42:41 I pretty sure it's a reference to liability by lorde, it played in the special episode about Jules in the very first scene where the scenes from season one were reflecting in her eye. I'm pretty sure they played the full song which is really rare and i knew its gonna be important. The first verse goes "Baby really hurt me, crying in the taxi He don't wanna know me Says he made the big mistake of dancing in my storm Says it was poison So I guess I'll go home Into the arms of the girl that I love The only love I haven't screwed up She's so hard to please, but she's a forest fire I do my best to meet her demands, play at romance We slow dance in the living room But all that a stranger would see Is one girl swaying alone, stroking her cheek"
I feel like someone is going to get into a car accident this season. From Nate and Cassie speeding in the first ep and the flash back to Cal story when he and his girlfriend was playing around while driving and then Cal speeding in this ep, it just feels like a whole bunch of foreshadowing.
Not gonna lie, I was getting a little worried because I thought episodes 2 & 3 were a little lackluster compared to episode 1. But this episode restored my faith🙌
i was so mad that elliot suggested alcohol knowing rue couldnt drink and then they put the alcohol next to rue and got mad when an addict did addict things and to just drop her on the side of the road like wow lol

For all the people saying Euphoria glorifies drug use the overall visuals make look beautiful but affects they are showing of the drug use is terrifying every time I see Rue high she looks so out of it and numb but also still in pain and it makes my heart twinge. Also the light that keeps shining on her face keeps making me think of "don't go into the light"/death
the scene where cassie n lexi are arguing the stage scene isnt actually real its just like that thing in the other episode where she says she sometimes pretends her life isnt real and its just a show
Interesting take but I don’t think so. I think she is litteraly writing the play based off of every toxic and traumatic person/situations around her. She used the dialogue between her and Cassie to see which girl could play Cassie the best. Lexi is definitely gonna expose so many people in her play and it will be either a very chaotic second to last episode (ep 7) ór a big cliffhanger final episode (ep 8). Thats my take on it :) We’ll see what happens!!
@@maddy3109 im sure the play is acc based on her life but the way the bedroom and stage scene had snappy back n forth cuts n lexi wasn't sounding interested in the argument im pretty sure it was just a visual of how she was disconnected as a way of coping w the argument, i don't think those auditions were actually real
Favorite characters are Fezco and Cassie, phenomenal acting on her part this season. Also I’m starting to enjoy Cal’s story, after that meltdown no clue where his character arc is going but I’m definitely intrigued. Love y’all’s commentary and discussions before and after. Look forward to seeing more of it.
So, when Cal got that phone call about those tests, I thought it was Derek talking about HIV/AIDS at first because it was at its peak at that time. Turned out to be Marsha, BUT, I kind of think we see current Cal with past Derek is because Derek may have passed away during the HIV/AIDS epidemic. He was obviously super comfortable in the gay bar, and took initiative on going there, the dance, and the kiss. So, I think he probably went on living freely gay, possibly contracted it, and passed away. Hence Derek not being the first person he called in this situation, even though he was clearly thinking of him. Even just how attached he was to the last place he had memories of him at, kissed his stool, and recreated their moment. Or, maybe he’s on he left his house and went to Derek’s place to confess his unwavering love for him after 20+ years, but…super think Derek is dead, and Cal finally mourned him that night.
If we don't start getting more "FEXI" (Fez and Lexi) im going to lose my shit. im over Rues drugged out love triangle, and im for sure over cassies bipolar ass .
Well, unfortunately, I think we won't getting much more. That all the interaction was created to "wake up" Lexi's character, and update and show her motivation and characterization for this season. Maybe for the third season.
The detail with the scene from the window when we see Rue dancing alone in her room tripping that she is dancing with her father reminded me of a similar scene from the Haunting of Hill House when Nell dances alone like she holds someone and we learn afterwards that she was hallucinating dancing with her dead husband...It's also the show that has one of the main characters as heavy drug addict and lots of family dramas and explorations of thematic of grief and trauma in relation to the addiction only explored through horror, so I've perceived this scene of Rue dancing as a little nod to another great show!
That redrawn animation scene is Snow White & this episode did pick up the tension for the next half. The last episode was chill to me. Cassie was drinking away her feelings which I can relate to when I feel sad but not for a boy
Lmao I love how iykyk Cal's storyline is at this point. I've been on the other side of these kids of interactions (as in the younger one) and lemme tell you I don't know how the fuck these older, closeted, suburban type guys with families keep their lives together while doing this shit on the down low. I never expected a show to be this raw about it tho.
