That would add 5-10k on the price tag
AWD would mean more weights, bigger price, and would probably be less powerfull unless they design a brand new engine that can give same specs on the WHP than the FWD ones.
Why? For better 0-60 times?
@raymondayeung better for winter. I'm in canada so I'd prefer AWD, but I feel like if you are good enough of a driver it shouldn't make a difference.

Today I visited my local Hyundai dealer for the '24 Elantra N and the salesman show me that on a 500 miles radius there was no availability for the next 3 months, then I told him to ask his Management, and was explained that until mid '24 no new "N" expected. I don't like the '22-'23 Elantra N front and was waiting for the '24 model. Very disappointing!
