It's really a nice device, but I struggle with the battery life. Especially when playing more demanding systems like NDS, N64 or GBA, I can literally see how the battery percentage falls every minute. What sucks the battery even more is wifi. It definitely helps though if you activate wifi power saving in the settings. But overall battery life is quite poor with this device unfortunately. I haven't measured exact figures yet, but my feeling is that it's really bad. I think I can easily exhaust a full battery within an hour if I play a demanding game with high brightness and wifi. What experiences do you have with battery life?
I haven't experienced that with the battery. In fact, to take this video and the game testing video, I continuously used it for 3 hours or more, and still, it had some life left. I'm guessing you got a faulty battery, unfortunately. As always, demanding games will definitely drain the battery, but it won't die within less than 1 hour. This is from my experience.
@@bigretrostudio Ok thanks. I will make some further measurements of the battery life the next days and weeks, and then I'll see if this is really a defect (I guess replacing the battery should be easy in case it's really faulty).
@Thunderbird1337 I had experienced a sudden drain in the battery of my old miyoo mini v2 and I assumed it was a faulty battery. I opened it up and realized the battery was loose and not placed correctly in contact how it's actually supposed to be kept, and that mainly happened because it fell down couple of times on the couch. So that can also be another reason to check before you change the battery.
@@Thunderbird1337 Hi, did You find a solution for this battery drian? Mine RGB30 alsow has this battery life problem and i can't fix this. It last me for about 1,5-2h when im gaming not demanding systems like GBA or SNES. For example my Miyoo Mini v3 last me about 5-6h of gameplay.
@@bigretrostudio I already tried to compare and to me, rgb30 looks like it has higher resolution. But I cannot feel how smooth it is in the videos. Since you have experienced both, which one do you think can run games more smoothly? Especially the ds games like mario kart?
Dude how do you activate the press/tap function for the stylus? I can move it around but no matter what i press i can't seem to actually use it .. and the first game i tried to play needed me to 😔
Im going to love this device. Nice choice of gamelist tho. I bet mariokart DS was everyones favorite ;)
I think so too! You will enjoy 😀
A touchscreen and 6 face buttons will make this the perfect retro console.
💯
If only this Handheld had a Touchscreen. 😥
Exactly! I wish the same.
great video thanks. maybe consider 40 must play dreamcast and n64
I'll make one soon!
Thank you, I needed this one!
🙂👍🏻
Man, the NDS was so good!
I agree 🙂
Just bought one, I’m sure they’ll announce a new model with a touch screen soon just to spite me
Awesome review..thank you
Thanks for watching!
Rgb30 is amazing handheld
I agree 😊
Also Metroid Prime Pinball.

This console's performance in terms of graphics and fps is better than rg35xx H i guess. Am I right?
Compare my gameplay testing videos and find out.

@@SwiftJustice thanks dude. I can't believe I didn't try that. You legend.
Yoo, sorry for the late reply. I was traveling! I guess you already got the answer :)
@bigretrostudio all good man I figured you'd get around to it when you were back anyway. 😁
40
Yes 40.
@@bigretrostudiohi I could not find Mario kart on my rgb30 do you know why?
@valentinocarullo8406 you can put it yourself.
The R36s has these games...for half the price
That's great 👍🏻 but I like this form factor 😀
R36s uses old cpu RK3326 not RK3566, 3.5 "display, but it is still a good budget handheld.
How to contact you? I need your advice
