I will say this now you have been doing your soloing the ark series for 6 seasons now and you still haven’t lost steam for uploading I can tell this game has a special place in your heart keep up the hard work
I lost my otter in this cave. RIP Fuzzynose. Was able to save my Baryonyx tho ... he ended up on a ledge. I cryo'd him and then grappled out. (I died in the lava with my otter)
I lost two dinos in that cave because of rabies, a baryonyx and a thyla. They disappeared into the mesh when I died trying to get close to the entrance, went back in and they had just disappeared. I got my thyla back, however, a few months later after doing a mesh fix for the skylord artifact. I was flying around the swamp and saw bats sticking out of the ground so I flew to the cave entrance and started whistling and she popped out of the ground. I had to punch her to get her out all the way lol.
At least you got the thyla back! I had something similar happen to me xD may i ask, what is a mesh fix? does this have to do with the artifact of the skylord not spawning in singleplayer (and does it fix it?)?
@@rusope1050 yeah I did the mesh fix, (have a cryoed dino with you I ended up on the other side of the map by myself) and yes it worked to get it to spawn. I started flying around looking for something to tame and saw bats sticking out of the ground next to the swamp north of the lava cave so I played a hunch flew down and started whistling follow all flying low to the ground everywhere around the cave and my thyla popped out of the ground following my flyer. I had to punch her to get her out all the way lol.
@@rusope1050 the mesh fix is an admin command that you can put in that pushes everything caught in the mesh up a level. If you look up the skylord artifact it will usually be there for what you need to enter.
@@TrainerJoshB does the mesh fix work for those stupid drops on genesis 2 as well? xD it's pretty impressive what all is falling through the mesh on that map (i'm on single player so at least i can always use the ghost command if needed. still annoying tho). anyway, thanks for the help/tip!
@@rusope1050 no problem and honestly I haven't tried lol. I've been playing single player as well and have the same problem on genesis 2. I'm a liitle hesitant to try the fix on gen 2 because I'm afraid I'll somehow end up in Rockwell's innards lol.
I really enjoy the "stone age" in Ark. I tend to build in stone and use the industrial crafting stations. I haven't bothered fighting the bosses because your reward is access to the Tek tier. I've run out of things to do. I guess it's time to take on those bosses.
You could take your mining laser up to blue obelisk, put it all in the obelisk, then pull it out of your multi tool at your base for easy transport of a ton of metal.
you know you can disable harvesting on ur dinos, right ? so you dont have to drop ur inventory all the time, just gather the meat u think u will need, and then disable it :)
Use a Barry onyx in the lava cave, not your well bread and imprinted thighla. You can use your imprinted thighla to get to the cave, but inside the cave, the Barry onyx remains the king of caves.
I lost one of my favorite sabretooths in this cave when I first played ark. Had just learned about breeding and mutations and had a high melee Sabre. Then lost him to a lag in the cave and straight into the lava
Dude the number of imprinted baryonyx Ive lost in that cave is ridiculous. And it's always coming back after getting the artifact, there's a lip up high that my dinos hit making a jump that just dumps us into the lava. After it happened a few times I just decided to.....cheat to get my items back (item cache gun mod). The dinos are replaceable thankfully
Do you do a season where you don't skip maps? I'm relatively new to playing and really enjoyed the first 20ish episodes of this season. It would be nice to see you beat the island and each map in general without skipping around.

For that particular cave I prefer a high end megalania. Stick to walls as well as murder all the things.
