When they were trying to get the movie greenlit, they all had to go and give performances of the songs. Obviously, Hugh Jack man's name and singing voice were big draws for that.
However, just shortly before the meeting, Hugh needed to have a small skin cancer removed from his nose, and was told by the doctor he needed to not sing, otherwise he might damage his stitches.
So the plan then became for everyone to go to the meeting, and for the parts where Hugh would otherwise be singing, he was to pantomime while someone else provided the vocals.
Then, when this song was playing, Hugh got so caught in the feeling of the music, he started singing anyway. He did a great job of the song, and you can really feel the weight of the emotion that pushed him to sing, despite the risks.
By the end of the performance, though he felt elated, blood had started trickling from his nose, as he had indeed ruptured some of the stitches in his nose, and needed to get them re-sutured.
    Music really is powerful, sometimes

It really is a breath of fresh air to see someone take their reaction channel seriously, and give intelligent, eye opening, mature, and realistic feedback on a beautiful piece of film and music.
I just came from a channel reacting to the same video and I have no idea how people find it entertaining to watch these idiots. All they did was talk over the entire video and speak out of their ass because they weren't paying attention. It's disrespectful!
But you sir did a great job and have earned a sub! I hope to see you do more musical reactions, if you haven't checked out Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe in Les Miserables, I'd have to suggest, "The confrontation" beautiful piece. Great work again!

It may seem strange for you to see Hugh in this role but for those that don't know, he actually started his career in theatre and television before getting the role in Xmen. He basically just got back to his roots in the film. The film has the best soundtrack from a musical ever. The story of course didn't tell the true story of PT Barnum but it is still a great film.

Just about to watch the reaction. It wouldn’t let me share the link for the video you were supposed to react to :/
It’s meant to be this one
The Greatest Showman | “From Now On” with Hugh Jackman | 20th Century Fox
You don’t have to redo it but if you want to react to it that’s ok. It’s a really cool performance to get the movie green lit. The video starts off with the director and Hugh jackman talking.

I love the music from The Greatest Showman! You really should react to Dan Vasc's covers of Never Enough and A Million Dreams. He does an EPIC job on them, especially A Million Dreams. Please 🙏 do reactions to them, and any other Dan Vasc songs; the man is a brilliant singer!

Ahhh the one performance from this movie should absolutely be the Keala Settle's "This is me". The official mv is good, BUT the one to watch is either a) Live in Grahan Norton show, or b) the rehersal workshop session, where they are still trying to get the movie green light. That is truly one of the best things RUclips has to offer to a music enthusiast. Please, please watch it sometimes!
