Great video from beginning to end. You’re really good at giving us the whole picture. I’m sailing in Dec and have watched so many RUclips videos on this ship. Just so I can be prepared and know how to get to the places I plan on going to. I have to say this videos exceeded my expectations and totally has me all dialed in now for when I board. Thank you for a clear view of what to expect. Nicely done 👍
Interesting looking ship, I'll consider it for the future. I just got off my first solo cruise with Princess on Ruby and was on the same deck as you were and noticed that your 'cabana' balcony was almost as big as the balcony we had on Caribe deck on that ship!.
With regard to the lifejacket demo, when I was on Valor last year, the crew member asked if we were comfortable with putting it on. We were outside on the promenade deck. My best friend, who hadn't been on a cruise in 6 years, said yes. The crew member said we were free to go. So I feel it depends on the ship and/or the travel party as to whether or not they do the demo.
@@louisejohnson3093 while I was on the ship I walked into that space to see for myself what could be making the noise and it is a small pantry area for the bar. I asked the crew member working in there if anything clangs around in that space or if it is cleaned in the middle of the night. No to both. And there was nothing in there that could measure up to what I was hearing inside my room in terms of size and impact even if something wasn’t secured. Appreciate you trying to help though!
Hello I love your videos, I sailed on the Firenze this past spring and found it, alone with several other cruisers very boring. The only entertainment was the sail away party. The cruise director was not always visible. He was not very personable.nor entertaining., The wait staff looked very unhappy, not many restaurants as the other Carnival Ships I've sailed. And last but least the BEST cruise director is DEON!! He entertained from day one to night before departation and was always in character!

There was a very similar number of dining options on this ship compared to other Carnival ships I’ve been on. What did you feel it was missing specifically dining-wise? And there was quite a bit of entertainment on my sailing, so if the sail away party was all they were doing on yours I wouldn’t be happy either. I’ve had Deon as my cruise director before and while he was fun, I’m still a mega Joey fan 😄 this ship debuted in Spring, so were you one of the first sailings?
Carnival lost me as an option for my family when they introduced menu mate. Panorama management and kitchen staff admitted it’s not something they even use so every meal was a nightmare trying to figure out. The menu mate podium was empty when we tried to talk with them throughout the trip and there was no iPad or software to enter allergens as promised. It felt like staff was very minimal all around the shop and they couldn’t care less about guests.
@@Nousername-k4z that’s really sad to hear. I always saw someone near the podium with a tablet whenever I walked by. I wonder if the Panorama was going through some staffing issues during your trip?
@@SoloCruiseTravel Possibly, but to advertise one thing and provide the complete opposite was very frustrating. Allergies are a big deal for our group and menu mate was one of the reasons we decided on this ship.
Hi there. I am sailing in Jan 2025. I am terrified of dogs as I have been attacked twice now. Can you please tell me if I'll be close to a dog on embarkation at the Long Beach port?? Thanks and nice video ❤
@@juliemolthop8980 thanks for watching. I know on occasion Carnival has a drug sniffing dog at embarkation to ensure nothing is being smuggled on board, but it isn’t a guarantee it will be there. As far as passengers, I didn’t see anyone on board with one. The only exception for dogs on a cruise is if they are certified seeing eye dog for their owner.
Hi....I prefer the Carnival Panorama to the Firenze. On my cruise the roof was closed in the Lido area. While it was cool outside, it was hot a muggy inside. And also, the music was very loud and boomy with the roof closed. We always love Carnival and the funship vibe, but because of the acoustics, it didn't really work on the Lido deck. Also, I much prefer the Pig and Anchor buffet that the Panorama has on deck 5 vs. La Strada Grill. But that is just a personal food preference. The décor around the ship was beautiful. On the Panorama, we stayed in a Havana cabin which is equivalent to the Terrazza cabin on the Firenze. I can't recommend these cabins enough. I loved the exclusive area which was always half full or less (even on sea days), and our own private outdoor bar. Also got really personal bar service. We met so many nice people and had a great time in that area of the ship. It is well worth the extra money. So I don't love or hate the Firenze, I just prefer the Panorama. Sorry to hear they kept it closed during your cruise. This time on Firenze fortunately it never was. Glad you’ve had the great fortune to try both. The Panorama is a treat!

Yeah. When I went out of NYC on the Venezia, it was $45/per night.

I tried the Firenze, I like the Panorama and the Radiance better personally. Did like the greenery and Serenity tho.🎉