Fun fact! The reason why Kat & Ethan's relationship is going nowhere is because they couldn't work together on set. Kat didn't like the way they were going with her character so they decided to take away her screen time. Kind of sucks! I wish they would give her a different story line though.
my favorite characters are for sure fezco and lexi. fezco is so sweet and he really cares about rue he’s also just funny. lexi stays unproblematic and she deserves better.
Watching you guys reacting to this episode - I paused when they're in the car - I realized Elliot might had it all planned out! I don't know why but I feel like he wanted Rue to drink after doing drugs and have Jules find out about Rue not staying clean.
The season so far has such beautiful aesthetics and cinematography and of course the music, but can they keep up an entire season and possibly more based on just those things? It feels like a great music video peppered with dialogue. I hate the Elliot / Jules storyline. Someone mentioned it in the comments below but I also feel like Elliot has ulterior motives. He's played both Rue and Jules and come between them for some reason. I'd hate to think it was all because he just wanted to hook up with either one. I hope the writer(s) don't make it just about that. All in all, it was an emotional episode at some parts, Zendaya's flash back with her dad... that was a tear jerker. Oh and subscribed...
@@paulaluzuriaga9416 too many cuts and flash backs, I can’t tell if it’s meant to stick with the chaotic theme or it’s a terrible artistic mistake. Brilliant and chaotic
also a bunch of people noticed the third child in the family picture but they just like haven't addressed it yet so I wonder how that will hopefully inevitably come up because it seems like the blowups can't get crazier and then they do
My fav is clearly Fez, like he's so gentle, so calm, weirdly responsible and mature considering the shit he does for a living, he's respectfull with everyone, he cares for Ash and considering how Ash turned out from being in survival mode all his life with their grandma, Fez surely have some hardcore trauma too and he's still the kindest, least problematic of them all. I mean, he doesn't live in the same "world" as them, he's not really a teenager or not exactly allowed to be, so he doesn't see things the same way the other does, so that's maybe why he seems so detached from bullshit. Anyways i love him a lot.

ALSO he gave nate the beating he deserved (sorry not sorry). i love lexi because she’s so cute and innocent (although i’m kinda worried about where her character arc is going) and as for rue, well i’m just really attached to her because i empathise with what she’s going through, having an addiction is honestly just tragic.
Naw it’s fuck rue at the moment.
42:41 I pretty sure it's a reference to liability by lorde, it played in the special episode about Jules in the very first scene where the scenes from season one were reflecting in her eye. I'm pretty sure they played the full song which is really rare and i knew its gonna be important. The first verse goes "Baby really hurt me, crying in the taxi
He don't wanna know me
Says he made the big mistake of dancing in my storm
Says it was poison
So I guess I'll go home
Into the arms of the girl that I love
The only love I haven't screwed up
She's so hard to please, but she's a forest fire
I do my best to meet her demands, play at romance
We slow dance in the living room
But all that a stranger would see
Is one girl swaying alone, stroking her cheek"
42:36 fun fact that’s Labrinth the artist who came up with the soundtrack
I feel like someone is going to get into a car accident this season. From Nate and Cassie speeding in the first ep and the flash back to Cal story when he and his girlfriend was playing around while driving and then Cal speeding in this ep, it just feels like a whole bunch of foreshadowing.
i have a feeling it will be kat and ethan because of the shot at the end with them in the car.
Not gonna lie, I was getting a little worried because I thought episodes 2 & 3 were a little lackluster compared to episode 1. But this episode restored my faith🙌
Same this episode for sure was the best one so far in the whole show
I think this episode was little all over the place and confusing imo. I feel like episode 1 is the best for me but overall the show is stll great.
i was so mad that elliot suggested alcohol knowing rue couldnt drink and then they put the alcohol next to rue and got mad when an addict did addict things and to just drop her on the side of the road like wow lol
CAL HAD ME DYING😭😭😭
i love your reactions guys! so much better than most other youtubers who can barely hole my attention for twenty minutes- you guys have me for the whole duration of the video! i really love your reactions, they always feel so genuine. absolutely love this channel, can't wait for another euphoria reaction next week.
