I am an African American 'Egungun' priest living in the United States (Las Vegas, NV), so of course after seeing the title and listening to the music, I have to say I love it! I will be listening to more! Adupe, Olusanya Ifalola/Maurice Ottey
Alaafia Baba, I too am an Egungun priest (Detroit) and the title caught my attention also. I have to check this artist out more and the beautiful vibrations.Odabo, be well. Owolabi aboyade/
I was just thinking the other day if there is an Isese community in Las Vegas, since it's not a typical/ traditional place of migration for our people. Glad to here you are there. ❤
@@elywananda I don't know about your mind to be honest, algorithm trikes once in a lucky rare while as far as I am concerned but it definitely did striked this one time 😅
I saw the title "Egungun" and the clip still, and OK I'll be honest, I'm like "wait, is there an Asian word the same as the Yoruba one?" I listened out of curiosity, and I'm stunned. How do they capture so well that feeling of the evening band in a Nigerian hotel in the 80s? Wow, this really took me back. What talent these two have to capture such a unique feeling. And Salin's drumming is remarkably in the pocket with the polyrhythms!
This music is a five-star meal at the most pristine restaurant that only a couple locals know about, remote in some jungle. An entire snack, entree, dinner, and desert 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Don't know how I ended up here but glad I did...From Trinidad & Tobago, based in North Carolina, USA and this is perfectly soothing during my already long day.
I feel so many different cultures in this. It gives Brazilian, African American Jazz, etc! This is spectacular. Grateful this came on my for you page. Adding her to my playlist.
Love everything about this beautiful music that touches your soul! The drummer tells the story through her playing as do the other musicians. It all fits - rhythm, melody come together organically through divine intervention - a gift to all of us! Thank you! I have to play along with this beautiful song!
This was great. I couldn't help but think that there will forever be sand all over the hardware. Leave it to fate to be in the middle of a perfect take and have your Phone slide around on the snare. Excellent example of complexity on a minimalist trapset.
RUclips recommended this to me after it recommended Infectious Jelqing, which is just the most opposite vibe to this you could ever imagine. I don't understand the algorithm, but it understands me in a way I don't understand myself. Google the band I mentioned and then try and figure out how that happened. This is fantastic music

African-American? I guarantee your parents were not African at all. Stop it.

Nice but I would like to see who’s playing the other instruments, is it them and they don’t have video?

Around the 2min mark the drummer looks back then smiles. That smile was 4 me. Carry on x4 :)
My God this is good. The horn section has a distinct Afrika 70/ Egypt 80 sound.
