm not so sure about this exercise thing guys. The tortoise, you've shown, can live up to 200 years. Their slow movements are half the reason for their longevity. So maybe Rifftrax and exercise are killing us. Save yourself people.. sit down !

Thanks for the insights! Been way too long since I've been able to visit the SD Zoo and -Wild Animal Park- Safari Park.
Yeah, I was about to say "That's not a goat, it's a sheep!"
Yes, nothing says "busy bodies" like a sleeping cat.
Here's a couple of reels of random stock footage. I want an educational short on my desk by Friday. GO!
It’s ironic that the educational film came off like some half assed school assignment where you had to go way off topic to even get enough padding to make it an acceptable length
You can pinpoint the moment the people who made this short figured out they didn't have enough material.
2:10?

Gosh he was in a hundred episodes of Gunsmoke
I wonder if Sarek's wife on TNG was named after him?

"Busy Bodies" the story of my mother and her friends during the neighbors' divorce.

Literally if anything is happening at all in the neighborhood my dad is rubbernecking. XD
Well, I can't say I was terribly impressed by the stock footage parade, but my cat was enthralled.
Well worth it, then

busy bodies eat the right kind of food and get plenty of exercise and sleep, getting boys ready for Vietnam.
Vic Perrin, the narrator on The Outer Limits and the voice of Nomad on Star Trek.
getting him was probably the biggest expense in the budget of this thing
Guess he had some overdue bills to pay.

OMG, a Richard Scarry reference 😉😆😁
IMDb gives this 2.6 out of 10 stars. Seems a little high, much like the producer of this short must have been when he thought of it.

I'm trying so hard to figure out what this is supposed to be teaching anyone. it's like something you'd show an alien that comes from a planet where nothing moves.
So, just like all other rifftrax shorts
It's teaching kids to exercise.
People used to call my mother a busybody, but this wasn't what they meant.
Still, what I thought this short might be about.
Your mom went to college.
we know, everybody knows her. Biblically
Today we call that a Karen.
WE ALL SLEPT WITH YOUR MOM.
THERE.
Stock footage of animals. Someone was thinking like Ed Wood…
That, or they blew the budget on filming the kids and had to pad things out somehow.
My life will never be the same after seeing this. I shall drink water immediately
Don't forget your catnaps!
Oh boy, I think I watched this as a kid. Getting old.

What a wonderful cure for insomnia 😇
Oh sure, stay in motion at all times outside and you're a busy body. Do it too much in the house and it's a hyperactivity disorder.
Oh, darn. I thought it said Busty Bodies.
Sorry this wasn't a Russ Meyer flick. 🤭
