Dude all of Paul's pokemon should have been fainted by now since most of his pokemon sustain damage from Skarmory's Spikes and the damage from Barry's Pokemon
Nah ursaring definitely should’ve went down after the close combat or after the high jump kick & if he switched into Magmortar it would’ve fainted to one hit from another Barry throughout
@@nicholasmcneil4203 i agree with that Berry did much damage to Pauls pokemon the hydro cannon should have killed magmorta and the close combat ursaring
The way I see it there’s 2 reasons Paul got the sweep. The 1st is that Barry constantly hyped up the speed training he did with his team. From there we can just assume Barry neglected his Attack/Defense training. The 2nd is from a writing standpoint. By making Paul’s team bulldoze through another of Ash’s rivals, it adds to the tension for their eventual rematch.
THAT EMPOLEON GOT SIZZLED BY THAT THUNDER!!!
He is just a jerk.

Its just 1 layer of spikes so 12% each time he switches
