Absolutely awesome as usual! Love the details on the figures and it’s so cool how the Kenner and Mattel figures feel pretty good together. I’d love to see you do more novel color repaints, especially the Dilophosaurus from the original book. That’d look so cool!
Who here thinks it would be cool if Biosyn created a more scientifically accurate T-Rex with the red & black color scheme of the T-Rex shown in this video to appear in Jurassic World Dominion especially since Biosyn seems to be opting more towards scientifically accurate dinosaurs anyway, and there hasn’t been a new T-Rex skin in the Jurassic Movies since the Lost World Jurassic Park technically, it would be cool to have a new skin for the T-Rex to appear in the movie, plus Blue has her baby “Beta” in the movie, it would be neat if Rexy had a partner herself, potentially a Biosyn Male Trex that has this red & black color scheme, which would be pretty cool.
I feel the frustration of doing the same pattern on multiple figures. I'm going through my boxes of figures to repaint and ship to a couple of RUclipsr buddies. I have so far done 12 Nublar Rexes (some 1993, some 2015, and one 2022 variant) and 7 93 Nublar Velociraptors. I am currenlty working on 5 1997 Pteranodons.
I love the color scheme with the red Rex from the original Jurassic Park novel version and I wished that Mattel did the new Jurassic Park red Rex eyes that light green eyes
Now you just need to make a bull version of the red Rex..... I'm still trying to find juvenile Rex's. They are hard to find here in Germany. I want to do a family unit of Brown "1993", Green, and Red Rex's. A Bull, Doe and a few baby/juvenile Rex's. I think the best thing would be to sculpt a new head for the bull and an articulated baby/juvenile and 3D print them then make molds and cast them. A bit daunting of a project but I think it will be worth it in the end. And the baby would be more movie accurate in size then the Kenner juvenile was.
The paint job is tip notch, but you really should have re-sculpted the top of the big Rex's neck to have more curvature like what the original red rex or the Stan Winston maquette had. Mattel made their rex necks too thin. Its only just now with Dominion's upcoming Thrash & Devour T. Rex that they finally fixed the issue. As for reshaping the older ones, I'd recommend using Sculpy, or possibly Silicon. I used latex calk, but there are health hazards, and it creases under pressure, so I'll do a silicon-based calk next time. Anyway, Sculpy is probably the less risky option.
It really is a shame how the kenner red rex doesn't have any specific pattern to it. as someone who semi-frequently will reskin models in games, i went to make one of the kenner red rex pattern, only to find there was no specific dead set pattern for the black spots, really just the eye socket and front of the snout. i believe i actually used some of your videos as reference when doing it, along with getting some of the proper proportions down like the long and skinny snout, skinny neck and arm positions.

Hey man, I always love your repaints and they help me with my own Jurassic repaints. Any chance you could paint a bigger Dino like a Rex or the new giga in like a royal or teal blue? I think it would look cool with the neon colors with the rule of cool of course!
Any tips on repainting the original JP 1993 human figures? Mine are yellowed and missing a ton of paint and I’d like to repaint them back to their former glory and display them on the wall.
The juvenile looks like the green underbelly might need to be desaturated a bit, it seems far to bright for the scheme there, while the adult seems to get the look from the feathering of the airbrush