For all the people saying Euphoria glorifies drug use the overall visuals make look beautiful but affects they are showing of the drug use is terrifying every time I see Rue high she looks so out of it and numb but also still in pain and it makes my heart twinge. Also the light that keeps shining on her face keeps making me think of "don't go into the light"/death
the scene where cassie n lexi are arguing the stage scene isnt actually real its just like that thing in the other episode where she says she sometimes pretends her life isnt real and its just a show
Yes that was what I was thinking too but I haven’t seen anyone say it
Interesting take but I don’t think so.
@@ben-mn8dp Interesting! That does sound believable too! We’ll see what happens 😊
this episode was absolutely mad!! great reaction cannot wait for the next video!
I really enjoyed watching your reactions! The scene where she’s at her funeral was insane
I watch every reaction video, you guys have a super neat dynamic:)
same i love watching these
8:04 the movie it's called Ghost
Lmfao at Zuff 37:47
“…….He can 🤷 “
That’s the funniest shit I’ve seen on this channel yet
I'm really enjoying yall reactions
I CACKLED when you all started saying nelson omg HAHAHHAA I’ll never stop calling mouse “nelson” from now on
Favorite characters are Fezco and Cassie, phenomenal acting on her part this season. Also I’m starting to enjoy Cal’s story, after that meltdown no clue where his character arc is going but I’m definitely intrigued. Love y’all’s commentary and discussions before and after. Look forward to seeing more of it.
The look on you Gentlemen's faces during the Cal scene at the end is priceless. Total shock just like me.
lexi after the pool scene: write that down!✍🏼
So, when Cal got that phone call about those tests, I thought it was Derek talking about HIV/AIDS at first because it was at its peak at that time.
I was waiting for y’all lmfso
If we don't start getting more "FEXI" (Fez and Lexi) im going to lose my shit. im over Rues drugged out love triangle, and im for sure over cassies bipolar ass .
Well, unfortunately, I think we won't getting much more. That all the interaction was created to "wake up" Lexi's character, and update and show her motivation and characterization for this season.
Maybe for the third season.
I live for y’all reactions 🤣
This was probably the most unhinged episode but I was here for it
The detail with the scene from the window when we see Rue dancing alone in her room tripping that she is dancing with her father reminded me of a similar scene from the Haunting of Hill House when Nell dances alone like she holds someone and we learn afterwards that she was hallucinating dancing with her dead husband...It's also the show that has one of the main characters as heavy drug addict and lots of family dramas and explorations of thematic of grief and trauma in relation to the addiction only explored through horror, so I've perceived this scene of Rue dancing as a little nod to another great show!
I have been waiting for this :)!
Hey guys. Happy to see other Euphoira reactors. Ya’ll are awesome
The movie scene is from Ghost with Demi Moore, before the titanic.
randomly stumbled on you guys and now after i watch the new episodes i come here.
we been wondering who the third child is since the first season lol
I was on edge throughout this episode. It was so good.
The writing and the pacing of this season are just odd :/
@@paulaluzuriaga9416 too many cuts and flash backs, I can’t tell if it’s meant to stick with the chaotic theme or it’s a terrible artistic mistake. Brilliant and chaotic
7:57 the movie is called Ghosts made in 1990 by Jerry Zucker
My faves are also Lexi, Fez, and Ashtray.
me too
Rue is dressed majority of the people that have died might be a clue that she is dead or close to death this season
jules turned her phone off because rue's text interrupted her and elliot last time
🚨🚨 I'm scared Cassie is pregnant and that the flowers are symbolic of blooming, like a woman's body blooms with new life
So sad Cassie but amazing performance from Sydney
That movie was “Ghost” with Patrick Swayze
naturally, someone might've said this already but it was said in like season one that Cal basically hated Aaron
also a bunch of people noticed the third child in the family picture but they just like haven't addressed it yet so I wonder how that will hopefully inevitably come up because it seems like the blowups can't get crazier and then they do
My fav is clearly Fez, like he's so gentle, so calm, weirdly responsible and mature considering the shit he does for a living, he's respectfull with everyone, he cares for Ash and considering how Ash turned out from being in survival mode all his life with their grandma, Fez surely have some hardcore trauma too and he's still the kindest, least problematic of them all. I mean, he doesn't live in the same "world" as them, he's not really a teenager or not exactly allowed to be, so he doesn't see things the same way the other does, so that's maybe why he seems so detached from bullshit. Anyways i love him a lot.
I hope ashtray and fez can go from surviving to thriving one day.
