As a c7.5 RS7 performance owner I loved watching this video, while these cars aren't made for the track they do handle themselves fairly well. Especially with the DRC suspension (I think this RS6 had it too) and some minor suspension mods such as sway bars and even just lowering it really grips well in corners. I have the CCBs as well and haven't had any pedal issues (I have tracked too). As for the redline issues, these cars have a weird upshift delay, when you press the paddle the upshift doesn't happen instantly so you kind of have to short shift. You are right Misha the C7 generation is the best gen for the RS6, not heavy regulations, lighter than C8s and quicker. The C8s have become to soft.
I think the rev limiter is quite conservative. I've seen a few vids where (when tuned) the cars go over 7K rpm. I suppose this is healthier for the engine. Especially on track
Misha - I have a C7.5 RS6 - 2016 - mapped to 680hp. The no 1 rule, put simply, is NEVER, EVER drive this car spirited unless you have braided hoses and at least yellow / blueback pads or.................................... you'll get exactly this and on the road, likely a dead car and possibly you. The owner should know better! (PS, I'd question the performance + package - that was tripping out at 6.5k - easy to OBD Eleven raise the light to 6.8 / 7 but unless properly mapped (mine is Lichfield), it will stomp at 6.6. Finally, those intakes should be silver if it were a perf package - granted though, he could've had them painted. In my view though, that wasn't a performance + RS6 at all. Thank you.)
I have a RS7 performance and the intake tubes are black, I have also tracked the car with the stock CCBs and they handled a tight track well. He is probably overdue for a flush or pads. 3 consecutive hard laps at the ring in my stage 2 F90 M5, no problem with brakes whatsoever. Also no understeer like this RS6 at for example at Adenauer Forst but some oversteer at will :D

have you guys noted the change in exhaust sound during the last third? What was that? It was way less crisp and more "whooshy" like the exhaust flap closed partially during the run.

She's quite a big girl at 1950-2100ish kg (43-4600lbs) but man how the Quattro system just claws it out of the corners. Could see you were extra focused on those necessary corrections, shame the brakes were fatigued a bit early but handled like a boss as always. I'm curious what the most noticeable difference is, besides weight, between the Avants & sedans handling at the limit...?

Fabulous piece of kit but as others have said the brakes DEFINITELY need upgrading on the C6 or C7 if you want to do anything more than average braking as they have a LOT of weight to slow down and stop.
Can somebody explain why he needs to flush his brake fluids? Is it because of the ceramics or what is the purpose of doing that? Genuinely interested please lmk!
@@jippiessliedrecht because put simply, the viscosity of the fluid is now much much thinner from being cooked due to pressure causing heat. This needs dot 5 in it after a flush out of that old stuff which is now completely US.

That's the way it's from factory. Not all tuners raise the limiter for longevity

Even with the really low RPM rev limiter, tired brakes and bad traffic can still easily see how fast the car is.

Tire pressure increasing due to the air heating up? Is nitrogen available for tires in Germany. I believe it is effected less than air.
I don't see a lot of Audis where I live , but if I was going to look for a Audi station wagon . An older RS4 would be the one I want .
