I got to watch one of the dress rehersals, before the main event. They did an amazing job! Would love to have the songs out to listen to! I still hear a couple of them in my head, every now and then!
Hi, I ve just watched this from the UK, and that was absolutely brilliant. What a fantastic show. Love the flypast at the end. Congratulations to all involved. The songs were amazing, and i wish i had been there at the event to witness this important Anniversary. Never was a railway, more needed, more realised, or more toiled over to build, than....The Trans Continental Railroad.... I found the show to be both joyous and moving, and made me realise, that so many of those that built the railroad have often not got the recognition they deserve, and how much it transformed America. Im definately coming to the U.S to see it for myself. Is the Music going to be available on CD etc, id love a copy. Well done....
Folks, would you please post the names of the cast members for this production? I was fortunate to attend several performances during the Spike150 celebration and these people did an awesome job with this show. The only unfortunate thing about the video is that it doesn't convey just how large the crowd was a Promontory during the peak of the proceedings. Thousands of people were there to celebrate this day and well they should. This was a seminal moment in American History and the forward progress of this nation accelerated like a rocket from that day forward. Just over 30 years after the last spike was driven, Orville & Wilbur were flying at Kitty Hawk. One hundred years and two months hence, Neil and Buzz were walking on the moon.
There are 5 "As One" Music Tracks on the spike150.org website: spike150.org/resources/ So glad that the performance was recorded and shared. This was an INCREDIBLE performance to see live! I would love to see it again!!
I was in that children choir, so I might be able to help! It's actually not one choir, they brought together a bunch of independent choirs and (I think) school choirs from around the state. The choir I was from was cache children's choir. (Sorry for answering this four years late, I know you might not care anymore)
Fabulous!
Being in this performance was truly one of the best experiences of my life, and I am so happy that I have this resource to watch it.

I finally found a recording of the performance!
Do we have credit for the children's choir in the background? They also did an awesome job.
